Motherly Talk

Zoey’s POV “Don’t worry, Molly, I’m just trying to get control of their powers,” Magnus assured her. “It looks like it’s not going too well,” Mom laughed slightly. “Well girls come give me a hug!” Only Chloey and I ran over to hug her. Joey stayed in her spot, glaring at her. I was confused. Did something happen between them. “No hug Joey?” Mom asked almost desperately. Joey slowly walked over to her and hugged her loosely. “Darling, I was hoping Molly and I could talk to you?” Chancellor asked Magnus. “Regarding…well you know.” “Of course. Ladies, can we pick this up tomorrow?” “Definitely,” Joey commented before breezing out of the room. “Is she okay?” Chloey asked. “I’m sure she just wants to go see Marsden,” Magnus assured us. “See you tomorrow.” Chloey and I left the room. “What do you think they’re discussing?” I asked. “The fate of the Witching Domain?” Chloey shrugged. “I’m gonna go see what Rune is up to.” “You’re really not curious what they’re talking about? I mean is it not weird that Mom and the Chancellor are here?” “Sure, but it’s none of my business. See you later.” I sighed. Was I the only one of my sisters who actually cared about the Witching Domain? I slumped to Tate’s room. “That was quick,” He stated. “Mom and the Chancellor showed up.” I informed him. “Strange,” “Right! My sisters don’t even care! They just went off to their boyfriends. And Joey is acting so strangely with Mom.” “Maybe she told her to break up with Marsden or something?” Tate suggested. “No way,” I sighed. “She loves Marsden.” “You could always ask your Mom. You guys have a great relationship right?” I nodded. “You’re so lucky.” “Do you and your mom not have a good relationship?” I asked. “We have a weird one. I think she gets sad around me now since I look so much like my dad. She really misses him.” “I’m sorry,” I hugged him. “I’m sure when there’s more time to heal your relationship will get better.” “I really hope so. Are you gonna ask your mom what’s going on?” “Definitely.” -- I managed to catch Mom as she was leaving Magnus' office. “Oh, hi Zoey!” She smiled. “How long are you staying?” I questioned. “A day or two,” “What are you here for?” “A private matter, sweetie.” “Well what’s wrong with Joey?” I could see Mom’s face change. “She’s going through a lot right now.” “I know, but she seemed upset today.” I pointed out. “I will talk to her.” “Talk to me, Mom!” I exclaimed. “Zoey, what do you want to talk about?” “I feel like everyone in this family is hiding something from me!” “What do you mean?” “Joey is definitely hiding something with Marsden, and Chloey seems a little off lately too and now you’re here and you’re not telling me anything! I have no idea if it’s all separate things or if you’re all in on this secret together without me.” Mom sighed and hugged me. “No one is in on anything without you, darling. I will talk to both of your sisters and see what’s going on okay? Would that make you feel better?” I nodded. “A lot better.” “Okay. I’m sorry, I would tell you what I’m here for, but it’s confidential.” “I get that,” I nodded. “Thanks.” “Of course. You tell Tate I said hi huh?” She smiled. “Sure.” She kissed my forehead before walking off. I looked after her, wondering if my mom had just lied and somehow she knew exactly what was going on. Chloey’s POV The door to my room barely closed before Rune was kissing me and pushing me towards the bed. My shirt was on the floor in what seemed like a second. “I am so horny right now,” Rune murmured against my lips. “I need you Chloey.” “I love being needed,” I pulled his shirt off. Rune lifted me off my feet before lowering me on the bed. He kicked his pants off before climbing on top of me. His eager lips found my neck and sucked hard as he tugged my skirt off. I could feel his erection against my thigh. I shivered as anticipation ran through my body. I felt Rune press against my entrance before pushing inside. I moaned softly as he continued moving slowly in and out of me until I got wetter. His strokes became faster as he moaned and groaned on top of me. “Oh Rune!” I cried out. “I have to slow down,” Rune said, more to himself than me. I didn’t mind. I wanted this to last. I was absolutely consumed with this. “Hey Chloey sweetie, I wanted to ta-OH MY!” “Mom!” I shrieked, pulling the cover over mine and Rune’s head. I had never been more grateful that we liked having s*x under the covers. “I’m so sorry, I just need to talk to you!” “Could you please wait outside?” I called. “Sure, of course!” “Oh my god!” I cried. “Well that was embarrassing,” Rune whispered as he hopped out of bed to get dressed. “Embarrassing? My mom knows I’m not a virgin now!” “She knows Joey and Zoey aren’t. I doubt she’ll lose her mind if you aren’t.” Huh. I guess I hadn’t thought about that. Still this was mortifying. Rune took a deep breath before opening the door. “Mrs. Rosaria, really lovely to see you