CHAPTER 29

I am sitting out on the patio of our room debating calling my dad or not, I don’t want to worry him any more then needed however, I did agree to notifying him of everything that was going on so I guess I better, so I dial his number.

“Hello Princess”

“Hey dad, I hope I am not interrupting anything?”

“I am never too busy to answer my princess’s call, what’s wrong? You sound upset.”

“I have to tell you some things that has happened.”

“What is it Princess?”

I tell him everything from the start to finish, he listens and doesn’t say a word until I ask for his opinion.

“Princess, I wish you had of told me as a soon as the incident happened, but I believe in you and your decisions, I will support you in any way I can.” He says which melts my heart that he approves of my decisions so easily.

“I promise I will call you every day, until this is over so you know I am okay, can you do me a favour?”

“what is it princess?” he asked

“Please keep an extra eye on Maney and Charlie for me? I know Evan and Kevin have been, but I need someone that has been by my side the whole time to do it, so I know they are safe.”

“I promise I will keep them safe, promise me you won’t let this Tomas win. I can’t lose you.” He responds

“I promise you dad, I got to go, I love you.”

“I love you too be safe princess.”

I hang up, I try to hind my feelings and lock them away, like I normally would and act the part of this teen wolf that has no care in the world, but I can’t I finally brake down. The tears won’t stop flowing, the worry of the worst the pain I have knowing my mate is now worried, everything is just too much, I hear Sebastian come to the room and rush towards me.

“Carter, what is it? What happened? Are you okay?” he asked worried

“I just…. I Can’t stop… I can’t shut them off…” I say crying, he notices what I am talking about and comforts me.

“It’s okay baby, let it all out, you don’t need to be strong all the time, it’s okay to worry, it’s okay to cry, don’t ever feel like you need to keep your emotions away from me okay? I will always be here for you to let it out.” He says hugging me tight letting me cry my worries out.

After 30 minutes I calm down “Thank you, I know this is hard on you Sebastian, but please believe in me.” I ask.

“I will always believe in you babe, even when I worry, I will never doubt your strength and courage to protect yourself and this pack. I promise.” He says kissing my forehead.

“Are you hungry?” he asked, “We can go out and grab some dinner if you want.”

I giggle “I would love that!”

He lets me go freshen up, and we head out to get some food at the diner in town, everyone greets us with respect and they ask about me, trying to get to know me, he happily tells them that I am his mate and will be their future Luna, everyone cheers at the fact that he has a mate, and that they are the first to know about me around the pack.

“We will be formally announcing Carter, soon we just wanted to let her settle in before throwing her into the deep end.” He says to the lovely old lady that runs the diner.

“It was so lovely to meet you Carter, be sure to keep this boy in line for me.” She says to me

“I will try my best miss.” I say with a smile

she smiles back at me “You can call me Jenny dear; Sebastian here has been coming in here since he was a little tacker, I know what her can be like. If you ever need anything you let me know.” She says giving him a wink.

“I will keep you in mind Jenny, thank you for the lovely dinner.” I say as we take our leave.

“She is very fond of you.” I say to Sebastian on the way home

“She sure is, she used to help my mum out when she was younger, so she is kind of a close family friend that is well respected in our pack, she’s like a mum to everyone when needed.” He tells me.

“She seems like the type; I wonder if she would let me help her out during the day while you are at school with the others. It would give me something to do.” I ask

“I am sure she would love to give you all the Goss about me, I will have a chat with mum when we get back, she can sort something out for you if you really want to.” He says

“I would! I need something to keep me occupied after all.” I say he smiles at me.

“You really will make a great Luna here babe, I am so lucky I got given you.” I smile at his kind words.

“I will forever do my best, so far everyone has welcomed me with open arms, I just want to give back as much as I can.” I say unable to wipe the smile off my face.

We make it back home and to his words he speaks to his mum about talking to Jenny about letting me help out during the day, she seemed thrilled with the idea and was happy to ask, she even offered to take me there every day until Sebastian and the others finish school in a few weeks. I think she was happy that we had taken our minds off the worst that has been happening and trying to work out plans for our future.

We ended up calling it a night and went to our room to rest up and watch a movie together until I eventually fell asleep wrapped in my mate’s arms like I have a lot lately. I dream about what is to come, the trouble we may face the hard times, but I also dream of mine and Sebastian’s future of which is to come, I would give anything to make sure this all plays out the way it has in my dream, that’s for sure.
