Chapter 10

Sophia's POV

After they drug the b***h out Lance wrapped his arm around me when i swayed. 

"Damn your good even pregnant" Greg says

"Uh duh i'm me" I say smirking

"I put your bags in your room." He tells me

i nod and thank him and look around the house. 

"I'm gonna go see Grey" I mumble

"Stay off that horse your pregnant" Lance says

I roll my eyes and walk out to the barn. When i walk in I see Grey but he was dirty and looked like he was starving. I scream and everyone comes running out. 

"Call the vet now. Who the hell hasn't been taking care of him. John!" I shout

He comes running over and looks at me. 

"What the hell happened to my horse?" I ask calmly

"Ma'am your mother said you were taking him and to stop taking care of him" He tells me

I see red and I start panting. 

"Call the vet now. Get him cleaned up before I have your head" I growl 

I stomp in the house and past Junior and I snatch his gun. I walk in the kitchen and see my mother cooking. I raise the gun and I fire and it hits her in the arm. She screams and spins around and gasps. I walk around the corner and shoot her in the leg and the other arm. She was on the ground groaning but I didn't care. Everyone ran in and gasped. I walked over and leaned over the b***h. 

"Get the f**k out and don't come back ever. If you do I will kill you. You do not f**k with what's mine. If Grey would have died you would have died right here. I don't give a f**k about you and I never will. You have ten minutes to get the f**k out" I say harshly

I stood up and everyone was looking at me with worry. 

"Thanks Junior" I say handing him his gun back

"Anytime Ma'am" He says smiling

"Junior do me a favor. Go to sonic and get me a milkshake and then go to mcdonald's for fries" I tell him

"Yes ma'am. anything else from the store?" He asks

"No thank you. If I change my mind i'll call you" I say 

He nods and smiles and walks out. Lance goes to open his mouth and I glare at him. He shuts it and dad was looking at me. 

"Don't start. Did you know I had her investigated. She was after our money. She doesn't wanna be here. She never wanted to come back. She is broke." i say laughing

"Kitten?" Mar says behind me

"Hi MarMar" I say

She walks over and hugs me and I sigh.

"I missed you momma" I tell her

"I missed you too. How's my girls doing?" She asks

"We are ok. Can you make a strawberry cake for later?" I ask innocently

"Of course sweetheart. Now go lay down right now" She tells me

I nod and Lance sweeps me off my feet and takes me straight to my room. He lays me on the bed and pulls the covers over me and hands me the remote. He kisses my forehead and I just looked at him and he stared at me strangely. 

"You ok?" He asks

"Yeah it's nothing" I tell him shrugging

I flick on the tv and he sighs. 

"Aunt Sophia" the twins shout

I grin and they come running in and jump on the bed. They giggle and snuggle into me. 

"How are my monsters?" I ask them

"We is good. Mommy said you was home and we begged her to come over." Sophie says

"Aw well I missed you" I say kissing their foreheads

"Aunt Sophia why is your tummy round?" Rylan asks

"Cause Uncle Lance and I are going to have a baby" I tell him

"But Uncle Lance hurt you" Rylan says pouting

"I know baby but we will be ok. Uncle Lance hurt my feelings but I do love him" I whisper the last part to him

"Are you going to marry him?" Sophie asks

"I don't think so baby" I say

"You two are not suppose to be bothering your Aunt. She needs to rest" Marley says

"Leave them alone. We are talking. Now go fetch us junk food peasant" I say to her sternly

"Yes Princess. As you wish" She says and bows and leaves

we giggle and Buck walks in and smiles.

"How you doing love?" He asks

"I'm good, tired but good." I tell him

"Aunt Sophia is gonna have a baby" Sophie squeals

'"I know love. So that means we have to be extra careful when playing around Sophia so she doesn't trip on your toys" He tells her 

"Yes sir" They say

Marley walks in with a tray of junk food and we all three grin. I turn on Beauty and The Beast and we all three sit back and eat and watch. Soon enough the twins falls asleep and I lay there watching them sleep. Lance walks in and looks at us and he smiles at me. I don't smile back so he frowns. I roll over and struggle to sit up. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and push myself up. I stand and lose my footing and stumble and he catches me. I bring my finger to my lips and point to the door. He nods and we walk out. I walk down the stairs and slide on my shoes. Lance follows me and I make it to the barn. I walk over and see Grey resting but looking better. 

"He will be fine" Lance says

"You don't know that. If he dies I will lose a big piece of me" I whisper

"He isn't going to die. He is being taken to the vet tomorrow and will remain there on watch til he is healthy again." he tells me

I continue to stare at Grey and I reach out touching him and he jumps back and won't let me touch him. 