again. I’m so sorry for that.” “It’s fine, Rune. Nice to see you again too.” Mom walked in and closed the door. “Hey,” I half waved. “Wow all my girls are intimate now.” She laughed slightly. “Was he your first or…” “Cade, actually.” “You didn’t tell me why you broke up with him.” “He lied to me…and maybe I still really liked Rune.” I admitted. “And he doesn’t lie to you?” She asked. “Definitely not, he’s amazing.” “Good, I’m glad.” “So what did you want to talk to me about?” I asked. “I just wanted to check in with you. Zoey says you’ve been a little strange.” I wondered if she knew what Joey and I were up to with Magnus. Since the Chancellor knew, would she feel obligated to tell her right hand woman that two of her daughters were participating in possibly the most dangerous plot in the entire Witching Domain right now? “Um, what does she mean by strange?” “I’m not sure, honestly. That’s why I’m asking. She seems to think Joey is acting strangely too.” “Well, I don’t know if you heard, but Marsden almost died a few weeks ago,” I offered. Mom seemed surprised to hear that. “What happened?” “He and Tate got into a duel that ended really badly. Joey got hurt too.” I felt awful for throwing Tate under the bus, but I had to make sure Mom didn’t find out what Joey and I were up to. “Are you kidding me?” Mom gasped. “Why wasn’t I told about this?” “I don’t know,” I said innocently. “I thought Magnus would have mentioned it.” “I’m so sorry Chloey, but I have to go talk to Joey. You’re okay right?” “Oh I’m fine, Mom.” I smiled before hugging her. She walked out and I laid back on my bed and let out a sigh of relief. I was getting good at this lying thing. Joey’s POV I didn’t want to speak to my mom. I wasn’t sure what I would say to her. I still wasn’t ready to discuss the Dark Vampiric Warlock issue with her, though I think she had an idea that I knew. I went back to my room. I just needed some alone time. I realized how much of that I never got anymore. I was always with Marsden or Magnus or Chloey. I never had any me time to truly reflect on how insane my life actually was now. This was not how I thought my life would turn out. I thought I would have like five boyfriends who would occasionally fight over me and be just breezing by the way I used to. Not caught in the middle of all of this mess. I missed the simpler times, but also I wouldn’t want to never have Marsden. He was worth all of this, no matter how shitty things get. I hadn’t even realized that I had fallen asleep until I heard a knock on my door. I yawned as I got up and went to the door. I was surprised to see my mother. “What are you doing here?” I asked. “We need to talk, sweetie. Can I come in?” “Sure.” I went and sat on my bed, while she took a seat at my desk. “What’s up?” I asked. “Are you okay? I heard something happened with Marsden and Tate and you were involved.” I sighed. “Yeah, it was a huge accident, everything is fine now. Tate apologized, Zoey and I are good, everything is totally fine.” “I want you to talk to me for real Joey.” “Why? You don’t talk to us!” “About what? I talk to you about everything!” “No…I know things now!” I hissed. “I’ve seen things! I’ve met people who knew you back when you and dad started dating!” Her eyes widened. “Did Giselle tell you something?” “No, actually she didn’t. She protected your secret.” “Joey, tell me what it is that you think that you know,” Mom begged me. “Just let me explain!” “Revalsmente!” I waited for a change to occur, only it didn’t. Mom still looked the same. I was confused. “What was that?” She asked. “I thought you were a Dark Vampiric Warlock,” I whispered. She sighed. “I…I was.” “Then why didn’t you change?” She lifted her sleeve and there were puncture wounds. “I am no longer one, but the puncture wounds never go away.” “Why did you do it?” I asked. “The same reason you would do it for Marsden. I love your father more than anything in the world. But when I found out I was pregnant with you girls, I reversed it. I wanted your father to do it too, but he was so deep in. I thought our family was enough to keep him away and it wasn’t.” “I didn’t know it was reversible.” “Are you going to turn?” Mom questioned. “For Marsden? Because he’s one?” “Count Killoran and Dad want me turned.” She looked horrified. “Joey, I’m so scared for you. But I’m not going to tell you what to do.” “Why not?” “Director Magnus said you know what you’re doing. I trust that.” “So you know everything?” I laughed slightly. “Yeah, now I do.” She got up and hugged me. “Just please be careful.” “I will.” “Alright, I think I need some time to process everything,” Mom chuckled. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow.” “Hey Mom?” I asked. “You knew Marsden had been turned when you met him right?” “Yes, I did.” She admitted. “So why do you like him so much?” “He reminds me of your father…only I think he’ll actually give up this life for you.”
