Wow
That was all I could say when I saw the huge ass house and most importantly, the state it was in.
Cars and bikes were literally parked everywhere on the front yard, trash everywhere and I’m pretty sure you could hear the music throughout the whole street.
“I can’t believe his parents are okay with this”, I stated, my mouth hanging wide open.
“I know right, wait until you see the inside of the house. I honestly have no clue how Alex manages to fix his house afterwards”, Sophia chuckled before turning to me, one of her brows raised.
“Shall we?” she asked and I nodded, letting her drag me inside.
Well, Sophia was right. It was exactly like those college party’s you see in movies; drinks everywhere, talking, dancing, people making out…. This is just absolutely nuts.
We made our way to what I assumed was the living room and I noticed how someone waved at us before approaching.
“Hey Sophia, you made it”, the guy said and he pulled her in for a hug. Judging from the pictures I saw earlier, I’m pretty sure this is the ‘rich kid’ Alexander.
“Of course, wouldn’t miss it”, she replied, a smile playing on her lips as she put a strand of hair behind her ear. He returned her smile before his eyes came over to me.
“Hey, Alexander Smith”, he said and I took a small step back as I felt his eyes everywhere on me, except for my eyes. Feeling uncomfortable, I quickly cleared my throat to get his attention back.
“Ella Clark”, I said shortly.
“Well it’s nice to meet you, Ella” smiling, he put his hand out and I reluctantly took it.
“You ladies look incredibly good tonight”, he commented, smirking at both of us and I was suddenly glad we had wine before. I shortly glanced over at Sophia and frowned as her eyes were scanning the crowd. A few seconds later, a smirk appeared on her lips as she quickly turned back to the guy in front of us.
“Well thanks Alex, you’re not looking too bad yourself”, Sophia took a step closer to him.
“But I have to say, I would like you more with less on”, Alexander whispered, stepping closer to her as well as his eyes wondered down to her chest in a not so subtle way. Alright, so this is happening way earlier than expected.
Oh well, drunk me is up for an adventure. I carefully stepped away from the scene and looked around to try and find the kitchen for yet another drink. Not a good idea, I know but what can I do.
After a good five minutes of wondering around, I stumbled into the kitchen and smiled as I found the counters stacked with bottles. Bingo
I quickly grabbed a random plastic cup from the side and started pouring. Vodka and sprite can’t be bad, right?
“Hey, neighbor” I suddenly heard in my ear and I almost dropped the bottle in my hand, my sudden rapid heartbeat drumming loudly in my ears.
Quickly looking next to me, I noticed a guy smiling at me and it took me only a few seconds to recognize who he was. It was the guy I had seen earlier with his mother on the neighbors driveway.
“Why would you do that, you almost gave me a heart attack”, I told him, my heart placed on my heart as I tried to catch my breath.
“Relax drama queen, I just wanted to greet my new neighbor and I thought you would like a new friend”, he spoke with a chuckle, holding his hands up in surrender. Taking a deep breath, I turned my body and gave him a smile of my own “Thanks, I’d like that”
“Well of course you would. I’m hella cute, remember?”
Damnit.
So he did hear me earlier.
“Don’t be embarrassed now girl”, he comforted, noticing my completely red face “Besides, I think you’re pretty cute too”, he added, ruffling my hair and I softly shoved him away.
“f**k you”, I fake glared at him and he opened his mouth, putting on a hurt expression “Ouch, you’re hurting my feelings”
“Now you’re being a drama queen”, I said, giving his hair a ruffle in return. I withdrew my hand and had to stop myself from laughing as a few of his locks now weirdly stood up.
“Okay then meany, do you fancy going dancing with the drama queen?” he asked with a hand held out and I gladly took it, following him back to the living room where most people were. He pushed us through the crowd and soon enough, both of us were dancing, feeling completely carefree for the first time in a long while.
Unknown p.o.v.
She looks absolutely mesmerizing tonight, but I’m obviously not the only one who noticed. I don’t know why it’s making me feel all jealous and possessive. I’ve gone out with a few girls before but none of them had made me act this way. Following her around, looking for information about her, wanting to know who she’s with or what she’s thinking. I’m acting like a complete stalker and I hate it. I can see that there is so much more to her than meets they eye and I can’t help but want to discover each layer there is about her. She’s just so intriguing to me, I can’t even explain it.
You know what, maybe this could actually be fun. Let’s play a little game, miss Clark.
Ella’s p.o.v.
I’ve been dancing and talking with Ethan for two hours now and I’m having the time of my life. This guy is literally my soulmate and I love Michelle for forcing me to come. After a while, my lungs slowly started to feel like mush and my body was already exhausted as the alcohol had started leaving my system.
Sweat covered my forehead and just as I felt myself longing for some fresh water, I felt my phone buzz.
-You look drop-dead gorgeous tonight, Clark. You’re kinda making it hard to focus on the party…- unknown
I scrunched my eyebrows and looked around to see if anyone was looking at me but most people were just dancing or talking to their friends. The phone in my hand buzzed again and I looked don to read the text.
-You're not gonna find me that easy, princess. Why don’t we play a little game?- unknown
This is creepy. How did they even get my number?
“Hey Ethan, I’m going outside for a minute, okay?”, I turned back to my friend, the air around me suddenly feeling too hot.
“Sure, find me later yeah?”, he responded and I waved at him as he disappears away in the crowd.
Uneasy, I made my way to the front yard and typed a reply to the unknown person.
-Who’s this?-
I quickly sat down on the lawn just as another text came through.
-Well what’s the fun in telling you already… - unknown
This is not funny, why do they have to pull s**t like this on me?
-What do you want dude?-
-You got me interested and most people here are pretty boring and predictable, princess. But don't be scared now, I’m not a forty year old dude catfishing you or something - unknown
Yeah, I’m officially done responding. Putting the phone back in my pocket, I just took a deep breath and enjoyed the cold breeze for a few minutes. I looked up at the sky and found the stared shining brighter than ever, not a single cloud in their way. It’s really beautiful tonight.
Or so I thought until I felt my phone go off again. Rolling my eyes, I opened it.
-I see you’re not really in the mood for games tonight, I’ll just annoy you another time alright? I did mean what I said, you look amazing tonight - unknown