"Grey" I whisper

He won't even look at me and I sniffle.

"He hates me" I say letting the tears fall

"No he doesn't baby. He doesn't understand" Lance says

"Yes he does. He knows I wasn't here to protect him. This is all my fault." I sob out

"Sophia sweetheart you have to calm down. Your going to make yourself sick" Allen says walking over

"I'm fine" I say wiping my eyes

"No your not. Now let's go for a walk" he says

"I don't want to. I just wanna sit here for a while" I say

Allen sighs but nods and he and Lance walk away. I grab a blanket and walk over sitting on some bails of hay and sit back relaxing. 

"I really am sorry buddy. I'm sorry I wasn't here." I tell him

I don't know how long I sat there but I must have fell asleep cause I woke up to Buck carrying me inside. 

"Go back to sleep" He says

"Grey" I whisper

"Grey is fine. Allen is with him. Sleep sweetheart" He says

I sigh and let my eyes slip closed.

NEXT MORNING

I wake up to the smell of pancakes and I get up and get dressed and walk down stairs. I take a seat and Allen fixes me a plate and I start eating. About half way done I felt it all coming back up so I clamped a hang over my mouth and took off to the hall bathroom. I made it just in time to empty my tummy. I groaned when I felt someone rubbing my back and holding my hair. I was helped to my feet and was handed a tooth brush. I brushed my teeth and Lance helped my back to the kitchen. I take a seat and Mar places a bowl of chicken broth in front of me. I give her a small smile and inhale the whole bowl. 

"Can we go see Grey?" I ask nervously

"Of course we can baby. Put your shoes on and I'll drive you" Lance says squeezing my hand

I nod and slip on my shoes and get in the car. On the way to the vet I was nervous and couldn't sit still. Lance reaches over and grabs my hand and I sigh. 

"He is ok. I called this morning. They said he is eating good and on meds. He even made a friend with the horse next to him" Lance says

"What if he never stops hating me?" I whisper

"Baby he doesn't hate you. He is just scared." Lance says

He pulls into the vet parking lot and helps me out. We walk inside and a girl was behind the desk.

"We are here to see Grey" Lance says

"Sure handsome." She flirts

"Stop flirting and let me see my horse" I snap at her

"whatever" She growls

"b***h i'm the one pregnant with his child" I snap back at her

Her eyes go wide and she smirks. 

Soon Lily walks out and gasps when she sees me. 

"Sophia oh my god." She yells and hugs me

I laugh and hug her back.

"I heard about Grey and I'm taking really good care of him. He is doing so much better. Now why are you shouting?" She asks

I smirk at the girl who gulps. 

"No reason" I tell her smiling

She nods and walks in the back and my head snaps to the girl.

"The next time you won't get so lucky. Learn your place or I will show you where it is" I snap at her

"Yes ma'am" She says and goes back to her work

"No need to be jealous baby. I'm all yours" Lance says

"Well then it's a shame I don't want you isn't it" I snap at him

He flinches back and hurt crosses his face. I stomp off to the stall Grey is in and smile seeing him looking better than before. 

"Hey buddy" I whispers

His ear twitch but he still ignores me. 

"He will be ok sweetie. He was scared and still is. Just give him time" Lily says

Tears flood my eyes and slip down my face. 

"He's my baby. He hates me Lil" I mumble

"No he doesn't. Come with me" She says

She opens his stall and walks in and I follow her. She brings him to me and he goes to jump but stops when he sees my belly. he bends down and bumps his nose against my round belly. He sniffs my tummy and nudges me again. He brings his head up and snorts and bumps his head against mine. I reach my hand up and run it over his nose. 

"I'm sorry" I whisper

He pushes against my hand and lays his head on my shoulder. I lean into him and sigh closing my eyes. 

"See told you he didn't hate you" I hear Lance say

I don't look at him but I sigh.

"I'm sorry" i whisper

"I"m not baby. You have every right to be mad. I'm not gonna stop you for being mad, or upset. I'll give you all the time you want." He says

I reach back and I feel him grab my hand and squeeze it. I pull away from Grey and stumble a bit. Lance catches me. 

"You ok?" He asks

"I'm fine. Just tripped over my own feet" I say 

He nods and we head back to the front. 

"Lil I'll see you later." I say to her

She nods and blows me a kiss and I laugh and head to the car. I take the keys from Lance and drive to the mansion. I park and Lance looks at me weird. I grin and get out and walk inside. 

