Chapter Twenty-Four Matilda slices the orange in half on the wooden cutting board. The kettle screams out loudly. The coffee pot is filled up and stirred around. A dark and steamy brew is poured into the two mugs. Jacqueline takes a sip as Matilda pushes down on the small juicer with an orange half and rotates her hand quickly from side to side. Jacqueline stands next to the table over the top of the bar fridge in the plush hotel room. Her large sandy colored ears stick upright, alert to the sounds coming from the orange being freshly juiced. She steps away to the window revealing her large padded and muscular legs a thick very long tail and a bulging pouch across her stomach.
