Jackie narrowed her eyes. “You know something, Brooke? You’re spooky.” I am? she wondered to herself. I thought that was my sister’s thing. “I guess it runs in my family. Okay, I need to change.” “Why?” Jackie demanded. “You only have work clothes, unless there’s a little black dress in there that I’ve never seen. Trading in that outfit for another won’t make it date wear.” “Nah, no dresses. Too cold for that here.
