Fighting For My Mate

In a land far away, there once was a girl who was a wolf, with long black hair, bright green eyes, and very beautiful. Just kidding, this is no fairy tale. My name is Rose. I'm Alpha's daughter, or so I was. My mom and dad passed away a long time ago in a very bad attack from rogue wolves. My dad's best friend, who was the beta at the time, became the Alpha upon his death adopted me. A few years ago, he finally found his mate, and just three years ago, they had my baby brother. I am now 17, getting ready to turn 18 in a few days. This is Unfortunately an Unwanted fairy tale that I don't want. I wanted to find my mate like everyone else, but I don't get that choice. I am the daughter of an alpha. I am a person who can stand with pride to represent my pack. You might be asking what Pack I am a part of, and it might be a silly name to you, but I am proud to be a part of the Running River-Water pack. We are here, and very few outsiders know we exist. The only people allowed to live on the property are our pups, all of us pack members and their mates even if they are human. Those are our exceptional rules. We also have other rules to guide us along the way, but this one is not one of them. If you can't tell I am not happy, I just left my father's office after being told I am marring an Alpha frome another pack. I absolutely hate this. I have to marry some guy I didn't even know from some far away pack. I just know this is not going to end very well. It's part of a peace treaty, though, and the loop hole is if we find our mates before the sun sets on my 18th birthday, then we still remain within the contract. Unfortunately, it's to a guy I know and hate. His name is Dalton. He is the Alpha of the Archwood pack. He is an egotistical d**k and, in my opinion, needs to back down a lot. He is very strong for a soon to be Alpha. His dad is strong, but they are an equal match. I don't know how to feel, though, having to be married into this pack. Hopefully, one day, I'll get my shot, and I can make my mark. I want to do something great in my life, even if it does start in just my pack. I want to make a worldwide difference even if it just starts with my pack. Rose POV So here I am, now it's my 18th birthday. We are to be married at sunset. Today has not gone how I planned it, though. For some unknown reason, the Lycan king is coming to bear witness the ceremony, and I hope he stops it once he sees how wrong this wedding truly is. We are very different in many ways, but we do have one similar thing. We like kids and want to be parents someday. However, I didn't want him to be the father of my children. Unfortunately, that's not up to me. it's up to the moon goddess. As the sun started to set low, I began making my way out of my room with my adopted father leading the way. Soon, we heard the music, and I began walking down the aisle. My dad told me, " I may not be your birth father, but I am so proud of you. I know today is hard, but your mom and dad would be proud to see how you have turned out and that you're doing this to help your people. Please stay strong and forgive me in your own time. We love you dearly." Before we knew it, we had made it to the Alter, and the pastor was giving a loud ahhhhhmmmmmm.. My father handed me over to Dalton and took his seat in the crowd. I looked out at the crowd and saw no one out of the ordinary. We got word that the Lycan king was going to be here, but he had impending matters that prevented him from coming only a few minutes before the wedding started. I was looking forward to him stopping this sham, but now I have to marry him. Dalton and I stood their holding our hands, repeating our vows, as we put the rings on each other's fingers. We gave a small kiss, and I could tell he was not happy with this marriage already. We walked away and got our photos done with our grooms, men, and other members of the bridal party. Before we knew it was time for the reception. Everything passed so quickly because before I knew it, the reception was over. It was time for us to consummate the marriage. We made it to our supposed to be room. To my surprise, as soon as the door shut, he had ripped my wedding dress off. With in a blink of an eye, I was tossed on the bed as if I weighed nothing. Everything went so fast, and before I knew it, he was already buried deep within me, releasing his hot seed within me. He left me laying their lying on the floor beaten up, bruised, and bleeding. All I could do was cry. I was in so much pain, and my wolf was unable to heal me properly. One of the omegas came knocking on the door, and when I didn't answer, they came in. " Oh my lady, are you ok?" asked a very unfamiliar voice. Everything was beginning to fade into total darkness. As I felt a blanket covering me up and heard the same unfamiliar voice, yell, " Someone call the pack doctor now!" Then everything was total darkness. I finally accepted and welcomed the darkness, but for some reason, it was not totally dark. I saw a bright bluish white light, and their stood a beautiful woman