The Long Run

Chapter 11

After getting everyone settled I walk in Lance's room and gasp. He had it remodeled and I was in love with it. 

"I thought you would like it." Lance says

" go look at the bathroom." He tells me

I smile and walk in the bathroom and grin. I turn around and see him chuckling at me. 

"I love it" I say

"I knew you would. I even had a stationed installed for you to sit and do your make up so your not leaning over the sink" He says

I walk over and hug him tight. He wraps his arms around me and squeezes me. Tears flooded my eyes and i sniffled. Lance pulled me back and looked at me. 

"I'm sorry" I sobbed

"Oh baby I know. It's ok. I promise it's going to be fine. Just please stop crying." He says rubbing my back

"Hey Soph" Jack says walking in

I sniffle and turn around and look at him.

"what the hell did you do this time?" Jack yells at Lance 

Lance actually jumps and I smirk.

"Jack it wasn't him. I'm fine. It's just the hormones" I tell him

He nods and walks over glaring at Lance and picks me up. 

"Hey" Lance shouts

i giggle and Jack winks at me. He carries me downstairs and when he enters the room all the guys jaws drop. He sits down with me in his lap and hands me my milkshake. I drink it happily and I lean into closing my eyes.

"Thanks Jacky" I whisper

"Your welcome cupcake" He says

I feel all eyes on us and he puts a blanket over me and I fall asleep peacefully. When I woke up again I was still in Jack's lap and I looked up at him.

"Nice nap cupcake?" He asks

"Uh huh" i say yawning

"Hey princess you hungry?" allen asks

I shake my head and lay it back on Jack's chest. His hand was on the arm of the recliner so I picked up his hand and started drawing random designs in his palm.

"Star" He says

I look up at him and smile. I just a moon and a heart and he keeps naming them. I start playing with his fingers and his whole body tenses. 

"Sophia get up" He says angrily

I jump up slightly scared and he stomps out of the room. I look around and everyone just stared I was slightly shaking and allen wrapped his arms around me. 

"what did I do?" I ask nervously

"Baby you didn't do it. Jack has been through some tough s**t in his life. You probably did something that triggered a memory not meaning to" Lance says

I sigh and walk off to find him. Everyone follows me and when I get to Jack's door I walk in and close it locking it. Jack was in the shower so I sat on his bed waiting. When he came out he was shocked to see me. I seen his knuckles were bleeding so I made his sit so I could clean and patch them up.

"what happened?" I ask

"Three years ago I was engaged to the love of my life. we were so happy. She use to sit in my lap like you were and play with my fingers. I soon found out real quick she was a traitor to us all. she was working with another gang and already married to their leader. when it came time to take her out I couldn't do it. I was labeled as weak so that's why I don't talk or show any emotions to anyone. Your the lady of the house so your a tad different. But you remind me of my sister so I guess that is why I feel the need t protect you and always be around you. I didn't mean to frighten you earlier. I felt your whole body go tense and you were shaking by time I walked out. Sophia I would never in my life do anything to endanger you or make you fear me. I just needed to get away" He tells me

I smile and kiss his cheek and he sighs.

"I've dealt with anger before. Your not the first. I've held onto anger for years towards so many people and honey it doesn't help being angry. Let it go. Move on with your life. Your a great looking guy with a body that's been curved by gods. Any woman would be lucky to have you." I tell him

he chuckles loudly and I giggle.

"by gods huh?" He asks smirking

"Oh my god yes okay. I'm a female surrounded by abs all day. Sue me for looking. If Lance wouldn't kill me i'd lick ice cream off all of you" i say  laughing

he chuckles and stands and I realize he's in a towel. My eyes bulge and I become hot quick. 

"um out. I. mean. I. um" I say not making sense

"You need to get out" he says chuckling

"um yes that. yeah that" I say standing

I walk to the door and open it and rush out. Everyone was standing there looking at me and I cleared my throat.

"what?" i ask

"what happened?" Allen asks

"we talked" I say clearing my throat

"And?" Tiffany asks smirking

"and nothing" I say

"Come on woman spill" haley shouts

"Towel okay. Nothing but a towel while we talked. Hormones in over overload" I say

Soon the door opens and I fall back and Jack catches me. I look up at him and he chuckles at me. He looks up to see everyone standing there.

"So about those hormones" tiffany says

"Hey don't judge me. Have you seen half of them without shirts. Abs for days so me for being a female" I snap

"What?" Lance snaps

I pull Jack in front of me and lift his shirt up and the girls gasps.

"Curved by gods." I shout

Jack chuckles and pats my hands I and drop his shirt. He pulls me around in front of him and kisses the side of my head. 

