5 I eased into a seat between my grandfather and Vicki, once more human and clothed. Gabrielle sat off to one side; she’d tried to leave, but Alistair had waved her to a side table. Alistair’s office smelled like old books, but in a nice way, not the stale smell old libraries sometimes had. I wanted to scan the bookshelf along one wall and see what titles I found, but it seemed like everyone wanted to focus on me. “Have you given any thought to what comes next, Wyatt?” Alistair asked.
