My father steps forward and apologizes on my behalf, his voice smooth and diplomatic like he's trying to clean up a mess I made. "I'm sorry for my son's behavior," he says to the room, that fake smile plastered on his face. "This is supposed to be a banquet, a celebration, and he's making a scene in a public gathering. It's disrespectful to our hosts."
"This public gathering has my mate being held prisoner," I snap at him, not caring that I'm contradicting him in front of everyone. "This pack came all the way to Bridgewood Academy to accuse my mate of murder. They dragged her away in front of everyone, humiliated her, and now they're hiding her somewhere. So yes, I'm making a scene. And I'm going to keep making scenes until they bring Raven to me right now, this instant."