"Aunt soph" I hear littles shout

"s**t what are they doing here. Lance they can't be here" I say freaking out

I take off downstairs and stop dead in my tracks when I see a man holding my babies with a gun to their heads. I snatched Jack's gun and pointed it at the guy.

"Babies close your eyes" I tell them

They snap them shut and I look at the guy.

"You are so dead" Lance says

"Son of a b***h. You have 2 seconds to let them go" I roar

"never" He snaps

I pull the trigger hitting him right between the eyes. His body hit the floor and I dropped my gun. I rushed forward falling to my knees ignoring my own pain and pulling the twins in my arms. We were all crying and Lance called Millie and Buck. They showed up and hugged their kids tight. I couldn't get out of the floor so Lance helped me up and a pain ran through my stomach. I gasped and grabbed my tummy and whimpered. 

"What's wrong?" Lance asks

"It hurts" I cry

He sweeps me into his arms and runs me to the hospital wing. 

"Let me check you then do a sonogram ok" He says

I nod and pull my legs up and he checks me.

"Well your dilated to  3. Which means she can come early. I'm not going to put you on bed rest since it's christmas time but stay off that horse. No climbing on things and I want someone with you at all times. No showers only baths" he tells me

I nod and he starts the sonogram. We hear her heartbeat and there is a knock on the door. Jack steps in and I wave him over. he takes a look at the screen and a tear slips down his face. I grab his hand just as Ariel kicks and place it on my belly. She kicks again and he smiles. I peek at Lance to see him in awe.

"Alright she is perfectly fine. Go on and rest a bit" The doc says

I nod and Lance wipes the gel off my belly and he helps me up. We walk upstairs and when everyone sees me they sigh in relief.

"She is fine. she can't be alone at all. No showers only baths. And don't let her climb on anything" Lance says eyeing me

I pout and everyone chuckles.

"alright i feel drained i'm gonna go lay down and watch a movie." I say 

"Wait what are plans for tonight?" Greg asks

"Call and make reservations  at Alavander's" I say

"Alright" He says

"make sure you count for everyone so we have enough seats. Everyone needs to be ready to leave by 7." I say 

Greg nods and I sigh and walk in the kitchen. I look around in the cabinets and the fridge and the back to the cabinets. I see hershey's on the top shelf and I know I can't crawl on things. I smirk and get a idea. 

"Lance" I yell

Everyone comes running in the kitchen and they sigh when I see i'm ok. 

"What baby?" He asks

"Come here" I tell him

he comes over to me and looks down at me. 

"Lift" I say turning my back to him

He grabs my waist and lifts and I grabs the chocolate and rip it open before he can sit me back down and I take a big bite. When my feet touch the floor I spin around and everyone laughs. 

"Really?" Lance asks

"Yes I can't climb nothing wrong with lifting. And I needed it. It was calling my name" I say dramically

 "Soph" Lances starts

"Uh nope don't wanna hear it." I say taking another bite

"Sophia" He says

"Come down to my level" I tell him

He gets right in front of me and I grab his face kissing him. I rub my face against his smearing some chocolate and he chuckles. 

"Ok you. Now we both need a shower" He says

"After chocolate" I say still eating

"Eat on the way there love." He says lifting me up

He walks out of the kitchen and down the hallway to our room. He kicks the door closed and carries me in the bathroom sitting me down on the counter. I sit there finishing my chocolate and humming a tune. Once I lick my fingers clean i look up to see Lance smiling at me. 

"What?" I ask

"Nothing at all. I just realized how much I love you" He says

I sigh and smile at him.

"And how did you come to the conclusion?" I ask

"You just sat there in your own world licking your fingers clean of chocolate while humming a tune swinging your legs like you were five all over again. You always try to find the best in people. You always put family first. You have given me chance after chance. You gave me something I wouldn't want from anyone else" He say undressing me

 He lifts me up and lowers me into the big tub and strips and gets in with me. He gets to washing me and then himself. He steps out wrapping a towel around himself and then helps me out. I dry off and walk into the closet to grab something to wear. I slip on some panties and then I grab a strapless bra and slip it on. I look through my clothes and grab a one piece outfit that would show off the baby bump. I lay it on the bed and walk back in the bathroom. I blow dry my hair and straighten it. I sit down and do my make up and then walk over and slip on my outfit. I turn and see Lance take a picture of me. He types something and then my phone dings. I pick it up and see he uploaded it to his i********:. The caption reads " My beautiful girlfriend carrying the one thing I can't carry for her" I smile and like it. I turn my camera on and take a picture of him standing there shirtless in his dress pants. All muscles on display. I caption it "My sexy man in all his glory. Be jealous ladies he's all MINE" I tag him and he reads in and rolls his eyes and comes over kissing me. 

