Another sleepless night. Who was watching her and why? Was it because of Afghanistan or one of the investigations when she was stateside? There was nothing else she could think of.
At 5:00 a.m., she gave up and got up. Now the favorite part of her day— her Bible studies. She was not a morning person by nature; in fact, she seemed to get her second wind after about ten at night. But when she sat quietly with God and felt His presence and read His Word, she was reminded of what He had done for her, and well, peace settled over her. She knew nothing that happened today could be more than she could handle with God’s help.
She showered and got ready for work, then went out on the patio and soaked in the sunrise. It was, indeed, a beautiful day.
