Chapter 4

"Uh oh! Lukas is in trouble now. Zac looks furious." "There were just a dozen complaints on the phone. He still dares to come back?" "At least two hundred dollars will be deducted from his salary. What a wasted day." Several employees whispered, some gloating as they watched. Bruce also gave Lukas a cold glance and asked angrily, "Mr. Bates, is this your employee?" Zac quickly sneered. "Boss, I forgot to introduce him. This is Lukas. Not only did he insult his superiors, but he's also the worst-performing delivery guy. I was just about to fire him!" With a stern face and furrowed brows, Bruce said, "Clear out the riffraff and welcome the new boss." With that, Bruce adjusted his suit, stepped forward, and walked smilingly toward the Bentley. Following Bruce 's command, Zac proudly pointed at Lukas. "Lukas, pack up your s**t and get out of the company!" Lukas rolled his eyes, looking at Zac like he was an i***t, and muttered, "Idiot." Zac immediately flared up. "Lukas, did you just insult me?" "You're finished! You're fired right now, and you'll compensate the company for its financial losses!" Zac shouted angrily, his eyes bulging. Lukas really didn't know his place! Did he think he was the boss? How arrogant! But at that moment, the door of the Bentley opened, and an elderly man with a cane stepped out, his face full of anger as he said, "Who dares to fire him!" Following that, the elderly man walked past Bruce, who was smiling, to everyone's surprise. In three quick steps, he approached Lukas and respectfully said, "Sorry, young master. I'm late." His voice was not loud but shocked everyone present! In a matter of hours, Lukas had transformed into a young master? What was going on? Bruce stood frozen in place, his smile gradually freezing on his face. Zac was even more shocked, his mouth wide open. "Sir, what did you call him? Young master? Are you sure you've got the right person? Lukas is our worst employee!" Dougie just shot eye daggers at him. Bruce, with a slightly furrowed brow, hurried over, warmly saying, "Dougie, you must be joking. Let's talk about this indoors!" Bruce was an entrepreneur. He knew that Dougie was the chairman of Summit Enterprises, a dominant force in Eldoria! Dougie stood there, giving Bruce and Zac a frosty look, clearly annoyed as he said, "Who said we're joking? This young man here is your new boss!" How was this possible? The new boss? "You said you wanted to fire me?" Lukas leaned against the electric bike, hands in his pockets, and smirked at Zac. "Well, now I'm telling you, you're fired. You can leave." At this, Bruce suddenly got it! 'Oh no! Lukas is really the new boss of the company!' He was sweating profusely, avoiding looking at Lukas, and hated Zac even more. "What did you say? You're firing me?" Zac laughed, his expression grim. Had Lukas gone mad to say such a thing? At this moment, Dougie, standing next to Lukas, gave Zac a cold glance and said icily, "If our young master says you're fired, then you should leave now!" Dougie's face turned ugly. This guy dared to insult his young master. He was definitely looking for trouble! Only then did Zac react. Bruce slapped him in the face angrily, shouting, "Zac, get out of the company right now! You're fired!" 'Zac is such an i***t. How could I believe someone like him and promote him to company manager?' Bruce thought angrily. "Boss, what do you mean?" Zac covered his face, his expression incredulous. "I mean, Lukas is our new boss. If he says you're fired, then you are." This statement shocked everyone present! Zac trembled all over, shouting, "Impossible! He failed in business and he's just a loser. How could he be the new boss?" Bruce frowned. "He's not as simple as you think." Zac glanced at Lukas with a disappointed expression, looking as deflated as a wilted leaf. At this point, he suddenly realized that the elderly man standing beside Lukas was none other than Dougie from Summit Enterprises! A billionaire with assets of over a hundred billion! Since he called Lukas young master, could it be... "Zac, from now on, you're fired. Get out." Lukas stood up straight, and as soon as he spoke, Zac was completely dumbfounded, standing still. 'Just now you insulted me, didn't you? You even tried to fire me! Sorry, I'm the new boss now. If I tell you to scram, you have to scram!' With a thud, Zac knelt directly, holding onto Lukas's thighs and saying, "Mr. Kaur, I didn't recognize such a big shot like you. I was foolish. Please don't fire me. For the sake of our past experience, let me stay in the company, even if I'll just deliver pizzas!" Lukas chuckled. "So now you're begging me? It's a bit late for that! If I weren't the boss, would you ever let me go?" Such a sentence plunged Zac into despair. Lukas turned to look at his colleagues and said, "I know many of you look down on me, but it doesn't matter. Starting today, your salaries will double!" At that moment, the surrounding colleagues erupted! Double the salary! "Mr. Kaur is awesome!" "Mr. Kaur, I love you!" Then Lukas looked at a beautiful woman behind the crowd and said, "And, Lottie will take over as manager instead of Zac." Whoa! Everyone turned to look at Lottie Gill standing behind the crowd, dressed in a sleek black suit that hugged her figure, with sheer black stockings accentuating her long, sexy legs. Lottie stared at Lukas in disbelief until he departed, still trying to catch her breath. As she watched his figure disappear into the Bentley, a peculiar expression flickered across her face. She hurried over, standing by the car window and leaning in a bit. Her neckline hinted at revealing her chest as she pursed her lips and asked, "Lukas... or should I say, boss, do you really want me to be the manager?" Lukas glanced casually at her plump chest, smiling slightly. "Lottie, what's wrong? Don't you believe in yourself?" Lottie was smart, had a great figure, and was beautiful. She had worked with Lukas before. Promoting her wasn't going overboard. That was just the boss's prerogative. "I... I'm afraid I won't do well," Lottie hesitated. She never expected Lukas to suddenly become the new boss of the company. "Relax, Lottie. Take your time and don't worry," Lukas smiled and then sat in the Bentley and left. Lottie pursed her lips, feeling skeptical. "What exactly is his identity? Why is he so rich but still pretends to be poor?" In the Bentley, Dougie squeezed his wrinkled face into a smile. "Young master, there's an investment project tomorrow, and you need to meet the other party's boss." "None of my business," Lukas replied curtly. He didn't want to deal with these things at all. He was forced to inherit the family fortune. He was not in the mood to attend. "Then, young master, how about you pay me back the three hundred thousand?" Dougie said lightly. Lukas was caught off guard, looking confused, and finally said in a resigned tone, "Fine, fine, I'll go. Are you satisfied?" "Alright, young master, I'll come pick you up tomorrow," Dougie smiled. Just as Lukas got out of the car, he heard a voice of surprise. "Lukas, what are you doing here?" Lukas instinctively turned his head to see Eira looking at him with a puzzled expression. Lukas panicked. Oh no! Eira was going to find out about his identity!