"Sophia" Jack shouts

He walks in and is grumbling fumbling with his tie. 

"Come here goofy" I say

I get on the bed on my knees and he walks over and I tie his tie and he sighs when I loosen it and leave it that way. 

"Thank you" He says

"Don't tighten it. Leave it loose" I say and pat his stomach

He nods and he helps me down and walks me downstairs. I see all the guys lined up with undone ties. I grab a footstool and pull Jack over and he helps me on it. He stands behind me with his arms wrapped around me while I do the guys ties. After finishing up Jack lifts me off the stool and onto the ground and I turn to find a very angry Lance standing there. 

"What?" I ask

"you were on a stool" He growls

"And as you see Jack was holding me. Lance don't start this s**t again or you will be sleeping on the couch or i'll be sleeping somewhere else" I groan

"So about that food" Someone speaks up

"Yeah let's feed Ariel' Jack says

I nod and grab my purse and we drive to the restaurant. When we arrive Jack steps out and comes around opening my door. He offers me his hand and helps me up. We walk inside and are led straight to our section. 

"Auntie Sophia" the littles shout

I kneel down just in time to have all four of them hug me. I kiss all their foreheads and lean back looking at them.

"how are my littles doing?" I ask

"We are great. Can we please stay with you?" They all ask at the same time

"i don't see why not. You guys can stay with me tonight. But you have to ask Uncle Lance first" I say

They all gulp and look at him and then back at me scared as hell. Sophy on the other hand runs over to him and he scoops her up.

"Lancey can we pwease stay with Auntie Sophia? Pweaseeeee" She begs

"Are you trying to kick me out of my own bed?" He asks her angrily

"Never. Stay wif us" She says smiling

"Well I guess you can but when I say bed time then it's bed time" He tells them

"Otay." She says

He places her down and looks at her. 

"hey little girl" He says

She looks up at him and he bends down and points to his cheek. She kisses his cheek and runs back over to me. 

"Him said yes" She squeals

Everyone jaw was dropped including mine and I giggle at her. 

"Fearless little brat" I say more to myself

I try to get back up but fail until I feel hands helping me up.

"Are you sure you want to take all four of them?" Millie asks along with Makayla

"Of course. They guys are there and we have the space. Enjoy a kid free night." I tell them

I take my seat and we order. We had a peaceful evening and was headed back to the mansion when Lance got a call.

" Take care of it and I'll be there first thing in the morning." he tells the other person

He hangs up and I reach over grabbing his hand and he tenses. I remove my hand slightly hurt and sigh. We get inside and Jack helps me up the stairs to my room. I walk in the closet and come back and sit on the bed. 

"Can you unzip me?" I ask him

He nods and I turn around. he pulls down the zipper and the outfit falls to my feet. He sucks in a breath and I slip off my bra and slip on Lance's t shirt. I slide under the silk sheets and sigh. Ariel starts moving and I giggle. Jack looks at me and I pull him to sit by me. I raise my shirt and place his large hand on my tummy. Ariel kicks hard and Jack chuckles and pushes back. I stare at him in amazement just watching him rub my tummy. 

"You know he doesn't mean to take his anger out of you" Jack says not looking at me

"I know but it still hurts. I try to help but I feel like now that i'm pregnant if I try to help he is just going to snap one day and I or Ariel will end up hurt because of it. I love Lance more than anything but his temper isn't the best and I pay for it most times. I don't wanna think like that or it to be like that but it is and it scares me more than anything. what happens if he suddenly doesn't want us anymore?" I say tiredly

"Do you really feel that way?" I hear from the door way

My eyes snap to him and Jack leans down and kisses my belly and pulls my shirt back down. he stands and kisses my forehead and walks out nodding at Lance. I look over to him and he is eyeing me. 

"Yes and no. You know your temper is awful and i've paid for it multiple times already. I don't want to feel that way at all." I tell him

"baby I don't ever want to lose my temper with you. We argue but every couple does. I promise to try to contain my temper more." He says kissing me

I sigh and lean back. There is knock on the door and we look over to see all the guys standing there. Lance nods for them to come in and they huddle around and look at us. 

"Ok what's up?" I ask 

"Well we had something made for you. Thought we could hang it in Ariel's room." Allen says

Jack steps up with a huge canvas of a picture collage. It was of me and the guys and some of the guys rubbing my belly or kissing my belly and tears welled up in my eyes and slid down my cheeks. 

