“Then tell me what you want Liv tell me!” Axel spoke. He was mad. “I don’t know” I said and looked at him “you do know you do Liv just tell me!” he shouted. “I want to be left alone!” I shouted back. “No, you want more then that Liv” axel spoke “I want Lucas!” I screamed. Axel’s face dropped, he left the room, and I sat down. I didn’t want Lucas I wanted the conversation to be over. I wanted them to listen to me.

The rest of the night was quiet, I only left my room to go to the roof to look at the stars. Lucas walked up and sat next to me after a minute. “Olivia I’m really sorry I don’t know what happened I never want to hurt you little Luna” he took my hand and I pulled away from him. “you’re still frightened of me” he looked down sad and part of me wanted to comfort him I hated that part of myself.

“No Lucas I’m not I just want…” I sighed fighting tears. “What is it? what do you want little Luna I’ll get whatever you want.” Lucas spoke. “I don’t know I don’t want to talk I want you to stop” I said and put my head in my hands. “I want you to talk to me Luna please?” Lucas lifted my chin to make me look at him. I sighed “I want Axel” I lied I didn’t know who or what I wanted. Or if I wanted either of them.

“That maybe so little Luna but I’m not going to give up on you” Lucas kissed my forehead and I felt giddy. He left me alone with my thoughts and the stars. I don’t remember anything much after that. But I must have came back inside and went to bed because I woke up in my bed to arguing coming from downstairs. I groaned and got up, I changed my clothes and brushed my teeth and walked downstairs.

Lucas and Axel were in the kitchen they shut up when I walked in. “morning….” I spoke and got water from the fridge. “Morning little Luna” Lucas beamed “morning Liv” Axel smiled and looked at me. “So, you guys aren’t mad at me anymore?” I asked and bit my lip leaning on the countertop. “No but we do have a question” Lucas said. “Lucas don’t” Axel whined. “My baby brother said you told him you wanted to be with me but you little Luna told me yourself. You wanted to be with him. So, tell me the truth Luna who is it going to be” Lucas smirked.

“Well, I don’t actually know I just wanted you guys to shut up and listen to me” I spoke and they both smirked. “We are all ears now princess” Lucas smiled, and Axel rolled his eyes at Lucas. “We are listening Liv” Axel told me. “If you two insist on this then I will give you a chance to prove it win my heart” I spoke. And they both looked at each other and back at me. “So, you will be dating?” Axel asked, “us both at the same time?” Lucas asked. “More or less, if its too much then I guess we can all just drop it and move on” I shrugged. “No, we are in” Axel and Lucas said at the same time.

I nodded and smiled “fine I’m going to school now.” I said Axel was the first to volunteer to drive me which left Lucas sulking. “Fine but I get to pick you up” Lucas said. I nodded and rolled my eyes at the two of them acting like lovesick pups. I walked to the navy-blue BMW. Axel opened the door for me, and I placed my backpack in the floor and got in buckling up.

Axel got in the driver’s seat. He sighed and looked at me. “Liv I’m sorry I shouted at you” Axel told me. I nodded “its fine I get it you were upset” I spoke and Axel grabbed my hand and laced his fingers with mine. Since we were trying this, I didn’t fight it. He drove me to school he pulled into the parking lot. “I can walk you inside if you like.” Axel offered. “that’s not necessary” I assured the wolf.

I got out of the car, and he did too he walked over to my side of the car. He took my backpack from me causing me to look at him. He placed on hand on my waist and my breath hitched. Axel placed his other hand on the car and his face was inches from mine. “Have a good day Liv” he whispered and kissed my cheek I blushed.

I looked up seeing Lacy and Christian sitting on the steps of the entrance of the school Lacey looked like she was going to burst with excitement. Christian looked as if he was annoyed. Along with the whole cheer squad. Who looked like they were seething. Those girls were never jealous of me and never even looked my way, it was kind of nice.

“I’ll see you later beautiful” Axel spoke, and I nodded he gave me my backpack and I walked to the school I felt Axel’s eyes on me the whole time I walked over to Lacy who hugged me excitedly. “You chose Axel that is so great!” she giggled. “No, I didn’t I just gave them both a chance to win me over” I said. “You are dating them both! Lucky girl!” Lacy squealed. “Lucky? Isn’t it a little stupid?” Christian asked. “Christian!” Lacy scolded him. “No Lace its okay he is entitled to his own opinion” I spoke. “Maybe it is stupid Christian maybe I get my heart broken. Maybe I fall for both of them. Maybe I realize I don’t love either of them.” I sighed.