"Honey I'm home" I shout

Heads pop out everywhere and they grin. 

"Now there are those smiles" I say laughing

"Sohpia your back" They shout

They rush at me and I put up a hand and they stop,

"One at a time. Don't wanna squish your niece do you?" I ask holding up my shirt

Their jaws drop and they all start hugging me. I laugh when they don't listen and jump on me. 

"Alright let her breathe" I hear and stiffen 

I see Tallen (Taz) standing there and back up until I hit someone's chest. Arms wrap around me and someone releases a growl and I see Lance glaring. I turn to see Quinn with his arms around me. I pat his hands and he releases me. 

"I'm fine sweetheart. Thanks though." I say

He nods but still glares at Tallen. 

"So when are you do?" Lex asks

"Two more months." I say

"Oohh can we have a big bbq and just have a family day. We can invite all our families" Callen says

"I don't think is a good idea" Lance says eyeing me

"No it's ok. We can do it at dad's since his house has the pool. There is plenty of rooms." I say

"Alright how about this weekend?" Lance says

"Sounds great. Now get to calling your families. And ask if they would like to stay the week. We can have everyone here for Christmas." I say 

They nod and run off to call their families. Tallen stands there just staring at me but I look anywhere but at him. 

"Um I have something to show you" Lance says

I nod and he takes my hand and leads me to a room besides his. This room was never there so I was shocked. He pulled out a key and unlocked the door and pushed it open. He walked me into the dark room and flipped on the light. I gasped at what I saw. There was a beautiful nursery set up for our baby. I spun around looking at everything and sniffled. 

"Baby?" Lance says

I let the tears fall and Lance wrapped his arms around me. I cried into his chest and hugged him tightly. 

"Hey guys" Lex says

"WHAT?" Lance snaps

"Oh sorry. Um we need a meeting. You ok sweetie?" Lex asks

"I"m fine. give us a minute" I tell him

He nods and I look at Lance. He wipes me tears and I sniffle. 

"You ok?" He asks

"I'm fine. When did you do this?" I ask 

"While you were gone. Right after I found out about the baby. I hired someone to do it." He tells me

"Thank you" I whisper

He kisses my forehead and leads me out of the room and to the rest of the guys. 

"You ok?" Quinn asks

I nod and take a seat on his knee. I sigh and arch my back when a pain runs through me. Quinn grips me so I don't fall over and rubs my back.

"So what's the problem?" I ask 

"Um my mom can't make it. She has to work and they won't let her off so I will be going home" Lex says

"The hell you will" i snap

The baby kicks and I gasp. 

"What's wrong?" Quinn asks

I grab his huge hand and place it on my tummy. She kicks again and he jumps and I giggle. I lift my shirt and lean back into Quinn.

"Guys look" I tell them

They look at me and you can see my baby kick and move around. everyone gasps and comes over to me. 

"Can we?" Lex asks

I nod and they starts feeling her move. After a few minutes everyone had a feel and Lex helped me off Quinn.

"Where does your mom live and work?" I ask

"About two hours away from here" Lex says

"Lance pack me a over night bag. Lex get the car. We are going on a road trip now" I say walking over to put my shoes on

Everyone looks at me and I glare.

"Move" I shout

They jump and start getting things together. Lance comes back with my bag and we walk to the car. I throw the keys to Lex and get in the passenger seat. 

"Drive" I tell him

He nods and Lance slides in the back seat. we drive through town and I see Mcdonald's so I point and Lex pulls through the drive thru getting me what I want. I happily eat while he drives down the interstate. I turn the radio and start humming and about half way through I dose off. 

"Sophia" I hear

"What?" i hum

"We are here love" Lex says

I nod and sit up. I look around and notice we are at a hospital. I grin and walk in with Lex following me. I walk straight to his mom's bosses office and walked in without knocking. 

"Who the?" The man shouts

"Sohpia Hudson." I say 

His eyes grow huge and I smirk. 

"Now I need Ms. Miller to have the next 2 weeks off paid of course" I tell him

"Not going to happen" He says

"That's ok. I'll get her to quit and get her into a better hospital and pull all the funding from this hospital" I say and walk out

Lex looks at me worried and  I pull out my phone making a call. 

"Where is she?" I ask ten minutes later

"Lexy?" I hear

"Hi mommy" he says smiling He scoops her up and hugs her tight

he puts her down and introduces us. 