"Oh baby don't cry" allen says

"It's not sad tears it's happy ones." I say laughing

I pull back the covers and swing my legs over he bed and stand with Lance's help. I walk over and kiss all their cheeks and hug them. 

"I take it you like it?" Allen asks

"I love it. Thank you all so much." I say

"We have one more surprise. Get dressed real quick. Just some comfy pants" Allen says

Lance walks over and grabs some of my jammie shorts and helps me in them. We walk down stairs and out the front door. Allen slips a blindfold on me and someone picks me up. We walk for a while and when we stop I am placed down and I hear a click. The blindfold is taken off and I open my eyes and gasp. There stood Grey with a big blue bow on his neck. We were standing in a barn which was never here so I knew Lance had it built for grey. I sniffle and walk over to him and pet his nose. A sob breaks out of my throat and i kiss his big nose. He bumps me and leans his big head down bumping my belly slightly. I sniffle and pet his ear as he sniffs my belly. I turn around to see all the guys watching me. Tears flow down my cheeks and I walk over to Lance and kiss him hard. 

"Thank you" I say pulling back

"don't thank me. Your dad had it done." He tells me

"Why don't you go lay down and I'll put Grey away and get him settled in" Allen says

I pull away from Lance and walk over to Grey and grab his cover and place it over him. I snap it into place and I walk over grabbing a apple and a knife. I place the apple down and slice the apple quickly. I walk over to Grey and feed it to him and I kiss his big nose. 

"Love you buddy" I whisper

He grunts and bumps my head with his. He steps back into his stall and I close and lock it. 

"Now it's time for bed" I say walking over to Lance

I lift my arms and he chuckles and lifts me up and carried me inside. I was put back in bed and before I knew it sleep over took my body. 

LANCE'S POV

After getting her to bed I walked back down stairs to find the guys just chatting. I took a seat and sighed and they all looked at me. 

"I'm fine. I'm just tired but I need to go over some paperwork. I've been so focused on Sophia lately I have forgotten about the mafia stuff" I grumble

"Don't worry about it i took care of it." Greg says

"Thank god. Now I need to get Sophia a pendant and after Ariel gets here she needs to be branded" I say

"Lance you don't have to brand her she is the black widow. technically you can't brand her cause she is a assassin and can be hired from anyone anywhere" Jack says

"s**t I forgot about that." I say

"You can still get her your pendant though." He tells me

"Alright. Well boys i'm off to bed. I need some sleep" I say standing

They nod and I go to crawl in bed with Sophia. By time I woke up the next day I was alone in bed. I got up and walked down stairs to see everyone running around. 

"I don't care what it cost I want it done today" I hear yelling from my office

I walk in my office to see Sophia behind my desk with a bunch of paper work in front of her and her shouting at someone on the phone. I walk over and lift the papers up and she snatches them back from me. 

"Get it done" She growls and hangs up

"What's all this?" I ask

"Assassin business." She grumbles

"Then why are all the guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off?" I ask

"They are doing something for me" She grumbles again

"Sophia what is going on?" I ask

"My business. Remember when you didn't want me knowing to much about your mafia well I don't have to share anything with you. I took the oath. I poured my blood and sweat into becoming the best I don't have to tell you s**t" She says standing up

She gathers all her papers and walks out grumbling. I groan and follow her out and she throws keys at jack and he follows her to her car. She gets in and they drive away.

SOPHIA'S POV

I sighed when Jack drove towards my dad's. Jack parked when we arrived and came around to help me out. I walked inside with him following me and it was quiet. I walked to dad's office to see him working on some things. 

"Hi daddy" I say

"Hey princess. How are you doing?" I ask

"I'm ok. Tired but we are good. I just need to get a few things out of the safe and add some papers of mine" I say

He nods and I walk over pushing in a few numbers and adding my hand print and it opened. I added the papers and took out a folder. I kissed his cheek and walked out. Jack followed me to my room and when I entered I sighed. 

"So this is where you grew up?" Jack asks

"yes and no. I went to private schools so I was only home on breaks and then I went to college and lived in a sorority with my sisters. Hell I didn't even decorate this room." I say

"Why not take a spare room at the mansion and decorate it for you for alone time" Jack suggests

"That's a great idea. maybe I can get back to my drawing and painting as well" I say 

"You draw?" He asks

"yeah just a hobby" I say

"Could you show me?" He asks

I nod and smile and walk over opening a draw and pulling out everything i need. I grab his hand and drag him out to my favorite spot. I take a seat and he sits down and chats with me while I draw. About two hours later I was done and showed him the outcome. 

"This is amazing Sophia. You are truly talented" He tells me

"Thank you. You can have it if you want. I usually draw what I see and give it away." I tell him

He smiles and stands and helps me up. We walk back to the mansion to see all the guys there talking to dad. 