“But…?” Christian asked “but what?” Lacy asked, “nothing it sounded like there was going to be a but” Christian shrugged. “Christian you are the butt” Lacy spoke. I couldn’t help but laugh at the two, they were so perfect for each other. The three of us walked into school together.

“Look all I’m saying is that love triangles never work out in the movies” Christian spoke “movies since when do you watch movies with love triangles?” Lacy giggled. “I watch them with you Lace” Christian said to the girl. “Yea but you never pay attention and when you do all you do is complain about accuracy” Lacy rolled her eyes.

“Well excuse me for wanting movies that portray us to actually do it correctly.” Christian spoke and looked at the red head. “it’s a movie Chris its not real.” Lacy spoke. “Yea well what we have to go through is very real” Christian said defensively. “Correction what I have to go through. You haven’t gotten your wolf yet.” Lacy teased. “I will in a few days. Lace you are a month older them me must you always remind me of that?” Christian whined. “Yes, I must if you keep making fun of my taste in movies and literature” Lacy spoke very matter of factly. “Literature? I doubt what you read can qualify as literature” Christian laughed. “Christian?!” Lacy slapped his arm playfully.

“Okay let’s ask the leading lady herself. Liv? When was the last time you seen a vampire sparkle in the sunlight?” Christian asked and I looked at him to see if he actually wanted and answer. “it’s a movie Christian” Lacy whined. “I thought it was Literature?” Christian teased. I shook my head at the two “technically any book is literature despite being accurate or not” I spoke and walked with them. “Thank you, Livy,” Lacy beamed. “So, you have seen a vampire sparkle in the sun? or burst into flames or you seen the daylight rings?” Christian raised an eyebrow.

“No, I haven’t and enough about vampires” I finally said, “okay so you have seen a werewolf shift within seconds? Or seen a moonstone?” Christian asked. “Chris that’s not fair she is the only human in the group” Lacy whined and pulled on his arm. “She lives with werewolves” Christian defends. “Okay, okay let’s just agree that Chris watches love triangle movies and Lace picks dumb movies?” I said done with the conversation. “I’m cool with that” Chistian shrugged and shoved his hands in his pockets.

“I’m not!” screeched Lacy causing me to giggle. We walked to the band room where we always hung out. “So, what are you going to do about Axel and Lucas?” Lacy asked. “I don’t know lace” I sighed and sat in the chair by our corner table. “You will be 18 in 2 days Liv but 18 most wolves have their mates and are done dating” Lacy said innocently. “Liv isn’t a wolf.” Christian pointed out. “What my lack of fur and pointy teeth give that way?” I teased.

“it’s not a joke guys!” Lacy snapped and scolded us. I looked down. “Livy isn’t a wolf but Lucas and Axel both are” Lacy spoke. “Axel will wait as long as I need” I said. “And Lucas? I doubt he will wait Liv. He needs a union to become Alpha.” Lacy pointed out. “I know that” I said. “Do you are you familiar with wolf law?” Lacy asked. She was never this serious about anything, but wolf law was her passion she was studying to be a lawyer.

“mostly” I mumbled. “Well, you know that once you are 18 you can be chosen as a mate. You can reject Axel it will be painful for you both. And if Lucas picks you and you reject him, he can have you put to death. But either way you’ll be marked, and the mark will turn you.” Lacy spoke and looked at me. “So, I’ll just marry someone I don’t know if I love or not?” I sighed. “Maybe you will learn to love him.” Lacy spoke quietly. I put my head down and groaned.

“Do you even want to be a wolf Liv?” Christian finally spoke. “No, I don’t” I spoke quickly. “Then why would you date either of them then?” Christian asked me. “Axel said he wouldn’t mark me if I chose him maybe Lucas would agree too” I said quietly. “Wolf law states that a mate must be marked” Lacy added. I groaned, Christan patted my shoulder. “that’s enough wolf law for now Lace” Christian said gently. I was grateful he said something I felt like my head was going to explode.
