CHAPTER 27

I wake up feeling ecstatic! I have no worry at all, it is like being marked unleashed this new strength in me, which I am actually excited for, I roll over an notice the other side of the bed is empty, so I get up to shower and then head down for breakfast, as soon as I open the door Curtis is standing there waiting for me.

“Morning Carter, how did you sleep? You and Sebastian okay? He really would never put you in danger on purpose! I promise!” he asked worried and concerned

“Morning Curtis, I slept quite well surprisingly, yes we are okay, I would say more than okay to be honest, I know he wouldn’t do it on purpose, I’m not actually worried about it all now.” I say with a smile slightly showing him my mark.

“Oh my god! He marked you! This is fantastic! You must have taken some of his strength in the mating process!” he starts to say excitedly

“Woah we didn’t mate! We just had a little heated moment that led to this only!” I say trying to drop this conversation.

“Then it has to have something to do with you being a white wolf, I will do some research for you and we can find out! Now I am taking you under my wing whenever Sebastian is out with his dad!” he insisted

I just smile at him “Okay deal, now can I get something to eat?” I ask seriously hungry.

“Oh yes! Sorry! Let’s go!” he gestures for me to follow him.

We make our way down to the kitchen and dining room where Grace and Stacey happen to be sitting, I haven’t even gotten to the table before Curtis opens his mouth to the girls…

“Guess what girls, Carter and Sebastian marked each other last night look.” He says pulling my hair away so they could see.

“Bloody hell Curtis anyone would think you’re a girl the way you like to blab out other people’s personal life.” I say slapping his hand away.

“OH MY GOD!” they both scream

“Calm it guys please!” I say completely embarrassed.

“Does this mean you both mated?” Stacey asked.

“No we didn’t mate, we had a little heated moment that ended up with this! Nothing else okay! Can we drop it!” I say going bright red.

“Yeah I don’t want to know the gross details of my brother, just the basics please.” Graces says giving me a wink.

“Curtis, where is my brother? Shouldn’t he be here with Carter?” she asked

“He went out with the trackers in search of Tomas, I had strict orders to not let Carter out of my site and to notify her original pack just in case Tomas wants to course an issue there.” as soon as he said that I froze.

“MANEY, CHARLIE!” I start to panic which all three notice.

“Carter calm down, Evan and Kevin are keeping an extra eye on the both of them for you, I spoke to them first thing I promise, I kind of though the same thing you must be thinking, but he can’t get them!” Curtis says trying to reassure me.

“What if they fail? They are only Human!” I say taking this all in.

Stacey jumps in to also clam me down “Carter, Kevin has been with them all morning and he has made a plan that they agreed to, so they will never be alone, their houses will be watched every night as well.”

“How do you know?” I ask curiously.

“Well, we have been keeping in contact and he messaged me asking if I would also keep an eye on you. He is also worried about you.”  She said.

I felt a little less worried, so I decided to just send them both a message just in case.

-          Hey guys! Hope your day is going great I miss you both so much!

About 2 minutes later

-          Hey Carter! We miss you too! Hope your enjoying yourself! Kevin and Evan have us helping them with extra stuff for graduation! So, we will have to talk later!

That was all the reassurance I needed to be honest, I calm down and finish eating my food Grace and Stacey tell me that they have to go back to college tomorrow to finish up their own year of schooling which I completely forgot about, but they both reassured me they only had half days mostly now because they are all getting into exams.

All three decided to show me around the pack house since we never really got that far, it was really beautiful inside and out, I guess our pack house was as well, but I never really saw much of it. My favourite part is the little Garden the Luna had made herself, it was full of beautiful flowers, Rose’s, Lillie’s, Daisy’s you name it she has it planted here, she had this beautiful fountain near them which played the part and really made the garden the most calming place to be. We made our way back to the room as Curtis said Sebastian was back and I really needed to see him. Curtis opens the door for me but we both freeze with the sight we see. Someone that wasn’t me but looked like me was sitting on our bed like she belonged there, Curtis and I both look at each other confused as to what is happening, who is this girl trying to impersonate me? He stands in front of me like a shield.

“WHO ARE YOU?” he yells at her.

“Oh dear Curtis, you will soon find out who I am, but I am only here for her.” She says pointing at me with a Smirk on her face.

I use my sharpened senses and straight away I know she isn’t a wolf, just a Witch and a powerful one at that. “What do you want with me?” I say

“I want your precious powers Carter, today I am here as a warning at what is to come if you don’t come with me willingly.” She says smiling like she has won

“Why would I willingly come with you, let alone give you my powers!” I say getting angry at her requests

“Because who we are working for will not stop until we have you and your powers, and this will be easier for me if you do it all yourself.” She responds not dropping that damn smile.

My wolf is on edge, “Why do you look like me?” I ask

“Because your stupid mate and his trackers decided to raid our places which meant we had to move quickly; this was the easiest way into the pack territory along with getting to this place. Wasn’t this a genius plan?” she asked as if she wanted appraisal

I lose my control, Curtis must had mind linked a heap of people here as I can hear them standing there waiting for the go ahead, however I have other plans for her, I may have only just started my power training but I have this feeling she is about to use her powers to get her out of here. I use all 3 elements of my powers to contain her so she cannot move or use her hands, she struggles, I see defeat and slight signs of fear in her eyes.

“I guess you’re not as good as you thought you were.” I say smiling at her struggles.

“No! you can’t do this! How!” she screams struggling against my restraints.

“Sorry, but this is now my turn for all the questions and you giving me all the answers.” I say as my wolf takes over my human form.

“I take it you work for Tomas? Am I right?” I ask showing my fangs that I mean business.

“Yes master Tomas has 3 of us Black magic witched working for him.” She admits with total fear in her eyes.

“Where are the others!” I ask

“I don’t know we all had to go separate way when he came barging into our areas.” She says turning to look at Sebastian.

My wolf seems to calm down with him here. “Don’t lie to me Witch! Where are they!” I yell at her letting my claws dig into her a little more.

“I don’t know I swear I only know of 2 places they could be hiding at, but I have no idea exactly where.” I could see that she was being honest with me.

“Tell me those places.” I demand

She hesitates but tells us the information we needed honestly while fear is written all over her face as my wolf continues to taunt her.