"What are you all doing here?" I ask

"You never came back so we came looking for you. Your dad say you two went out the back but we couldn't find you" Lance says

"That's cause I was at my special place no one has been to or ever seen" I say

I glance at Jack and his eyes widen. 

"What were you doing?" Lance asks

"That's between Jack and I." I say

"Alright. So honeybee how about lunch?" Greg asks

"Yes. I was thinking Olive Garden" I tell him

He nods and everyone leaves and we head to Olive garden. We were all eating when I got a sharp pain in my belly. I gasp loudly and grip my tummy. 

"Sophia what's wrong?" Lance asks

"I don't know. It hurts" I whimper

"Alright we are going to the hospital" he say lifting me up

He drives me to the hospital and they take me right back. they got me in a room and ran some tests and they finally let Lance in. We sat there in silence for a long time and the doc enters finally. 

"I'm Doctor Thatcher. Now Sophia you were having early contractions. We gave you meds to stop it but from now on I want you on bed rest. No lifting anything over five pounds. No  walking up and down stairs. And drink plenty. I'm prescribing you a higher dosage of prenatal vitamins and get some rest" She tells me

"Can she go home now?" Lance asks eyeing me

"Yes she can. Sign her out and get her script and she can leave" She says and leaves

he walks out and comes back lifting me up and carrying me to the car. When we get to the house everyone was in the living room. 

"She is fine. She is on strict bed rest. Now walking up and down stairs, no lifting anything over 5 pounds and making sure she takes her vitamins.  Now you are going in bed" he says

"Wait can you take me to see Grey first?" I ask 

He nods and takes me outside and stands in front of Grey's stall. I smile and pet his nose and he licks my hand and I giggle. 

"Does bed rest mean laying down or can I sit up as long as i'm not moving?" I ask

"You can sit up as long as your not moving" He says

"Can you bring out a comfy chair so I can spend some time with Grey?" I ask pleading with my eyes

"Of course love. But first bed today until I can get it done tomorrow" He tells me

I nod and lean over and kiss Grey's nose and Lance carries me back inside. He takes me to bed and lays me down and walks out. Jack taps on the door and I motion for him to come in. 

"How you feeling?" He asks stiffly

I wave him over to sit by me and I lift my shirt and place his hand on my belly. 

"We are fine" I tell him

He smiles stiffly. i sigh and look at him

"Hey honey we are fine. What do you say you come lay down with us and watch a movie?" I ask

He nods and kicks off his shoes and slides in bed with me and I slip on the tv and turn on The Longest Yard. He rubs my belly and Lance walks back in and Jack stiffens. I pat his hand and Lance walks over to me. 

"The boys got your food to go. I figured you would be hungry. I need to go take care of some things so just call if you need me." He say"

"Jack is here and we are going to watch this movie and I may nap but thank you" I say.

"Your welcome baby" He says

he leans down and kisses me and nods at Jack and walks out. I ate my food and watched the movie with Jack and before I knew it I was out like a light. When I woke up the next morning I was in bed alone but I smelled food cooking. I got up and walked to the top of the stairs and sighed. 

"Somebody" I yell

One of the boys walks up the stairs and looks at me. I raise my arms and he lifts me up and carries me down stairs. He places me down in the hall and I walk in the kitchen.

"Morning" I say smiling

"How did you get down here?" Lance snaps

"One of the boys carried me down" I say

"Boys" He shouts

they walk in and stare at him waiting.

"Which one of you carried her down stairs?" Lance asks

I waited for the guy to speak up and he didn't and I glared. 

"Boss we don't know how she got down stairs" The guy that carried me said

My jaw dropped and I looked at Lance. 

"You know your not suppose to be walking up and down stairs." Lance shouts

"But one of them carried me" I say

"Stop lying. Your endangering my child" he roars

I step back and look at the guy and then at Jack.

"Jack can you drive me to my dad's?" I ask

"Of course" He says grabbing my keys

I turn my back to Lance and walk out the door sniffling. I get in the car and Jack drives me to my dad's.

"It was Corey who lied isn't it" Jack asks

I nod and sniffle and look out the window. When we get to dad's, Jack carries me inside and lays me on the couch. I sigh and he leans down and kisses my forehead and sits in front of the couch and holds my hand. I sniffle and I hear Jack release a growl and tense. 

"Go to my room and go in the closet. Push the back rack to the side and press on the panel. Punch in 0518 and bring my throwing knives and gun." I say

he gets up and walks away and comes back five minutes later and hands me everything. Lance and the boys walk in and I release a growl. 

