"You can ask Rodney. I was pretty upset that you guys ditched us, but considering what happened, I'm okay with it now." Tiff's voice rang through my phone. She had called me first thing this morning when she was sure my dad had fallen back asleep.
JJ and I had stayed up all night, running around the city in places we knew my dad wouldn't be. He took me to the top of the water tower. I thought I would piss myself with how high up we were, but the view was absolutely stunning. We spoke pretty much all night, getting to know each other so much better.
