Chapter 13 : Spend Time Together

1212 Words
Hannah was running here and there looking for the equipment she wanted to buy to fill her room, while Thomas just followed the girl from behind. “Now what do you need?" Thomas asked, looking at his watch, fortunately, there was still plenty of time for him to accompany Hannah. “I still need a table and a rug for my room," Hannah said, looking at the note in her hand that she had previously made to write down what she needed. “Come here, I saw a nice carpet earlier," Thomas said as he grabbed Hannah's hand and pulled her hand slowly to follow him. Unknowingly Hannah followed Thomas' footsteps and didn't realize that they were currently holding hands. Thomas also took Hannah into a shop that sells various carpets. “That carpet is good, right?" Thomas said, turning to Hannah. “You're right, the carpet here is so smooth!" Hannah immediately walked away to find the carpet she wanted to put in her new room later. Thomas decided to wait for Hannah outside the shop and chose to sit in one of the seats inside the mall. Thomas thought they were just going to go shopping for a while, but it turned out that he had been accompanying Hannah for three hours and had not finished yet. Even so, Thomas was happy to accompany Hannah around like now. He wanted to do more to win the girl's heart, which was still close to him. A few moments later as Thomas sat casually waiting for Hannah to finish shopping, he saw the figure of Hannah coming out of the previous store with hasty steps. Seeing that Thomas got up from his seat, "What's wrong-" Before Thomas could finish his sentence, Hannah had already pulled his hand away from there with wide strides. Thomas felt the girl was a little different when she came out of the shop and he didn't know what was going on in there. “Hannah, what's wrong? Are you all right?" Thomas asked, levelling his pace with Hannah and starting to try asking the girl. “Shut up! We have to go now.” Hannah looked around warily and didn't stop her steps one bit, she grabbed Thomas' arm to quickly get out of the Mall. Even though Thomas was confused about what was going on, the man still followed Hannah and didn't ask the girl any more questions. . . . In the car on the way home, Hannah and Thomas were silent with neither of them speaking. Hannah with her frantic mind was very confused right now, ever since she married Thomas her mind had become wary and she seemed to be being chased by something. Her life is no longer free and she must keep her marriage a secret so that her other friends don't know. And now Hannah was at a loss as to how to tell Thomas this. Previously because of their busy work, Hannah had not said about the matter that she wanted to hide her marriage to Thomas. Time and time again, Thomas glanced at Hannah next to him, he wanted to ask the girl again, but he could see the look on Hannah's face that didn't allow him to ask. So, Thomas decided to shut up and let Hannah collect her thoughts first. The silence and coldness persisted until they returned home. Hannah got out of the car first and took out the cooking ingredients she had bought earlier. As for the furniture that Hannah bought, the items will be shipped separately by the shop. Thomas followed Hannah's footsteps from behind. Feeling that it wasn't right for him to ask about Hannah's sudden actions at the mall, he would find the right time to have a serious conversation with Hannah later. . . . It's time for Thomas to get ready to go to his important meeting with his mafia clan clients. He must take care of them to solve the problems that his incompetent subordinates have caused. When Thomas came out of his room, he saw Hannah sitting pensively in front of the television. It seemed once again Hannah wasn't paying attention to the television and was lost in her own thoughts. Thomas passed the girl and walked towards the door to leave. However, Thomas' steps stopped when he heard Hannah call out to him. Without turning to look at Hannah, Thomas stopped where he was and waited for what Hannah would say to him. “I have something to tell you," Hannah said in a serious tone. Hannah had decided to tell Thomas to hide their marriage. “Just tell me now, I have to go," Thomas answered curtly as he looked at his watch, he still had a little time before the meeting took place. “I hope you are willing to hide our marriage from outsiders. I don't want my friends and other people to know that we are married," said Hannah, steeling herself to say those words to Thomas. Having managed to say what she wanted to say, Hannah waited timidly for a reply from Thomas. Hannah knew that the man would be angry with her for what she said today, but she also hoped that Thomas would agree to her request. "I don't want to." Of course, Thomas was surprised by what Hannah had said to him, so he decided to continue walking without even turning to Hannah. “But… Wait a minute, listen to my explanation,” said Hannah getting up from the sofa, intending to catch up to Thomas who was walking away. Thomas turned around and cast a sharp glare at Hannah. Instantly Hannah stopped where she was and could only stare at Thomas who was looking at her angrily. “If you want to explain, say it when I get home later.” Thomas turned back and left Hannah at home alone. Hannah sighed when she saw Thomas leave her, it seemed she had to wait until tomorrow to discuss this matter with Thomas. Hannah walked into her room which was finished with all the furniture she wanted. Hannah threw herself on the bed and thought again about her marriage to Thomas. . . . Meanwhile, Thomas is currently driving his car fast, venting his anger by speeding on the streets. He didn't expect Hannah to tell him to hide their marriage. Is there something wrong with their marriage? Thomas is really becoming unfocused at the moment, but he has to regain control of himself because soon he will be dealing with high-ranking state officials who like to transact with his mafia business. Thomas decided to call Hector, "Are you there already?" said Thomas directly when their call connected. “I'm here, sir. I'll be waiting for you in the lobby," Hector answered obediently. "I'll be there in a minute and do something for me too..." Thomas also gave an order to Hector and reminded the man to immediately do what he was ordered to do. After that, Thomas turned off their phone. “I hope you don't irritate me any more tonight. If you don't, I'll eliminate you guys," Thomas muttered with a sinister grin and began to speed his car towards a famous five-star hotel in London.