"Jack help me up" I tell him

He does as told and i stand and look at everyone. 

"I want everyone to line up outside" I say walking past them

the all line up and I sigh and pace with Jack pacing with me holding onto my arm. 

"I'm going to ask a few questions. If your lying then you get my punishment" I say

"Okay" they all say

"How many of you have carried me?" I ask

Ten of the guys raise their hands.

"How many have fed me?" I ask

A few more raise their hands. 

"What is the point of this?" Corey asks

"Zip it til i'm done" I snap

"Alright" he says

"How many of you have just sat down and had a conversation with me?" I ask

A few more raise their hands.

"I want all the ones that have raised their hands to step behind me" I say

"Sophia what's going on?" Greg asks

"You are about to see. Now Dustin I know your the quiet one apart from Jack but what's my favorite color?" I ask

"Neon Pink" He says

"behind me. Frank, what's my favorite junk food?" I ask

"Dill pickle chips but you like the golden flake not the lays" He says

"Behind me. Now Corey why did you lie to Lance about carrying me down stairs?" I ask

His eyes grow huge and I bring out my gun and aim it at him. He gulps and I shoot him in the leg. He screams out and I shoot him in the other leg and collapses to the ground. I walk over to him and grin.

"Get him to the doc and Corey the next time you betray me i'll put one in your head." i say smiling

He hisses and nods. I pull out one of my throwing knives and spin and sink it in Lance's arm. he growls and I smirk.

"Next time you believe these fuckers over me you will never see us again" I smirk at Lance

"sophia" I hear a female voice behind me

I spin around and gasp.

"Annabelle? what the hell are you doing here?" I hiss at her

"I'm free" She says smiling

"Seriously?" I ask surprised

"yeah they caught him" She says smiling with tears in her eyes

I grin and walk over to her and hug her tight. I let the tears fall and I sniffle. I pull back and laugh with her. 

"I'm so happy for you" I tell her

"Thank you. You are actually my first stop. I owed it to you" She says

"Annabelle you never will owe me. I did it cause I care about you. You and Casey are like my sisters and I would always stick my neck out for you and her" I tell her

"Is she here?" annabelle asks

"No but I can call her. Come inside." I tell her

She nods and i link my arm with hers and we walk inside. 

"Daddy" I call

He comes walking out and I step aside. 

"Annabelle?" He says

"Hi Sir" She says

He grins and opens his arms and she hugs him tight. 

"Oh baby how are you here?" He asks

"They caught him. I can return to my life" She says

He kisses her forehead and steps back grinning. 

"Well i'm happy for you sweetie." Dad tells her

"Thank you. Now when will this little one be here?" She asks

"A few more months. I'm on strict bed rest right now. Well I can walk around but I have to be careful." I tell her

"I'm happy for you" Annabelle says

"Annabelle?" Greg says stopping in his tracks

"Hi Greg" She says

"Hi. That is all you have to say after three f*****g years" He shouts

She jumps and looks at me. 

"You have to do this. I can't help you" I tell her

she nods and walks over to him and takes his hand and leads him to the living room. 

"Sit down" She tells him

"No way" He snarls

"Sit your ass down" She snaps

He sighs and sits down and she starts pacing. She stops in of him and turns her back to him. She lifts her shirt up and he growls deep in his chest. He stands up and yanks her shirt down and turns her around and throws her over his shoulder and walks out without a word. I turn to face everyone and I shrug and walk to the kitchen. 

"Kitten" Tom says running in

"What?" I ask turning around

"Marcy is in the hospital" He says carefully

My head spins and my legs give out. Jack dives and catches me before I hit the ground. He holds me up and I clutch to him. 

"Come on i'll drive you" He says

I don't say anything so he lifts me off my feet and he and Lance walk to the car. Jack places me in the front and buckles me in and jogs around and slides in and drives to the hospital with Lance and Tom following us. When we arrive he comes around and helps me out and walks me inside.

"i need Marcy Wooten please" I say to the nurse

"She is in surgery right now Soph. I'll get another bed put in her room and let you lay down while you wait." Dr. Abbet says

"Jessi let me see her" I say 

"Soph you know you can't go in there" She tells me

"Just a peek I promise I won't go in" I whisper

"Fine just a peek but you go down in a wheel chair" She says

I nod and the nurse brings one up and I slowly sit in it. Dr. Abbet pushes me down to the room and pushes the door open. I bring my eyes up and I see blood and lose it. I start sobbing and Jessi closes the door and takes me to a room. 

"Sweetie I need you to calm down or I will sedate you. You can't stress right now honey. Calm down for me" She says

"Tell me is she going to be okay?" I ask still crying

"Soph I can't tell you that" She says

"God damnit it Jessi as my friend is she going to be okay?" I shout

She jumps and looks at me with sad eyes. 