"It's so nice to meet you. You taught this one well" I tell her

"You to sweetie. Now care to tell me why your hear" She asks

"Well you no longer work here. You are now working at General hospital near Lex now." I tell her

She gasps and looks at Lex who nods and she smiles and starts crying. 

"Don't thank me mom. Sophia made it happen. I kind of told her how you struggle and well now we can be closer to one another" He says

"You amazing sweet girl. How can I ever thank you?" She asks

"You could take us home and feed us while I call a moving company" I say smiling

"Of course. Let's go." She says

When we get to the parking lot Lex whispers how she takes the bus to work. I sigh and nod and Lex drives us to his mom's house. When we arrive I notice her apartment is in a rundown neighborhood and not safe. When we enter her apartment is almost empty. 

"I don't need much since it's just me" She says 

I smile at her and ask her if there is anything she wants to keep or if she just wants to start new.

"There are a few things but the rest we can donate to the shelters." She says

"Why doesn't Lex help you?" I ask

"Sophia" Lance snaps at me

"It's alright. He wants to but I won't let him. he has his girlfriend and she's pregnant. He needs that money for his family." She says

Lex groans and I look at him deadly. 

"I want to meet her as soon as we get back" I tell him

"Soph I love you like a sister but no. Jessica will not anything about what I do. She will stay innocent to all this." he says

"i just wanna meet her. Make something up. Tell her i'm your friends girlfriend. I mean he's your boss but pleaseeeeee" i say pouting

"Fine but the minute any of this comes out i'm done and we will be moving" He says with deadly eyes

"you know i would never put a child in danger especially a unborn one." I tell him

"Soph i'm not being mean but apart from you being the lady of the house and my mother she is the only woman I have ever cared for. I would give my life to make sure she's safe. One slip up and we disappear" He says in that stern tone

I reach over and grab his hand and give it a squeeze. 

"Ok now shush and let us talk. Here play with Ariel" I tell him

I lift my shirt and place his hand on my tummy as she kicks. 

"You want me to play with your unborn daughter" He asks 

"Yeah" I say and press his hand down and she kicks back

He does it again and she kicks him again. We talk for about 30 minutes while Lex plays with Ariel and I smile. I see how his eyes light up when she kicks him. She kicks hard and I gasp and groan. he jerks his hand back and looks at me with concern. 

"It's not you she kicked the wrong spot to hard" I tell him holding my side

"Are you sure your ok?" Lance asks

"I'm fine honey." I say patting his hand

She kicked again and I sighed when she had moved from the tender spot. 

"She move?" Lance asks

"Yes daddy. wanna feel?" I ask him

His eyes light up and he nods happily. I giggle and take his hand and place it on my tummy. He pushes a little and she kicks him hard and I gasp. I swat his hand away and grip my tummy again. 

"ok no more playing with her. I'm going to be bruised" I say panting

"Hey sweetie drink this. It will help and help her sleep" Jenna says (Lex's mom) 

I thank her and slowly sip it and moan. there is a knock on the door and the moving guys walk in. 

"they will pack everything and you can go through it when it's moved and donate what you don't want. Tonight we are going to stay in a hotel and order room service. Tomorrow when we get home there are some apartments I picked out you can choose from" I tell Jenna

"Sophia you don't have to do all this" She tells me

"Yes I do. We are family" I tell her and walk out the door to the car

I hear the guys telling her not to argue cause I would win and I smirked. I get in the driver seat and everyone comes down and slides in. I drive to the biggest hotel here and Lance goes to the front desk. I was busy looking around when I heard the girl tell him what time she got off. So i took my pregnant self to the front desk and wrapped my arms around him.

"You ok baby?" He asks

"Sleepy" I mumble into his chest

I heard the girl mumble slut and I smirked.

"I'm only a slut for him. How else do you think I got pregnant with his child?" I ask grinning

She gasps and Lance chuckles and kisses me. 

"I would like to speak to your manager" Lex says beside me

She gulps and walks away and comes back with the manager. 

"What seems to be the problem?" She asks

"this young lady was telling my boss what time she got off work. She called my pregnant sister a slut and my sister come back with a remark." Lex says sternly

"I will handle it sir. Tonight everything is complimentary. Here are your keys and have a great night." She says smiling

we nod and head to the elevator that takes us o the penthouse. When we enter I run over to the phone and all room service. 

"Yes I would like chicken tenders, fries, a cheese burger, a grilled chicken sandwich, some spaghetti, and some cheese sticks." i say 

Everyone looks at me like i've grown two heads and I pass the phone around to let them order. 

