Nine months passed since Jessica died, Matthew moved from their apartment back to his parents’ house, he was lost in his thoughts when his mother called him to go inside, outside was very cold, but the frozen air was always making him feel like breathing until his lungs, this is what he needed now. The things for his family were not good, it was the second attempt for murdering his father within the last 8 years, he told him many times to give all the evidences he had to the Detectives and to make a deal with them but he didn't want to do it, he knew that this would mean the end of Matthew's career. Matthew’s phone vibrated. 'Are you coming tonight?' the name of Derek flashed in his screen 'Yes' At 8.15 he was outside their place with two bottles of their childhood favorite wine, Paola was the one who opened the door for him, he wasn't surprised to see her, he knew she would be there, she was wearing a white long jumper with jeans and adidas trainers, had her hair in a ponytail and no makeup on, that woman was so beautiful with or without make up on he thought, he kissed her and gave her the bottles, the night went by fast, Paola went for the 11th or 10th time for cigarette outside, that time he went out with her. 'How's life?' 'Concerts, tours, going all around the world, thanks to you' 'Thanks to your voice' 'We all know if Eli Shaw was not the one to manage my career, I would never be where I am now' 'Known all over the globe, you deserve it and I would do the same thing again if we could turn the time back' 'If we could turn the time back...' she said and she stopped, she took two more puffs from her cigarette.  and continued ‘’I wouldn't be so selfish and I would show you what I really felt, perhaps things now would be very different, maybe she would be alive now'’ she said and she burst to tears. When she found her breath again, she realized that she was in Matthew's arms, she pulled back abruptly. 'Sorry' 'There is nothing to be sorry about, she was your best friend and I understand how you feel’’ 'I am sorry, I didn't want to make you sad' 'Ah Paola, I wish I had a magic wand that would fix everything' 'I wish that too...' 'You are shivering, let's go inside' - After more time and a lot of wine Paola got her phone to call for a taxi. 'You can stay here tonight' Bailey said 'No, it's fine, I wanna dive in my cozy bed, that's the only thing I need now' 'I can give you a lift' he said 'No, no it's fine, I’ll get a cab' 'We are going the same way' 10 minutes later while they were driving in silence, she spoke first to him. 'I don't want you to think that I didn't bring my car on purpose so that you will take me home' 'I never thought this was the case' 'Just making sure you don't have this impression' 'Even if you would, I wouldn't mind' 'You wouldn't?' 'No' he said, and he pulled on the side of the road with the machine running to keep the warm temperature in the car. 'Why you pulled over?' 'You wanna go out with me?' 'What?' 'Simple, do you wanna go out with me?' 'Out... where?' 'On a date' 'Wow, that's a new, will you remember about it tomorrow?' 'Come with me' he pulled her out of the car and asked her 'A drunk person can walk straight on this line?' and he showed her the road lines 'I guess no..' she mumbled He walked straight on the line back and forth five times 'You are crazy' she said 'Your answer is?' 'My answer is yes; I will date you' 'I started sweating!' 'Impossible' 'Well I can prove it to you' 'Lol, let's get in the car' Soon they arrived in front of her house. 'I will pick you up tomorrow at three' 'See you then' she said and kissed his cheek soon after she almost run out of the car, her heart was pumping like crazy, as if she was sixteen again, she was counting the minutes for three o’clock to come. It was cold but she didn't care, holding his hand and walking by the sea was one of her dreams coming true. Talking with him about all the things that happened in her life and his life while he was away. 'How come you are not dating anyone' 'It's hard for anyone to keep up with me' 'When was your last relationship?' 'Actually... I, well you can call that, or no you don't, but is not. Well I never had a relationship, at least a complete relationship' 'Wait, you mean it? you seriously didn't have a relationship before?' 'I didn't' she said quietly 'Does that mean you didn't have s*x either?' 'This topic makes me feel uncomfortable' 'You didn't, right?' 'Right, stop making fun of me' 'Am not' 'Then why are you laughing' 'Not to mock you, just thinking that nobody would believe this' 'I have no reason to lie' 'I know you don't, so you wait for Mr. Perfect?' he said when he wrapped his hands around her 'I was always waiting for you' she said and surrendered to a long deep kiss, the one that she was wishing for all these years, he was holding her so tight in his arms, they were kissing for long, ten minutes, one hour, they didn't know, they just lived for that moment. 'I was waiting for this so long' 'Me too, I was thinking about you many times, every time I was listening to your songs I was always wishing that you were singing them for me, only for me' he didn't expect her answer, he continued kissing her until the rain got stronger, they both laughed  while they were running to the car.
