Chapter 17
The Demonic Survivors plotted and planned until Cody’s dad arrived and picked him up. He felt like he was leaving a party, even though he and Adam agreed to use the Ouija board at Lin’s house over the following few days until Friday night, when the group would reconvene and attempt to destroy Doyle Howlett.
Cody and his dad reached the hotel and entered amidst the cries of the reporters. Cody looked for Irene Valencia, the supposed maid, but found no trace of her. She had subtlety and wouldn’t be caught in the throng of hungry newshounds.
Cody ate room service with his parents and talked about the aptitude test. He watched TV in his room and Googled all he could about Ouija boards before going to bed.
