I WISH IT WAS MINE

David's POV

Though it is hard to tell, but with keen eyes, one could tell that she wasn't really doing well, she looked pale, tired maybe,all the same, she wasn't fine.She was laughing listening to the confrontation between Agatha and Gina, but the laugh wasn't reaching her eyes.What was troubling her,I don't know, but I promised my self to find out before the day ended.

I don't know when I started caring about her this much,but what am sure of is that , since she came into this house,there is warmth in my heart and I feel that I have found the one, has Jake likes to put it.She has a way of spreading joy without doing anything, just existing and smiling.If only she new the effect she has on me.I watched her walk out of the house with Gina, she was in black shorts and a white t-shirt and the only thing stopping me from running and s******g her was the fact that to her I was brother David.

After Agatha left and Jake was off to his Valentine's day date with Gina, I saw her walk back into the house with a box of chocolates in her hands.God, this girl is cute, for how long will I be able to bear all this, I crave to feel her skin, smell her, taste her, kiss her everywhere and love her till the day after forever.........

"First of all open your eyes before you burn my lunch, second why don't you go ahead and tell her what you feel about her, I know it's only being afew weeks since you two became acquitted, but that's the magic of love, it's gradual for some, and for the likes of you, you breath it in and out like air, yeah she is a hard nut to c***k, but you might be the cracker,so try your lack, and lastly, can everyone in this house stop thinking out loud,no one needs or wants to listen to your monologues".

"Am sorry dad,I didn't mean for you to hear that,has a matter of fact, I didn't notice I said it loud, anyways am gonna follow your advice, it's Valentine's day today,it actually can be the day the greatest love story to ever exist started, so, I'll serve lunch and take it to her room, and I'll empty my heart for her"

"That's my son, finally I can I see you are healing from Ell.....did I see someone fall from the sky?"

"s**t dad something did fall from the sky into the swimming pool, did you hear that big splash?".

"Of course I heard it, am right here mister, and it's someone not something, why are we talking instead of going to check, let's go".

How did she fall, did she jump, wait, was she trying to commit suicide or something, no she wouldn't do that, was it because of the nightmares,God, what if she doesn't wake up, no you can't die on me Moira, not you, anyone else but you.

"Dad she is not breathing, what am I going to do, is she dead?".

"Come down Davi she has probably fainted, go get the car we need to take her to the hospital, where the heck is this little brother of yours".

"Here I am dad I head someone scream what happe.... s**t Ira, what happened to her,why is she all wet?".

"Quit the questioning, pick her up we need to take her to the hospital, now..Gina don't you start too, keep quiet and get in the car".

"Doctor, it's being over three hours, and she has not woken up, what's wrong with her?"

"Don't worry professor she will wake up, we are also running some tests on her.

"Doctor can you do me a favor?".

" Professor, this is your hospital, you are the boss around here, so anything you want, just say it and it will be done".

"Okay, so I bet you will be drawing blood from her for the tests, I want you to use that blood to run a DNA test between us two, and it should be a secret between me and you, okay".

"Yes sir, it would be done Sir".

"Thank you very much remember, its a secret between me and you only, alright I'll go back in now".

How did she fall, this question has been criss crossing my head since we got to the hospital, the doctor said that she is fine but she hasn't woken up since, it's been four hours already and my patience is wearing out.

"Davi, would you stop rubbing her hand already,if that keeps up, her skin might has well pill off".

"Jake please stop, not today, at least not now".

"oya am stopping, look she is waking up already".

"Ira, Moira baby, you are wake, thank you heavens, Moira, hay, how are you feeling, does it hurt anywhere sweetie".

Finally, she woke up, all confused and wondering where she was.It was actually funny that she thought she flew from the balcony.Am actually mad at myself for thinking she wanted to commit suicide,while the truth is she was just dizzy maybe because she is afraid of heights.

I was happy she was awake, but then, joy comes in the morning, and it was noon and joy time had already expired.The doctor walked into the room and with him, he brought news, news that broke me inside so much and I didn't know why.

She was pregnant, meaning there was another man in her life, it was only but a conclusion but it hurt ,simply because she wasn't pregnant for me.