with a long flowy white dress, beautiful bright blue eyes, and bright red hair. She finally spoke to me after what seemed an eternity. " Do not fear me, my child, I am the moon goddess. You will go through a great deal of pain, but it will only strengthen you and your wolf. Among all this pain and sorrow, you will find your mate. Only he can set you free, but beware, this freedom will come at a price. The price will be your husband's life, taken by your mate. Stay strong, my child, and know it's time to wake up." My eyes shot open as I was flooded with bright lights and the sounds of machines beeping all around me. I covered my face with my arm, and thankfully, someone dimmed the lights. After several minutes, the Dr finally came into view and saw I was fully awake and began examining my wounds. The Dr seemed happy I was awake, and He sat down after the examination in a chair next to me and asked how I felt. I am thirsty, I said, but I almost didn't recognize my own voice as it sounded very raspy. He took a cup of water with a straw and gave me a drink. While he sat asking me questions, he examined my IV and helped order some food. I finally had the nerve to ask, "How long have I been in here?" He had a look of shock on his face and sat back down and looked at me. He gently took my hand and told me "Rose this may be difficult to believe, but you have been in here for about three almost four weeks. I know it probably doesn't feel like it, but you lost a lot of blood. If Lilly had not found you when she did, you could have died." he said. I must have looked like I didn't believe him because the doctor started to console me. He was genuinely worried about me, and at this point, I knew I could trust him. As soon as my food got their he smiled and promised to come back and check on me in about two hours. It felt good making some friends in the pack I never wanted to be a part of. I turned on the t.v. surfing the channels until I finally found my favorite t. v. show friends. I sat up and began eating and sipping on my juice. I finally started to feel a little better. I was still in pain, so i asked a nurse to bring me some medicine. She left my room and, about five minutes later, came back in with more of my favorite juice and some medicine. I couldn't have been more grateful. When my doctor returned to check on me, I all of a sudden threw up. He was in shock when he turned around it was all over the place. It was on the floor, my night gown, my bed, it was awful. Both the nurse and Dr. rushed quickly to help get me showered, and the bed changed. Once I got dressed and was back in bed, the Dr decided to see what was making me sick like that. The only difference is that I had other ideas. I got tired of calling him the Dr, so I looked him boldly in the eyes and asked, "Please tell me your name." I am tired of calling you the Dr. He smiled and replied simply with" My name is Andrew Ameren. I have everyone call me Dr. Andrew, though. I hate using my last name." I responded with a smile, and he left the room to grab some equipment. About half an hour later, Dr. Andrew came back in with an ultrasound machine, which looked like some type of mini monitor. He stayed close to me and put some gel on my belly, and began the ultrasound. He held my hand for support as a tiny baby appeared on the screen. I saw him smile and felt him rub his thumb across my hand. " Look at your baby grow. You're going to be a wonderful mother, Luna Rose. I look forward to seeing your pup when they are born. Your baby is measuring at two months. Just remember, pregnancies are different for our kind vs. humans. The typical pregnancy with us lasts six months." whispered Dr. Andrew. The pregnancy stays between us right, only until I am ready to tell? I asked with hope in my voice. Dr. Andrew nodded his head and left the room. I lay there in silence for maybe twenty minutes before I felt sleep take over. I began walking through the woods until I found a huge pond. I smelled something that smelled great, and I looked around to see someone standing their. I couldn't make out who he was. As I walked closer to him I could see strands of blonde hair, amazingly ocean blue eyes, he was very tall reaching at least almost seven feet tall, and had a silvery blondish wolf standing next to him. Everything started to fade black shortly after that. Before I knew it, I felt a hand on me shaking me to wake up. It was Dr. Andrew. I shot up out of bed, ready to fight, and he just looked at me like what was happening. I calmed down once I realized it was him. "Your heart rate was going all over the place. I couldn't tell if you were dreaming or going to flat line on us. I'm sorry for waking you." Whispered Dr. Andrew. I also wanted to let you know you can be released first thing tomorrow. That brought a smile to my face, and I hugged Dr. Andrews. I was ready to be out of the hospital. The rest of the evening was uneventful, and I ate what the nurses brought me for lunch and dinner. I fell asleep looking forward to being released to back to what was my new home.
