Twins of Anger

The sky is so clear like the water flowing from the river. The beauty of the flowers that are blooming starts to be seen while colorful eye-catching butterflies keep flying all around. It's a sunny day and a very nice day to go out and have some fun but as you look around everywhere, you can't see anyone walking or roaming around. The world is too quiet, everyone is locked in their homes and too afraid to get out. All establishments and offices are locked and the world is just like a cursed world where the unknown viruses that you can catch from the air and sick humans you meet can kill you. From the past days where lockdown was not implemented, many people lost their loved ones and hospitals are the only open building but because of lack of medicines and nurses, millions of people die in just a minute. And once you are attacked by that virus, you will find yourself vomiting blood while suffering in pain. No one knows the cause of these and even the most intelligent doctors can't find medicine for this kind of virus. And staying inside their homes can't stop the spreading of viruses even though they wear masks and clean their home often. Praying is the only way to save their lives. Too many humans are too afraid of losing their loved ones in just a minute. Many lose their jobs and some dies from hunger because of a lack of food. A lot of tears is falling from many eyes and they couldn't do anything. Rafa, a thirty-three years old doctor who is pregnant keeps sitting beside his husband Justin with sadness in her eyes. Justin keeps experimenting with a medicine that could cure the virus that kills many lives. They are both doctors in a known hospital but they both take leave for her pregnant wife's delivery. "Hon, what will happen to us if this virus will attack us. How about our child in my womb?" asked Rafa trying to stop herself from crying. Justin stops what he is doing and she hugs her wife. "Hon, stop talking like that. We can find a way. I promise to protect you and our child no matter what. I will gonna make my experiment successful. This medicine will gonna kill that virus. We can survive. Please be strong for me and our child in your womb." Rafa sighed, she can't avoid thinking. What if she will get sick because of that virus? What will happen to the child inside her womb? March fifteen, a day where everyone pleaded for rain. It is a summer day where rain never comes. Plants start to wither, flowers start to die. Lack of water makes people more difficult to control the spreading of viruses. In a small room where Rafa and Justin lives, you can hear a scream. "Hon, I'm already tired." "Hon, you can do that. Do it one more time and our baby will come out," Justin said while he gently pushes the stomach Rafa. Rafa takes a deep breath before trying her best to deliver their baby. And in just a second a baby's cry can be heard. Because of that virus. Hospitals are full of infected people that's why Rafa decided to deliver their child at home. "Hon, it's a girl," Justin said while smiling in tears. "Hon, I think there's another one," Rafa suddenly said. "But in the ultrasound, it's only one, how come it's twins?" asked Justin wondering. Rafa never answers again because of the pain she is feeling. Justin gently puts the baby on the bed then she got near Rafa to check on her. In just a blink of an eye, another baby's cry can be heard. "It's another girl," smiled Justin again while cleaning the newborn baby. Because of tiredness, Rafa feels. She falls asleep easily while a smile can be seen on her face. And after how many hours of sleep. She woke up with a smile. She looks around and found his husband holding the two newborn babies in his arms. "Hon, be careful how can you hold a two baby in your arms," smiled Rafa. "Hon, you're awake already? Don't worry I'm strong enough to hold both of them. Look the baby on my right hand will be Winter and on my left will be summer," smiled Justin. "You're silly? How can you name them with the season but I think it's okay. Give them to me first I will breastfeed them." "Okay, I'll hold first the other one, you breastfeed Winter first," Justin said as he put the baby in Rafa's arms. "Hon, are you happy having a twin baby!" asked Rafa while the baby is in her arms, breastfeeding. "Of course honey! Why? Are you not happy having them?" "I'm happy too but I'm wondering, they're too young what if they'll gonna catch the virus," cried Rafa. "Sssh, don't talk like that. Everything will gonna be alright," But suddenly, Justin shouted in pain while vomiting blood. "Ouch, it hurts!" he shouted. The baby in Justin's hands started to cry. Rafa stood up even though she's weak from delivering their child. She left the baby on the bed and got near Justin. But Justin takes a step back for her wife not to come near him. "No! Don't come near us. You might catch the virus!" "No! What do you mean? No honey, it can't be! How did you catch it!" At that moment's tears in Rafa's eyes keep falling while the twins keeps crying. Justin looks at the baby in his arms as tears start falling from his eyes. "My daughter, I'm sorry! I think I can't watch you grow!" he whispered while in so much pain. Justin looks at her wife to give their baby but was shocked to see Rafa in pain too and is vomiting blood too. He got near her and hugs her tight. "What to do! How can this be?" Rafa asked? The twins keep crying as if they know what is happening. Justin suddenly opens a drawer and gets something. "What is that? asked Rafa trying to endure the pain she felt. "This is the medicine I've made for that virus. This might help our daughter not to catch the virus," "Are you planning to inject that to our daughter?" "Honey, our two daughters might already catch the virus from us, they might be dead too like us. There's nothing wrong if I will inject this into one of them. At least if this experiment succeeds then one of our daughters will be alive." They both cried looking at the twins. "Listen to me honey, before we will close our eyes forever let's endure this pain we felt. I want you to be strong. Cover our daughter with a warm blanket, we need to put them to a place where other people can see them." Rafa can't do anything but to follow his husband's instructions. "Goodbye Winter. Please stay alive!" they both whispered as they left Winter outside a big house that seems like a house of rich people. Justin keeps driving till she can feel so much pain already that he can't endure. "Honey let's leave Summer now on this road,"he said while vomiting a lot of blood. Rafa looks outside, it seems like there are no houses nearby. "But, there are no houses on this road. They might not see Summer." But Justin stops the car. She carries Summer in his arms and injects her with the medicine he experiment. "Summer please be well," he said as he opens the cars door and put her on the road. Rafa can't do anything but cry. She can already feel a lot of pain. Justin droves the car faster till he can no longer endure the pain. And in just a blink of an eye, the car falls into a deep river.