She was I denial that she was pregnant to the point where she was having a Panic attack.Who was the father of her baby, was he the one causing her all those nightmares she was having, but why would she get pregnant for a guy like that, a guy that caused her that amount of pain. I needed to get out of the room before I could punch someone.

But then I forgot I had a nosey brother.

"Hay...hay bros,..Davi wait wait, why are you running, wait you are crying, you are actually crying,why if I might ask, Moira is awake already so what's wrong, because those don't look anything near tears of joy to me, tell me big brother what's wrong?".

"She is pregnant Jakey, she is f*****g pregnant, the woman am crazy about is pregnant".

"All the women you've ever been crazy for are all pregnant Davi, Ellen and now Moira, you should be happy that Ira is pregnant for her ex, meaning, they would only be co-parenting,and if I know Ira well,she might never tell the guy about the baby,so relax, you still have a chance with her".

"It's not like that Jake, you don't understand ".

"Then make me Davi, make me understand am all ears".

"I love her man, I want that woman, am hurt that she is pregnant for another man, I wish it was mine, I wish the pregnancy was for me, because I want that woman to be the mother of my kids so bad, that's why it hurts so much".

"Listen big brother, let's assume that Moira doesn't tell the father of her child that she is pregnant,that itself is good news, because if you start loving that child from now, and you also tell her what you feel about her, right now that she is all broken, you might win her heart easily than you expected as far as you are genuine about it. You can start now before she thinks of aborting that baby, because, have you seen the way she is crying and panicking inside".

"Ahhh, you actually think so, I should do that, and it would be like she is pregnant for me right".

"Yes, now stand up from that floor you are sitting on, this is a hospital you could get sick, I never knew you are such a cry baby, you are here looking like she is cheating on you, stand up already".

"Babe, chumchum, water, yeah drink it,it will come you down, stop crying already, I know it's alot to handle, but you are pregnant, sink that in already".

"You remember that imbecile that wanted to date us two at fourteen,if I was pregnant for him,I wouldn't have minded, because he would have never known about the baby,I want to be happy, because well I have always wanted to be a mother, but not like this Gina, am pregnant for a monster, a monster that is my father, my dad Gina, your uncle Michi, what will my kid call me, big sister Ira or is it mom, and him, will he be grandpa or dad,dude, don't you see the amount of f****d up s**t am in, and do you know what's worse, I was r***d, my little blessing inside me is a product of r**e".

"Chumchum, would you want to abort it".

"No, no I would never do that, not even if I was pregnant for the devil himself, not after all those years of Sunday school".

"You know that's actually funny but I can't laugh right now, but I will, tomorrow maybe. babe, a piece of my mind, remember before he became a monster, he was my uncle Michi and the best dad in the world, got us everything we wanted, and always showed us how much he loved us, let's assume you are pregnant for that man, and just like you have said, it's a little blessing inside you, we are going to love that baby with rainbows and butterflies,we will take one day at a time,and hope that by the time the baby starts asking 'where is my dad," he will be in jail and probably dead by then, and besides by then,I promise you I would have already found a man for you and daddy for your kid, Davi for example, he would make a fine dad".

"Davi hah,why did you suddenly think of him?"

"Because he is cute, and he has a thing for you , it is written allover him".

"Yes,and besides your baby, I mean our baby, doesn't need a dad, he or she has us, a very beautiful kind sweet mom and a cool freaky naughty godmother, and that's more than enough".

"Sometimes I wonder what I would do without you Gina, I love you chumchum".

"But I do have a question though, how will we love the baby with butterflies and rainbows?"

"We will cross that bridge when we get there and if it's broken, we will swim across the damn river".

" what makes up your brains if I might ask?".

"Neurones, blood, cells and staff like that,now I need you to drink this bottle of water, all of it because you have cried so much you are probably dehydrated, and also I need you to sleep, you have cried so much now your eyes look like two big onions, and when you wake up, I'll be right here, and also because you freaked out, now you can't go home today, but I promise you that you are only a patient for tonight, tomorrow you will be back to being Moira the doctor, okay, come on I'll tack you in".

"Okay, but I can't promise you that I won't be freaking out again.

"I know I know child, I know, go to sleep now, shush".
