Chapter 3 ~ Wait patiently ~ “Desire nothing from your life” she has already foreseen such things in her life; she bowed again and accepted the decree from the king. Everyone looked at Elise as if she was the biggest fool they have ever seen. “The maid will show you where you are going to stay from now on. You can go now,” the king ordered. Elise nodded and left the royal courtroom, away from everyone's mocking gazes. The maid took her away from the main house to a house at the lakeside. Maids and other workers live there. Even though it looks pretty desolate, Elise liked it because the house has a beautiful and quiet lake behind the garden. She already spent this kind of shabby life, Maid leads her to her room. Unfortunately, it was a dark room; they only placed a bed and a small closet in that room.  But Elise has no problem with this kind of arrangement. She and her mother lived in a small shabby room in the palace, so in her opinion, the place just changed. Her life has remained in the old circumstance, but she didn't felt regret or remorse for anyone, or never would. It’s around noon when the maid came back with a food tray. It was two simple dishes and a bowl of rice. Elise showed her graduation, thanking the maid. In her life, she never disrespects food because food is the most luxurious in her life. After all, she scarcely ate something good in the past. In the southern kingdom, it was her mother who cooked food for them. Even though the king had hundreds of maids and cooks, he left no one to help her mother, so they had to do everything independently. She was about to eat when she heard muffling sounds from outside. Elise put down her palate and walked out. She searched where the sounds were coming out. When she failed to find anyone, she gave up and wanted to go back to her room, but Elise saw a shadow behind the trees. She walked; she made sure not to make any sounds. When she finally stopped before the tree, she leaned over and tried to peek behind the tree; she saw someone was sitting on the ground, burying his face in his knees. Elise felt a little sad seeing these wounds on the person’s shoulder; they look pretty bad. “Hey, are you in pain? She asked in her soft voice. It felt like honey. The wounded person still said nothing; Elise thought he might be in too much pain, so she runs to back to the house and called the maid, The maid came back to her and asked if she needed anything. Elise nodded “do you have any pain medicine? She asked in a hurry. The maid looked concerned. “Are you in pain anywhere? The king ordered the maid to take care of her. The middle-aged maid was a good person.  Whenever she looks at Elise’s face, she feels sympathy for this little girl, a little girl like her entered a tiger den, where people are waiting to rip her apart. “No, I’m not, but I need one, please” she looked at the maid with her begging eyes. The maid smiled “okay for me here; I will get one for you” the maid left and soon returned with the medicine. Elise let the maid go back to her work while she went back to the lakeside and searched for the boy. But he was nowhere to see. Elise felt a little sad, her fragile heart was in pain, Elise was always like this, even though people gave her a thousand wounds from childhood, but if she sees a wound bird, she tries her best to erase other’s pain, even though she doesn't have anyone in her life to wipe out her pain. She went back to her room and ate her lunch, but the painful figure still stalked her like a ghost. She failed to forget those groans. She heard someone came to meet her personally; Elise went to greet the guest. She saw a middle-aged man sitting in the waiting room. He looks simple and has a powerful aura around him. Elise could feel the potent power coming from him. But his simple smile was enough to hide the aura behind an invisible mask. She bowed and greeted him respectfully. “Dear, you’re our future queen; you don’t need to bow to me; I’m the one who should greet you” he stood up and bowed in front of Elise. It shocked Elise because everyone in the western country might already know she is just a trophy queen, so why did this man bow to her. She was just an average person; she doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment from someone who looks like a crucial figure in the western kingdom. “I-i,” Elise stammered. She never faced such a situation, so everything was too sudden for her. The man smiled politely ‘wait patiently, your life will be challenging and full of struggle from now on but remember only hard-working people get rewards who work hard from their heart. one more thing, do not let no one destroy your heart because your kind heart is going to change your fate.” He said; the seriousness in his eyes was something Elise never could forget. She just nodded. The man smiled and bowed once again and left without looking back. His words confused Elise, yet he fled without clearing her doubt. He didn’t even give her time to ask what’s going on. She went back to her room with her confused mind and heart and spent alone time inside the darkroom. She likes to draw, so she asked the maid for some paper and paint color. The maid had delivered everything to her room; she drew a picture. She felt tired around 10 pm, so she went back to bed and wanted to sleep after washing. But she heard some familiar sounds. Elise didn’t put on any shoes as she ran outside to check if the boy came back or not.