"I don't know sweetie. All I know is that it's open heart surgery cause of a heart attack." She says

Lance walks in and kneels in front of me and I throw myself in his arms and sob. 

"It's going to be okay baby. But let's get you into bed. Jack is gonna run and get you comfy clothes and shower things and your phone and laptop. Jessi I want the best room and round the clock nurses on call." Lance says

"I already had the best cleared and another bed for her moved in. Let's get her there and in bed so I can check on the little one. I think a IV will be good for her to make sure she stays hydrated." Jessi says

Lance nods and lifts up my limp body and carries me to Marcy's room. Tom and the boys were in there waiting and Lance laid me down. 

"Oscar" I whisper

"You want oscar baby?" Hunter asks

I nod slowly and his eyes widen.

"alright I can go get him. Anything else you want?" He asks

"My fuzzy purple blanket. My froggy slippers. Socky monkey in the bottom drawer" I say

"alright i'll be back" He says and walks out

Twenty minutes later Hunter walks in with Jack. He places everything down and lance lifts me up and carries me to the bathroom. He strips me down and starts the shower. He gets me in and washes me quickly and turns the water off. He dries me off and gets me dressed in my sock monkey onesie for adults. He carried me back to bed and laid me down. He covered me with my blanket and Hunter walked over with Oscar. He handed me the big stuffed green frog and I snuggled into it and sighed. I buried my face in Oscar and took in a deep breathe. It smelled like Lance and I smiled slightly. Jessi walked in and over to me. 

"I need you to unzip so I can check on the baby" She says

I nod and unzip and reveal my sports bra and round tummy. She gels up the sonogram machine and runs it over my belly. We hear a heartbeat and see her sleeping. 

"Alright she is fine. Now someone needs to get you food. You need to eat and rest. It will be a while" She says

Lance wipes off my tummy and zips me back up. Jessi squeezes my hand and I sigh and close my eyes.

"Hey love what would you like to eat?" Jack asks

"Can you call Case? and chicken fajitas" I mumble 

He nods and calls Casey and walks out. Ten minutes later Casey runs in and over to me. I scoot over and she slides in bed with me. She wraps her arms around me and I sigh. 

"Thank you for coming" I whisper

"Of course I would." She says

"I'm sorry i've been so busy lately" I say

"Shh and just rest" She says playing with me hair

I nod and close my eyes. 

Lance's POV

I watched Casey put her to sleep and Jack walked in with food. I told him to put it away and we could reheat it for her when she woke up and he nodded. Soon enough Jessi walked in and I knew it wasn't good news. 

"What is it?" Tom asks

"She made it through surgery. But in the process she slipped into a coma. Now we don't know when she will come out but her health is in tip top shape. It shouldn't take her long to come out of the coma. Now we have her hooked up to all kinds of machines to monitor her. She is even breathing on her on so that is a great sign. They are about to bring her in so just stay quiet and let her rest." Jessi says

We all nod and I hug her. She walks out and five minutes later the wheel Marcy in. After getting her fixed up Tom pulled up a chair and took a seat by his wife. I walked out and called Jax to see if he knew a nurse that would be willing to be a in home nurse at the mansion so Soph could be near Marcy. He said he knew of someone and he would give her a call and I would have to meet with her which was fine with me. I hung up with him and when I walked back in Tom was explaining things to my crying girlfriend. He held her tight and let her cry it out. 

"I can't lose her" Soph cried

"Kitten she isn't going anywhere. Jessi said she would be back to us in no time" Tom tells her

She sniffles and nods and he rocks her back and forth. Casey grabbed her blanket and wrapped it around her and Soph closed her eyes. She finally calmed down and laid back down and snuggled with Oscar. 

"I see you pulled Oscar out from hiding" Tom says

"Oscar fixes everything" She says with a smile

"You gonna give Oscar to the baby?" Casey asks

"No OScar is mine" She snaps angrily

"Casey that was stupid to ask. Marcy bought Oscar for Sophia. She won't ever let go of him even to her own child" Tom says

"I'm sorry sweetie. I didn't know" She says

Sophia glares and holds Oscar close.

"Soph no one is going to take Oscar from you. You are going to smother him love" Hunter says

"Much like you did" She says playfully

"I didn't know he was under there. I said I was sorry to him" Hunter whines

"I know" She giggles

Hunter shakes his head at her and kisses the top of her head. 

