Amaryllis was waiting outside with her cup when Cheryl came. They both proceeded to the mess area. After getting their evening snack, they filled their cups; Amaryllis took milk and Cheryl took coffee. They came out and sat on the bench. Cheryl suddenly said there are a lot of people visiting our room. Amaryllis nodded and said it looks so crowded.  Amaryllis was least bothered about who comes and goes as she had already maintained her distance. After a small talk they washed their cups and headed to their room. Amaryllis kept her cup inside the shelf and went out of the room for a stroll alone. She called her parents in the meantime. She walked around and found more to fall in the place more. It was an exceptionally beautiful place. Amaryllis had spent her life in the city; and this was countryside, surrounded by hills on all three sides. It was a completely different experience all together. The air was fresh and cool unlike the city. The place was quiet and while rejuvenating. She found a comfortable place to sit and sat down. The time passed and the sun was setting, the view was stunning, never in her life had Amaryllis seen such a beautiful sunset. This place is surely blessed.                                                                                              It was time for dinner by the time she returned. She took her plate and all her roommates accompanied her to the mess area for dinner. After dinner they had few people by the door chatting with Penelope and Maria. The study hour was announced and all the caretakers all of them went back to their respective rooms. All of them switched off their phones according to the rules. Cheryl and Amaryllis sat on chairs while Maria and Penelope sat on Penelope’s bed. Penelope asked Amaryllis whether she disliked people sitting on her bed. Amaryllis replied that she was okay with it but there should be a certain limit and posture to sit on somebody else’s bed. In the meantime Cheryl was stealing glances. Amaryllis felt it and sighed because of this little rabbit. After that she got up and sat on her bed and asked Cheryl to sit along. Cheryl was very conscious and sitting on Amaryllis bed upright, seeing this Amaryllis said she would never mind if Cheryl sat on her bed. Amaryllis felt Cheryl was somewhat cute but she kept her thoughts to herself. She looked at Cheryl again and her lips curved upwards. It was a slight movement nobody noticed. Amaryllis had a special place for Cheryl even though she didn’t know the reason why. But she had it for Cheryl. They all were discussing about next day’s schedule as it will be officially their first day in the college. They were deciding upon what they should wear and what will happen tomorrow.  The SRA came for the checks and they all stood up and greeted her. They asked her about the next day’s schedule to which the SRA told them it would be their welcoming ceremony. After clarifying their doubts they wished her good night.
