“Why do you look like you’re floating?” Blake asked when I walked into book club.
“Probably because Xavier didn’t come home last night,” Finley provided for the group.
“What?” they all gasped.
“It’s no big deal,” I said, even as my cheeks warmed and my entire body flooded with joy. God, it was so dumb, but I couldn’t stop smiling.
“You two are officially back together?” Melody asked.
I nodded. “We are.”
“Is this like a permanent thing, or is it casual?” Sofia asked.
“Not casual. I can’t say it’s permanent, but I hope it is,” I told them.
“Wow. Good for you.” Piper smiled widely.
“Thank you.”
