A NEW HOME

The creaking door opens, Liviana steps in, the door to her home was a few inches away from the old lady she had given her bag to, but she couldn't recognise it, was it because she was too desperate to see what the palace looked like. Daisy gave her a room to stay in and a few blankets to warm herself. "Tomorrow, we would talk," Daisy says, Liviana nods agreeing, she wasn't in the mood to start a conversation instead. Daisy shut the door slowly, Liviana lay on the stone-like bed, it had just a small window and that was enough she could see the moon just from there. She took her hands in the air staring at them. "That damned prince" she stared deeply at her hand, tiny blue flames came burning on her finger. Just like many years ago, she smiled. Her mind had wandered off to his bare skin, from his neck to his lower abdomen, she imagined them. Liviana had not realised the flames on her fingers were getting longer. Liviana breathed in, shaking his body from her head. "Oh!" She got up, staring at the bed, why was thinking of him? Liviana stared at her finger, they were on fire, she covered her mouth with her other hand, looking around the room for any sign of water, finally, she found it, she dipped her hands into the bucket, sighing in relief. She was a mess she thought. Morning came and sunlight crept into her room, shining on her face, the palace bell would be heard loudly from where she lay, and the sound of people walking and talking was clear, Liviana covered her ears, trying to sleep more. She turned to stare at the wooden ceiling, wondering what Daisy was doing, the house itself sounded quiet. She got up, wiping her blurry eyes, Liviana opened the door, looking at the ground, she spot feet at her front. "Huh?" She followed, didn't look like Daisy's they had muscles and were nicely built. Her gaze fell on the handsome man at her front, he had no shirt on, Liviana could barely take her eyes off his hard rocked chest. "Who are you?" his deep voice asked, Liviana blinked countless times. "Daisy?" "Huh? you know Daisy?" she interrupted. "I do, who are you?" Liviana's eyes fell on his chest again, what was going on? why is it people don't really cover up? "Oh, Lason" Daisy stepped out of her room, waving to him, she hadn't remembered Liviana was living with her, "Did you sleep-" she froze. "Lason!" she came forward seeing Liviana at his front. "Who's she?" Lason asked again, like he had asked countless times. "First of all, put on your clothes" She pulled Liviana out of his sight. "Who's he?" Liviana asked, taking her eyes off him. "My half brother" Daisy brushed. "I am not your brother" Lason corrected, Liviana tightened her lips, "Who's she?" "Ain't you supposed to be at the palace?" she questioned back. "I am, I came to shower and rest," He says, staring at Liviana who didn't look concerned about the whole situation. "You rest?" Daisy laughed, throwing a blanket at him. "Who is she?" He asked over and over but Daisy didn't seem like she was even paying attention to his words. "That's Diona's daughter, Liviana" She says out of the frustration of hearing his voice. "You know me?" Liviana looked at Lason, he took a quick look at her, her beauty was indeed charming, like he was bewitched he smiled hopelessly. "I remember you!" she turned back to Daisy. "He's Prince Aiden's right-hand Knight, one of Harcadia's finest knights," Daisy says, "He was at the square when I saved you," She replied. Liviana paused, she didn't see the man's face at the square or know if the prince was with anyone, for a minute she had thought he was the one who barged into the prince's room when Aiden had hidden her. Maybe she should just keep silent she assumed. Liviana looked at him, he was still staring at her like he had seen a ghost, she managed a smile, looking away. "What's wrong with him?" Liviana asked. "You're beautiful like they said," he replied, Daisy looked in their direction, it was a mystery to hear him say that, Lason was the type to stay devoted to the prince and him alone, he didn't have eyes for women, she giggled, he was indeed a mystery. "Look at the almighty, Lason" She shook her head, stepping towards him." You better leave" she tapped his shoulder, giving Liviana a sign. "What's the prince's name again?" Liviana rubbed her arms together. "Why? are you interested-" Daisy interrupted by Liviana's scream. "No!" she screamed, Lason and daisy glanced at her, she sounded like she totally hated him. "That's alright you don't have to yell like that" Daisy says, heading to the kitchen she took out a pot. "I mean, you sounded like you hated him" Lason giggles, "it's very understanding, he's a brat" He smiles at her, and Liviana returned it. "What's he like?" She asked, they both froze at her questions. She could tell they were staring, it felt awkward. "Ah, I am hungry" she whined. "He's a kind prince, unlike his father, that's someone you should stay away from" Daisy replies, Liviana smiled glancing at Lason. He wore a white shirt and took a black leather bag heading out. "Would I see you later?" she asked, before he could leave, Lason looked back at her. "Of course, any time my lady" He replied, smiling. Liviana shook, this was the first time she was treated with respect, maybe because he didn't know she was a witch. "Does he know?" Liviana asked Daisy, "Know what?" Daisy muttered. "That I am a witch?" she mumbled, staring at the door. "He does" She looked back at her, their eyes met for a second with extreme silence, this made Lason more attractive to her. Maybe he could be of little help. "First of all, no asking Lason for help, Second, do not enter the palace..." Liviana looked at her, not understanding what she was doing, "Seven.." "What are you doing?" Liviana asked. "New rules," Daisy says. "That's absurd!" Liviana laments.
