I was shifted before my paws hit the ground after leaping from the window. Taking off after my mate as fast as I could move. No scent to follow but a tether between us was paving the path I needed to take. I dodge trees hearing my pack behind me though a distance away. I see a flash of white through the trees but it's gone before I catch a better look of it. Radolf growls in frustration fueling me to run faster and he cuts a corner the ball of white fur now under us as we leap into the clearing.

Landing and tumbling with the wolf that I now know as my mate we fight for dominance. Something normal between mates the first time they shift Radolf latches onto her neck gently pinning her to the ground below us and growling a show of dominance. However, As her paws connect with my underside and launch me from her with a force I had never felt from another wolf my canines tear her flesh slightly. A warning growl escapes her and she is on her paws again in a defensive position. Blood stains around her neck now and I taste her sweetness on my tongue. The image of me sinking into her neck and marking her has my canines tingling. I scramble to get up just as the rest of my most trusted pack members leap into the clearing. I realize we are in front of a house now my mate a rather large pure white wolf with two glowing purple orbs. She is a beacon and I am at her mercy. The front door to the house flies open upon the sound of my mate's thunderous growl and I barely catch a glimpse of the male before he leaps through the air shifting into a caramel colored wolf. He collides with Julius who meets him in the air and they tumble to the forest floor biting at each other. My mate doesn't take her eyes off me as she bares her canines at me like I'm her enemy. Radolf views it as a fight for dominance still and watches her every move waiting to pounce again. My mate growls almost like a command and the caramel wolf stops his attack going to her side.

I notice almost no blood is on him and take note of Axel Julius' wolf bleeding slightly and limping like the wolf got a few good blows in. Leading me to wonder if this wolf was a Gamma or Beta possibly. The wolf next to my mate's side eyes her before taking a defensive position also watching our every move. Radolf growls possessively baring his canines and our full aura releasing. The two wolves don't even so much as flinch however I notice my mate snarl again her eyes swirling with a purple storm. I squat ready to pounce on her again when two of my pack members connect with my side. Lincoln and Makin, twin brothers who are a force to be reckoned with and could probably also be my gamma had my brother not decided to stay within the pack in that position. I growl at them shaking it over and glancing at my mate before focusing on them again. A burning smell hits my nostrils and I whip around to see the grass where I was scorched. My mate snaps at me but Makin grabs my attention as he pushes a link through to me.

'That is not a wolf that you want to get into a pissing contest with.' Makin chimes through the link and I feel his brother Lincoln connecting to enlighten me.

'That wolf is what legends and myths originate from. She is who our bedtime stories were based around. An elemental wolf possibly the last one.' I turn on my mate locking eyes with her deep purple ones. She is still in the potion to defend whatever lies within that house. I'm not left wondering for long as a female about the same size as Alice but maybe a little leaner and strawberry blonde hair peaks out of the house. My mate doesn't even turn to her but she growls. However, the female just smirks slightly coming out of the house completely and striding up to her. She runs her fingers through my mate's sparkling white coat that looks as soft as silk and almost coos at her.

"Aadya that's no way to treat guests." The name echoes through my mind and Radolf nearly pants at just hearing it. A ferocious beast turned into a lovesick puppy. The female's attention is drawn from my mate's wolf or Aadya as I just discovered her name and she zeros in on Conal. Her mouth moves but I can't hear it however I notice Aadya nearly flinch. She growls and turns blocking the female's path and almost ushering her into the house turning her back on us.

"Do come in. Dinner is almost done there is plenty for everyone. I will have Maverick bring out clothes for all of you." The female speaks again my mate turns around and growls in warning at all of us as the male wolf or Maverick as the female called him heads into the house to fetch us clothes. Aadya ushers the female in but we aren't left waiting long as a tall man with dark black hair tanned skin and pale green eyes returns with a large stack of clothes. He sets them on the steps before disappearing back into the cabin with a grunt. We waste no time at all with shifting and dressing I notice the cautious looks from Lincoln.

"Alpha, just don't push her too much. She is a dominant wolf and isn't meant to submit to anyone." Is all Lincoln says before I knock on the door and am greeted by Maverick once more? I suppress the urge to growl at a male being so close to my mate but instead nod and he hesitates before stepping aside and letting us in. Leading us to a large dining room the table nearly set but I notice it is empty. I sit at one head of the table and we fill in from there it isn't long before the strawberry blonde female walks in with my tense mate. The other female is carefree and smiles warmly at us sitting beside Alice and Maverick sitting opposite of her next to my mate. I clench my jaw at their closeness and don't miss his eyes all over her. She gives him a warm look like they are communicating through a mind link however when her eyes meet mine again all warmth freezes over. The female clears her throat and I notice her steal eyes with Conal as she speaks.

"I'm sorry about the way we met. I'm Katherine, and that is Maverick and Millie. I suppose we have a lot to talk about however, let's get some food in our system first." She motions to the large array of food in front of us and the first to dig in is Ballard. He shrugs unapologetically as Ophelia tsks. The meal is silent and tense and I don't bother filling my plate. Alice however places a few things on it for me that I don't touch. My eyes stay pinned to my mate who continuously scans everyone at the table. She growls every time Conal's eyes land on Katherine and I notice her body growing tenser by the second. I can tell he is growing impatient but I'm confused as to why. He slams his flatware down and growls at my mate earning one from me but he doesn't stand down.

"Stop trying to suppress something perfectly normal! She is my mate and if I wish to look at her I will. Worry about your mate!" He growls and we are all baffled besides the three at the end of the table. However Maverick looks pained slightly but his eyes land back on Millie my beautiful mate who snaps her eyes deep purple and growls in her voice.

"Don't come into my house and growl at me pup!" The air sizzles and I notice Katherine shift uncomfortably before her hand lands on Millie's. My mate looks at her for a moment before huffing out a breath and sitting back in her chair.

"You have to excuse Millie it's in her nature to be protective. She doesn't mean any harm by it." Katherine tries to smooth it over but Conal just clicks his tongue. I notice my mate's eyes snap to Conal again a fire burning within and Maverick's hand lands on her shoulder as he leans in whispering to her. I see red and a growl shakes everything on the table.

"Get your hands off my mate!" Radolf growls My canines come out as he bares them and my claws elongate. My mate rises and I feel a blinding aura burst into the room shoving Radolf into the darkness of my mind. Her chair falls back and I notice purple flames lick up her arms however her eyes are the brightest white I've ever seen.

"You can keep that word out of your mouth. I have no desire to have a mate, especially the likes of you!"
