Cassandra’s Pov:
I brush past bodies tangled together, swaying on the music as I make my way towards the other side of the bar.
I pause for a second when I see the sage green eyed guy missing. His spot is left empty beside the prick I am going to target.
Well, it’s good he isn’t here.Least he ruined my plan.
“My my, I wonder if I could have the honour of knowing the name of this beauty?” The prick says with a cheeky smile as soon as I sit down on the empty seat, as if he knew I was coming.
I wince at his cheesy pickup line but keep my expression pleasant.
Calm down Cass, you have to take him away from here. Or his friends will ruin everything.
I smile charmingly and offer him a glass. “I will answer if you drink it. One glass one question. What do you say?”
He smiles and nods, taking the glass and gulping down everything.
“Now, can I have the honour?” He asks, holding up the empty glass.
“Cassie Miller.” I say, giving him a fake name, and chug down my drink and smile. “My turn.”
“Would you like to dance?” I say, leaning a bit closer to convey the real meaning.
That does the trick somehow because he smirks and gets up, holding out his hand. “How can I refuse such a beauty? Let's go.”
His hands roam over my back as he pulls me closer. The dance floor is packed with couples dancing together. On top of that, it’s dark enough to hide his roaming hands that I feel like breaking. His face leans closer, reaching in for my lips, but I turn around before he can kiss me.
“Playing hard, huh.” He chuckles behind me and pulls me close, my back meeting his front as we sway slowly.
“I don’t play easy games.” I say and grab his hands before he can touch my chest. I frown when I suddenly feel my vision blurring and the sounds closing off, a buzz echoing in my ears.
“I just seem to like hard games. How about we take this somewhere else?” He says, kissing my shoulder with his dirty lips. I can’t focus much on that as I try to clear my vision. But it only worsens as I feel my consciousness slipping.
A thought hits me, and my heart skips a beat.
Shit, did I drink the alcohol that was meant for him? No wonder that prick is still as conscious as ever.
I don’t realise that we have left the dance floor until he starts dragging me somewhere, and I can’t protest as I fight against myself to stay conscious.
This is bad.
This is so freaking bad.
This bastard clearly realised something was wrong with me, yet he is dragging me away. Clearly, he doesn’t have good intentions.
How did I mess up like this? I have to get out of here. There’s no way this asshole won't do anything to me.
But I can barely stand straight on my own feet.
Ugh, that dammed Jas. She got some god darn powerful drug. It feels like my body is paralysed. I can’t even lift my hand.
“Where are you taking her?” A voice comes so cold that it sends a shiver down my spine.
“Just to have some fun.” That prick says, and I swear I feel the air suddenly turn chilly.
“Let go of her and walk back into the party like you never met her.” The voice says, and I frown, trying to guess if I am hallucinating.
“Why should I listen to you, Kayden? Mind your own business. And let me mind mine.” He says and starts pulling me away.
Kayden?
Kay...den...?
Huh? Isn’t this prick’s name Kayden? Why is he calling him Kayden?
A hand grips mine and tugs hard, making me bump into a hard wall of muscles. The scent of his body hit me like a truck. Cedar... warm cedar and rain.
He smells so good. I nuzzle against him unconsciously, finding comfort in his scent.
“How am I supposed to teach him a lesson if you are being like this, little trouble?” A shudder goes through me as I feel the voice whispering in my ears.
“Give the girl back.”
A pair of arms wrap around me and lift me up effortlessly as I start losing consciousness.
“I gave you a chance, Marcel.” He says, and soon a loud scream echoes through the hall, making me shudder.
“Easy, sweetheart, I got you.” The last words I hear before darkness engulfs me.
The Next Morning.
I open my eyes and find the unfamiliar ceiling above me. Panic grips me right away as I look down and find myself naked.
Okay, not naked. I frown as I see the unfamiliar and extremely big t-shirt on my body, which is definitely not mine.
Last night’s events come crashing down, and I moan quietly in pain as I hold my head.
Okay, time to prepare myself for the worst-case scenario. Since i am in an unfamiliar room it’s clear that i couldn’t get away from that i***t last night.
When I try to move, I finally notice the large and imposing hand draped over me, holding me close.
A...hand?
It’s really true... I slept with someone.
My heart thuds in my chest loudly as I follow the muscular hand and look at the person beside me.
God, please no. Please not that prick.
Just as I am praying, my heart skips a beat when I recognise the sleeping face.
How?
What the hell...?
How is it him?
That sage green eyed guy?!
“Woke up? I thought I wore you out last night.” A deep and husky voice says, making me jump in fright as his eyes suddenly open.
“Wh-what the hell are you doing here? What did you do to me?” I ask, standing on my feet and wrapping the white sheets around me. He sits up, and I hate how my eyes follow through the lines of his abs and muscles as he stretches his hands.
Damn... he is big, as in body size.
If I found him hot last night, then I am on the verge of having a nosebleed right now. I couldn’t even tell he was hiding so many muscles under his t-shirt.
“Saved you from a cockroach who was probably about to assault you with his limp d**k last night if I hadn’t interfered.” He says and smirks as his eyes go down my body, as if remembering it. “But I didn’t expect to get attacked by a wild cat instead. You are quite wild despite having such an innocent face.”
No wonder... he saved me from that prick... but it doesn’t make sense if I end up sleeping with him anyway.
I try not to let his words get to me and glare at him. “What happened last night?”
He gets up and walks towards me slowly. I take a step back when he reaches me and leans down, whispering. “You were begging for it, sweetheart.”
“You-you-don't you dare lie!” I say which, end up coming out more soft then angry.
He smiles lazily, which makes my heart skip a beat, and stands straight. “You know better whether I am lying or not, little trouble.”
I take a step back and hiss immediately when I feel a sharp pain down there. I immediately understand his meaning.
I slept with him.
I turn around when he passes by me and see him putting on a shirt.
He is so tall, almost a head taller than me. What kind of justice is this? I slept with such a hot guy, and I don’t even remember it. Is it a good thing or a bad thing?
I want to yell at him so bad, but I just can’t bring myself to after he saved me last night.
It’s been so long since I slept with someone...
Forget it, I will just consider it a one-night stand.
“What’s your name?” The words leave my lips before I can stop myself.
His messy morning hair falls over his forehead as he looks back at me with a smirk. “Kayden. Kayden King.”
Why does this name seem so familiar?
I frown as he opens the door. “You look cute while begging, sweetheart. Make sure to stay away from bad wolves.” He says walking out, and I swear he is referring to himself.
The door closes behind him, and I am left alone in the room. I look around, seeing my clothes scattered around the room, when something clicks, and I freeze.
Wait-
KAYDEN?
He is Kayden?!
