Amaryllis was busy scanning the environment and checking out shops. She saw a bus completely occupied which was going towards the main city. This place was completely cut off from the main city. It was like a small country in itself occupied by nearly thirty thousand people in which students of the college formed the majority. The hustle bustle of this place was not like that of the city but it was unique.
Amaryllis saw the entry of the main auditorium and saw girls rushing from the right side and boys rushing from the left side. At the back of the auditorium was a senior boys hostel.
[A Striking Difference]
The girls hostel was a huge area. It was like a completely closed area with buildings to accommodate all the female students of all years and departments. The name of the girls hostel was Living Star Campus. But it was completely opposite to that of the boys.
Boys had different hostels for different years. They had two buildings for each year and all the hostels were separated from each year. The chances of bullying and ragging are more prone in boys than what is the reason for this division. (It is believed to be, Amaryllis when heard it had a lot of trouble digesting this.)
{oops I got diverted from the topic}
The caretakers stopped near the entrance of the main auditorium. Amaryllis could see the name of the auditorium. Amaryllis and Cheryl exchanged glances and said it was so huge. The caretakers then asked them to follow them inside and to maintain discipline. The crowd of first year girls entered the auditorium.
Amaryllis and her roommates sat on the fourth row. The front rows were occupied by some other students. The stage was filled with musical instruments and chairs tables to welcome the dignitaries.
The students were busy arranging the things, ensuring all the instruments were connected, checking for their sound, mike checking and even the MC’s were busy sorting out the things. Amaryllis could see that still the students were rushing towards the assembly hall.
