CHAPTER 25

As we make our way down to the Alphas office, I notice everything seems to have been put on a lock down.

“Sebastian why is everyone in like a panic?” I ask which he ignores me and continues walking

so I turn to Curtis “Curtis care to elaborate? Sine your buddy oh pal is ignoring a simple question.” Curtis looks at me and the two Sebastian he swallows but does answer me.

“I think it is best we talk about all of this with Alpha Isaac Carter, as it isn’t my place to say, just know that no matter what we are all taking immense steps to keep both you and Stacey safe.”

I look at him, “Why would you need to keep just Stacey and I safe?” I say confused.

This time he doesn’t make eye contact “Because of what you both are.” I stop in my tracts furious as to how and why he knew about me, I look at Stacey and she looks the same as only the Alpha and Luna knew about it apart from her grandmother and Grace.

“HOW DO YOU KNOW? WHO TOLD YOU?!” I say furious that he knew of my secret.

“Carter, come on let’s go, we need to get to my dad’s now!” Sebastian jumps in and tries to pull me along.

I pull my arm back and stare him dead in the eyes “Did you do this? Did you speak of my secret?” I say demanding an answer. He looks everywhere but me “Carter please not here, this is so important we get you both to dads office now.” I shake his hands off me and push past him Stacey follows me and we make our own way to the office where Luna Lisa and Alpha Isaac are waiting nervously along with the Alphas Beta and Gramma, we take a seat fair from everyone and wait for the rest to walk in with their heads down, Sebastian goes to come near me but I turn away not wanting to look at him, Alpha Isaac noticed.

“Carter, I am greatly sorry about this, I pressured him to tell me why Tomas was to be kept away from the both of you, please don’t blame him.” He says honestly, when I don’t say anything he continues. “Well, as you all know we have had immense trouble with my nephew Tomas since he returned here, a few years ago. It seems he believes Sebastian is not fit to be the next Alpha of the pack and wants to overthrow him, which will not be happening. Carter, I need you to understand that he has been under strict watch by all my men while we were gone and the things we have since found out are not great for anyone in this pack especially you.” I nod. “Because I am now classed as the Moon Goddess’s reincarnation.” “Exactly, before we found out about that, Tomas was in here trying to cause havoc and have you thrown out for disrespect and other things after your interaction with him earlier with Sebastian, once Sebastian and Grace entered to inform me of the incident he requested that if you didn’t go he would and would take down the pack at the same time, Sebastian lost his temper and I had Tomas removed and sent on his way, what we didn’t know was that he had tuned into our next conversation as I questioned Sebastian why it was so important to him that you both be kept away from Tomas at all times, he said it in a whisper not out loud but he must have heard it, that is when he went up to you both. Now that you are both known of, we must act accordingly for the pack and yourselves, which means lock down until Tomas is found, we do have some ideas of his were abouts from the following weeks so we will start there.” He finishes, I no longer feel so angry towards Sebastian knowing the full story, but I am still mad.

“How did he just vanish? I could sense his anger and need through the door like a waterfall, as soon as they came up, he vanished after saying you will never catch him or find him, but he will find me.” I respond curiously.

Everyone looks at me confused, Luna Lisa then clicks on to what I am saying and her face pales. “Isaac where are the main places he was going to? How often?” she asked worried.

“He had taken a lot of trips to this old worn-down building; they think he was just sleeping with someone there though.” Alpha says unconcerned

Luna looks over the place and she freezes and looks at both Stacey and I “There is a known black witch in the area here Isaac, if he acted like this from hearing what Carter and Stacey are that must be why! He wants their power, and she can give it to him as long as they are not fully mated.”

Sebastian growls, which rumbles through the room and everyone stares at him unsure what he is about to do. “I AM GOING TO KILL HIM!” he gets up and starts raging and slams the door as he leaves.

Everyone let him be as they know they cannot calm him down, I offer to go and look but Curtis said, “he is fine, he just needs to cool off, he just told me not to let you out of my sight.” I look at him confused then I realise “Right, the mind-linking thing you can do.” Suddenly they ask me if I can mind-link which I politely say “Nope, never learned, I haven’t exactly been able to shift long let alone learn mind-linking.” “But it’s something we learn in like primary school?” Grace and Stacey say shocked “Well, when you are not welcomed in a pack until you turn 16 you tend not to learn a lot of things when you are only friends with humans.” I smile at them.

Curtis looks at me with a smile “I will teach you while Sebastian calms down, it is a really easy trick!” he says. “Great!” I respond

Alpha tells us to head back to the room and wait for Sebastian, Curtis takes his time explaining the whole Mind-linking thing, when he thinks I am ready he tells me to “Close your eyes and think about the person you want to contact, if they have their mind open a link will happen and you will be able to communicate, try it with me first.” I try and open my mind, but I cannot get Sebastian out of my mind, which apparently meant I was sending him the link instead.

“Please come back now.” I think through the link.

Suddenly I get a response. “Carter? Is that you?”

Sebastian, I think to myself he replied “Yeah, it me.”

“I didn’t think you knew how to mind link yet?”

“Curtis is giving me lessons, while we wait for you.” Curtis brings me out of my daze and Asked me what happened.

“I ended up mind-linking with Sebastian apparently.” I say shrugging my shoulders

“Well at least it works, now you can do that to anyone you need okay!” he said proudly, I nod at him and Sebastian walks through the door in nothing but baseball shorts, I felt my cheeks heat up and Curtis just gives me a wink and heads out the door.
