Felicia's POV
I peered into the eyes of Lorenzo, who held an affectionate gaze toward me. I was unable to believe that he actually looked for me. When my own pack disowned me, he was ready to embrace me.
But was it the truth coming from his mouth? I had been played and betrayed by the people I loved. It was hard for me to believe anything anymore.
In particular, it was hard to trust men, after what Kaden did to me. However, what I witnessed earlier made me feel that not every man was bad. Lorenzo did give the blessing to our daughter and saved Felina's life.
"Mate, why are you quiet?" Lorenzo's voice took me out of my contemplative state. "Why did you run away and use this magical locket to keep your scent away from me?" he queried.
"My pack's alpha threw me out of the pack. He told me if I ever got spotted by him, he would kill me. It all happened after one week of our one-night stand. Then, I turned out to be pregnant. I couldn't let my kids die because of me, so I left this city and my witch friend, Matilda, saved me by giving me a magical locket," I briefed him on the incident that changed my life entirely.
"Kids?" Lorenzo was bewildered to learn that he had more than one child.
"I gave birth to twins. Felina and Emyrus: a girl and a boy," I replied.
"Then, where is Emyrus?" Desperation to see his son was evident in Lorenzo's eyes.
"He is with Matilda in a hotel. He has gotten your eyes," I remarked as I gazed into the emerald green eyes of Lorenzo. "Luckily, he was born strong, but Felina kept getting weaker," I murmured while furrowing my brows together.
"In which hotel Emyrus is staying?" asked Lorenzo. His delightfulness was evident on his face after knowing that he had two kids with me.
"Why do you wish to know?" I inquired. "If you think, I will stay with you here, then you are wrong. I'm thankful to you that you saved Felina's life, but we don't need you," I proclaimed. I had no intention to fall in love again. I had suffered a lot because of it.
"You three belong to me. I understand a lot has happened in these five years. I don't blame you for running away. I blame myself, Felicia, for not coming to you as early as I could. Give me a chance to make up for you and our kids. You have no idea your re-entrance in my life is like rain on a desert for a long time. I won't let you leave this time, even if I have to force you to stay with me." Lorenzo's possessiveness was clear in his answer.
I saw his gleaming eyes and averted my gaze from him. "Do you think Felina and Emyrus will accept you?" I questioned him.
"You cannot keep my kids away from me. Of course, I'm their father. They will accept me wholeheartedly. I'm good around kids," Lorenzo stated. "You owe me five years, Felicia. You'll marry me and become my wife, the Alpha King's Luna, and Queen," he pronounced.
I glanced at him with a perplexed expression. "Do you like me?" I asked, wondering how Lorenzo could be so crazy about me without knowing anything related to my life.
"I love you. Till now, didn't you realize it? I have been mateless for centuries. That day when you appeared before me, I was above the nine clouds. I chased you to the bar and agreed to sleep with you. Every single day I had missed you crazily. Not a single day passed without searching for you," Lorenzo confessed his deep love for me. He leaned close to me and stopped his face at my neck, making me freeze on the spot.
"Your scent is divine," Lorenzo whispered. His hot breath brushed against the skin of my neck, causing me to feel nervous. This was the same effect of his that left on me five years ago on that one night. I found myself losing to him as I soon felt his rough lips on my skin.
I had forgotten the taste of being loved by anyone. But Lorenzo once again awakened those emotions inside me. I felt my chest rising and falling with the rapid pace of my heart.
"You are mine, Felicia. You are all mine," Lorenzo said as he drew me close by placing his hand on my back and his arm wrapped around it.
I looked into his eyes in confusion. My hands rested on his firm chest. "Did you forget what I said to you that night?" He asked me, his nose brushing against mine.
"I forgot everything," I lied.
"Liar!" Lorenzo huskily whispered against my lips. This time our lips were only a hair strand distance away. I let out a shaky breath as I felt myself getting vulnerable in front of the Alpha King.
"Shall I remind you?" The moment that question passed his lips, I stopped blinking. Lorenzo noticed my eyes, and he didn't wait another second to kiss me.
That burning longing inside his heart finally came to an end. He nibbled my lips fervently as if I were his last meal. I could feel that his wolf had missed the taste of my lips for 1856 days.
Third-person POV
Yes, he had counted the days since her disappearance. He was living in hell every day because Felicia wasn't there. Now, she was in his arms, and he didn't wish to let her go anywhere.
Felicia's mind exploded with the feeling that once developed in her one-night stand with Lorenzo. The way his lips would move against her plump lips caused her to demand for more. Her hands, which were on his chest moved gradually up to his nape and she reciprocated him.
Their lips parted soon and their tongues entangled with each other. A muffled cry escaped Felicia's throat, but she didn't stop kissing him until a voice echoed in her head: What you just did? You weren't supposed to fall weak.
Felicia decided to pull away, but to her surprise, Lorenzo had no intention to let go of her.
[Not this time, Felicia.] He said to her through telepathy.