"Why so much?" Jenna asks

"Um it's free and I didn't know what I wanted so i ordered everything that sounded good" I say smiling

They nodded and walked over to the huge glass window and looked outside.  I felt someone stand beside me and when I glance over it was Lex. I reached over and grabbed his hand and he held mine while we just stared out the window. He let go of my hand and wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I leaned into him. 

"You know she is about a month under you. This is our third time trying" He says whispering the last part

I suck in a breathe and let it out harshly. 

"I'm sorry. This would have been my third" I tell him

He looks down at me shocked and I sigh.

"My high school and college boyfriend abused me and I lost one. Then i was seeing someone and got pregnant and lost that baby a week or so after I found out. This is my third" I tell him

"I'm so sorry Soph." Lex whispers

"Its ok. I've taken every precaution I can with this one." I say rubbing my tummy

"Guy's dinner" Lance says behind us

I told around and give him a small smile and he doesn't return it. I take a seat and all the food is placed on the table. I start eating and finish off the chicken tenders, chicken sandwich and the cheese sticks. 

"That was so good" I say sighing

"you done?" Lance asks

I nod and he sticks the rest in the fridge encase I want it later. He walked over and scooped me up and we headed to the bedroom. Hew sat my on the bed and went in the bathroom. I heard the water turn on and he came lifting me up again and taking me into the bathroom. He sat me down and removed my clothes and lowered me into the tub.  He knelt behind me and started washing my hair. There is a knock on the door and Lex walks in with his hand over his eyes and comes over placing a mug down and turning around. He walks back towards the door and walks into the wall. I giggle and he curses and I laugh more. 

"Uncover your eyes stupid" Lance hisses

Lex drops his hand and sighs and walks out. I laugh loudly and clutch my tummy. Lance chuckles at me and rinses my hair. I wash and he helps me out. I dry off and he helps me get dressed and I crawl in bed. HE strips down to his boxers and lays down on his side of the bed. I feel her kick and I lift my shirt and smack Lance. he looks at me and I point to my tummy. She kicks and you can see her push against my tummy. I smile and Lance reaches over rubbing my tummy. I lay back and close my eyes and soon enough I was out like a light. 

THE NEXT MORNING

"Baby come on and wake up. We have to drive back today" Lance says

I groan and sit up. He helps me slip on my leggings and my hoodie and we get in the car. On the way back they were mad cause we kept having to stop cause I was hungry or had to pee. 

"Sophia" Lance snaps

"It's not my f*****g fault" I snap back 

He groans and keeps driving. When we make it back to the house I get out stomping in the house. I slam the door and everyone jumps. 

"What did he do?" Allen asks

"He is mad cause we kept having to stop cause I had to pee" I cry

"Oh baby. Your pregnant it's gonna happen" Hunter says

"I know but he doesn't get that i'm always tired, i'm always hungry, i never know what I want, and I ALWAYS have to pee" I groan

Someone clears their throat and I turn around to see a bunch of people standing there.

"Oh our families are here" Hunter says

"Thanks for telling me. They probably think i'm crazy now" I cry

"Sweetheart your not crazy your pregnant. Your aloud to kill and get away with it" A woman says

"Sophia this is my mother Tiffany" Hunter says

"Nice to meet you" I say sniffling

"Come on and dry those pretty eyes. No need to cry. I'll give yo a frying pan to beat him with if you like" she says

I giggle and smile at her and she wipes the tears from my face. 

"Anyone up for hugs?" I shout

Everyone runs over to me and I snuggle in between all of them. I sigh and lean into them. 

"So your the tiny scary person the boys have been telling us about" a man says

"yup that's me. Hey Jack" I call

"Yes?" He says in a deep voice

"Can you make that milkshake again?" I ask 

He goes red in the face and I giggle. 

"what milkshake?" the boys asks

"Well I had a craving and he mad me one homemade" I say

"Jack doesn't like anybody and hates the kitchen" Lance says

"Please Jack?" I ask 

"fine. But you owe me" he says

"done." i tell him 

He shakes his head and winks at me and walks into the kitchen. Everyone stood ther shocked and I smiled. 

"Hey honeybee where are we putting everyone?" Greg asks

"Oh I made a chart on the way back. It's in my purse" I tell him

"Hell no. Last time i almost got lost in that endless pit of yours. we almost needed a search party" Greg whines

"Oh you big baby I'll get it" Allen says

He walks over picking it up and gasps. 

"What is in here?" He asks

"Everything including the bathroom sink and a brick or two to beat Lance with just encase he pisses me off" I tell him

the ladies laugh and I giggle and the day goes on without a hitch.