"Come on love try to eat and then get some sleep. I'm bring in air mattresses for everyone now" Jack says

She nods and starts eating and when she's done she lays back and i crawl in beside her. She snuggles into me with Oscar and closes her eyes. Jack gets everyone settled down and takes a seat by the door watching out. He nods at me and I nod back. I close my eyes and drift of with my love. 

THE NEXT MORNING

When I woke up the next morning Sophia wasn't beside me. I sat up and ran my hand down my face and sighed. I heard the door open and Sophia and Jack walk in carrying a bunch of bags. 

"Everyone up" She says

Everyone groans but sits up and looks at her. she starts pulling out food and feeding everyone breakfast. They thank her and she she hands them all bags. 

"The room next to us is empty and I got the OK from Jessi to use it. Now everyone go shower and some can use this one. Change and come back" She says

She smiles and walks over to me and hands me some clothes and I smile at her. She leans over and kisses me and points to the shower.

"Yes ma'am" I say smirking

she rolls her eyes and rubs her tummy. I lean down and kiss her belly and give a good morning to our daughter and Sophia smiles. 

"Don't give mommy to much trouble while I'm gone" I say and walk into the bathroom

Sophia's POV

Lance went to shower and I looked at Jack. 

"You mister in this bed and take a nap" I tell him

He sighs but nods and walks over kicking off his shoes and sliding in. I pulled the blanket over him. I lean down and kiss his forehead and whisper a goodnight. He closes his eyes and sighs. I take a seat and just wait on everyone to come back. Soon Lance walked out in just his jeans and I had to stifle a moan. I stood up and walked over to him taking the towel and drying his hair. 

"turn around cause I know you didn't dry your back" I tell him

He smirks but turns around and I dry it for him. Once he was done he slid his shirt on and turned around and kissed my forehead. 

"I love you" he says

"I love you" I say back

I hear a groan and spin around to see Marcy waking up. I rush over to her and grip her hand.

"Mar" I whisper

"Hey kitten" She whispers

"Your Ok" I say smiling and crying

"I'm Okay Kitten. Tom?" She asks

"I sent him for a shower next door. He will be back soon" I explain

"I seen Oscar made a appearance" She says 

"Oscar fixes everything" I tell her

"He does indeed" She says with a weak smile

"Well Marcy it's good to see you awake. Now your surgery went great. Your health is top notch so by tomorrow you can go home but your on strict bed rest." Jessi says

"I already arranged for you and Tom to stay with us. I'm going now to talke to the in home nurse for when you get there. Your things have been moved in and are ready for you" Lance says

I spin around and look at him and he winks at me.

"Have I told you how much I love you lately?" I ask 

"No but you can remind me later" he says

I smile and walk over hugging him. Tom walks in and rushes to Marcy.

"I'm so glad your okay" he says

"I'm fine honey. Can I eat?" She asks

"I'll go talk to Jessi." I tell her

She gives me a smile and I walk out and go to find Jessi. I find her at the nurses station and I wait on her to finish talking.

"What is it?" She asks

"Can Mar eat?" I ask

"Yes. But only chicken broth for now. She can drink water she likes but stay away from dark liquids for now" She says

"Alright. Hey J" I say

"Yeah?" She says

"You still single?" I ask

"Yeah" She says

I smirk and walk away and back into the room.

"Lance can you run and get chicken broth?" I ask

He nods and kisses my forehead and leaves. I walk over and sit by a sleeping Jack and sigh. We talk for twenty minutes and Lance walks in with food for Marcy. Lance comes over and starts packing my things. I start looking at him about to open my mouth and he sends me a glare.

"Don't start. Your going home and getting a good nights rest. Marcy will be there in the morning" He tells me sternly

i sigh and nod and I wake Jack. He gets up and slips on his shoes and helps carry my things to the car. I walk over and hug Marcy and head to the car. I get in and Lance drives us to the house. when we arrive I get out of the car and head to the barn. I walk in and grab a lead and go open opening up Grey's stall and clipping the lead to him. I walk him out and to the pin and let him run in. I step in and close the pin and I walk over and take a seat on the ground. Grey circles me and lays down behind me and I lean back into him. 

"I love you buddy" I whisper

he snorts and I smile. I close my eyes and I feel myself fall into darkness. When I wake up again I was in bed and in my jammies. I stand up and head for the door and I open it and I head to Jack's room. I knock softly and the door opens to reveal a shirtless Jack.

"Can you take me downstairs?" I ask

He nods and sweeps me off my feet and carries me downstairs. He sits me on my feet when we reach the living room and I thank him and walk over and sit down by the window just looking out. i lean my head against the cool glass and enjoy the coolness of it. I enjoy the quietness before I walk over and lay down on the couch and feel myself fall asleep again.
