Raven's POV
The next thing Emma does is suddenly fake, her whole body language changing in an instant. She stumbles backward dramatically and her voice comes out loud and shaky, loud enough for everyone in the classroom to hear. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! You didn't have to push me that way, Raven! Why would you do that?"
I stare at her in complete shock because anybody could be the villain in this school, anybody could betray me, but not Emma. Not the girl who was always trying to get my attention, always smiling at me in the hallways and asking if I wanted to study together. But here she is, lying through her teeth while my body feels like it's on fire, itching so badly I want to rip my own skin off just to make it stop.
Everyone in the classroom is staring at us now.
