It was the strangest thing. Emi was in her room. Dressed in her pyjamas. The toothbrush in her mouth. The foam slipping out from the sides of her mouth, staining her chin. A glazed look in her eyes. She just stood staring into the mirror. Searching for answers, an explanation, where none could be found. In the end, she finished brushing her teeth. Washed her mouth. And her chin. And her face.
