CHAPTER ELEVEN
Mark called Victor from the police parking lot and obtained Soledad’s phone number. After the disturbing discussion with Josh, the man didn’t want to talk to Victor from his office, afraid that someone else might hear what he wanted to ask and would make a mount hill out of nothing.
At least, Victor didn’t torment him with stupid innuendo but gave him the number matter-of-factly.
With a sigh of relief, Mark dialled the young woman’s number to arrange a meeting with her for a working lunch in town shortly afterwards.
The detective made sure that he used the phrase working lunch. He didn’t want to give any wrong ideas to the woman.
