Controlled by the Luna

chapter 2

After my shower I rushed down to the dining room to get some lunch. It wasn't very crowded seeing as most have already returned to work. I had just sat down when my father came up to me with non other than Alpha James.

"Alpha James, I would like you to meet my daughter Skye."

"Pleasure to meet you Alpha." I said holding my hand out to shake his.

He takes my hand and brings it to his mouth kissing it softly.

"The pleasure is all mine Skye." He lifts his head staring into my eyes and I held my breath.

I could hear voices around me but I was in a trance. All I could see or think about were his eyes staring into mine. I was beginning to feel light headed when he broke eye contact and turned away to walk off with my father. I released the breath I was holding and my head became clear again.

Food forgotten I rushed upstairs to my room, slammed the door shut and threw myself onto my bed. I was so confused. Why did he make me feel this way?

"He is pretty hot!" Kora my wolf said.

"He is an Alpha and older than we are" I replied

"Doesn't stop him from being hot, and his eyes are to die for."

"We will probably find our mate soon and then he won't cause these feelings anymore"

"What if he is our mate, and that's why we feel like this around him?"

"My birthday isn't until tomorrow so we can't feel the bond yet..."

"Hmmm maybe not but just maybe we can..."

I was done with this conversation. I put up a mind block so she would stop talking and just laid there. I needed to pull myself together. Whatever was happening I hoped that once I found my mate it would stop. I drifted off to sleep while thinking about Alpha James.

I was in a forest next to a large lake. The moon was making the water look like shimmering silver. The wind was strong blowing leaves all around me. There was a rotten smell engulfing my senses. I am looking all around me and I am terrified. I can hardly see into the forest but I know that something is out there.

The stench keeps getting stronger and I'm trying to understand what the smell is. Around 15 wolves come out of the treeline and begin to circle around me. That's when it hit me. Rogues!!! I knew I couldn't take them all down but I could put up a fight. I drop into a defensive stance while they growl and surround me.

All of a sudden I hear a loud growl and realize.... That is an Alpha growl. I whip my head to my right as I see Alpha James run toward the rogues and shift mid jump. The rogues begin to attack him and I start to run towards him with my arm outstretched. "Nooooo!!!" I scream as I run and all the rogues just stop.

Alpha James tears into the neck of the rogues in front of him and the body falls to his feet. All the other rogues look around scared but don't move. Alpha James begins to tear into the next one and still they don't move but they do begin to whimper.

I yell at Alpha James to stop and he also freezes. He looks at me and asks "How??"

"How what"

"I want to kill them all but I can't move...."

"They aren't attacking anymore Alpha just step away from them."

As if he is fighting my instructions he slowly moves away looking at me with a confused expression. I also look at him confused. I step closer to the rogues and say "Leave"

They all begin to walk away glancing back at me in sheer terror. What is going on? Why are they doing everything I tell them to?

"You are the puppet master and all wolf kind is your puppet." a voice says on the breeze.

I jolt awake covered from head to toe in sweat. My whole body is trembling and I have trouble catching my breath. "What the hell was that!!"
