Never Yours
(Amara’s POV)
“All I’ve wanted was you, Amara.” Jay said, breaking the silence. “I love you.”
“Lies, Jay. You are full of lies and deceit. You’re forgetting that I knew the truth. Since I’ve known you, you’ve only ever loved one woman and she’s been at the center of everything. You divorced me for her. There isn’t a world where I would believe your words.”
“You don’t know the whole truth. There are things I couldn’t tell you back then and a few that I should have told you sooner, but I want to tell you now.” He stressed.
“And I don’t want to hear any of it. Your too late Jay. It’s all too far gone, and I need to get away from you and all the pain you bring with you.” I explained calmly, stepping further away from him.
I needed to keep my distance from him.
