Chapter six

-¿How did you find out daddy?

¿is that really whats important here? ¿uh no? listen daddy I was going to tell you but I wanted to see how I felt first.” “well its nice to hear that you are caring for yourself but I was hurt, have I ever made you feel like you cant tell me something?“ “of course not dad its not like that.  however, now that we’ve addressed that I’d like to meet him. If he is the alpha of another pack; I am very interested in forming an alliance with them.” “hmm ok dad I’ll rely the message.”“ now that we got that out of the way, how are you? do you like it there so far?”

and so I began telling him everything that had happened up to now. He was not very fond of Jack till I explained he had apologized. He congratulated me for holding my ground. Said I’d be in touch often and hung up. When I went back inside I noticed that the sound asleep wolf that I had left in the bed wasn’t there anymore. He was no where to be found in the room and I had to wonder if he had hear any of my conversation. 

I went into the bathroom and took my sweet time getting ready. I put some scrubs on and mind linked Valentina to see if she was awake. She told me she was in the dinning room having breakfast I asked her for directions. When I was about to head out of the room I heard a knock on the door, I opened and there stood this rather small she wolf. She introduced herself as Solenna Brown and said she was the beta’s mate. I nodded in understanding. She then told me that she was instructed by leo to show me the hospital grounds and I smiled to her.

I hadn’t had breakfast but I totally forgot about it at the mention of hospital. However she asked me if I didn’t wanna change my clothing which seemed weird but I agreed. I put on some jeans and a red t shirt and sneakers and headed out once more she was waiting for me. We headed out of the pack house and into village after a block or so pass the park we arrived at the hospital it was a big building of about 5 stories and huge from side to side. As I entered I noticed the dynamic of people around me. We had entered through the main entrance and there was this big desk with some women gossiping there. It was rather empty not many wolfs around. When they noticed us enter they went to their desk and saluted Solenna and I with a bow. I smiled at them and Solenna said we were just gonna be looking around. That there wasn’t a need to notify anyone. We headed inside there was to the right on the first floor some coffee shop and to the left seemed to be the emergency room. Big full of beds but it seemed rather calmed nothing to the hectic life I was used to. She showed me some of the beds and as we passed by different sections I noticed people talking around. I don’t know if it was me or if they were actually talking about us. 

Anyway we were on the second floor checking out MRI sections when I felt someone behind us. This women, as tall as me with glasses and she was standing very straight with a clip board. “Luna, I apologize I wasn’t informed you’d be here today.” I smiled at the old she-wolf “Don’t worry, I wasn’t informed either” was my attempt at a stupid joke yet she didn’t laugh. Solenna seemed like she wanted to explode in laughter and in my head I thought I was really funny. But she leaded us throughout the rest of the hospital showing us around and we ended up in her office. She had coffee and tea brought to us and out of nowhere we were discussing budget. I had no idea what I was doing in that meeting and not helping out around. Yet I nodded as I saw Solenna and Mrs. Victoria Brown interact with each other. When we got out of the hospital and headed back to the pack house it was already 4 something. I couldn’t help but start asking questions, Solenna seemed trustworthy. 

I found out that Victoria is Jack’s mother. Was I shocked. Apparently Victoria and Solenna don't have the best relationship because Victoria wanted Jack to marry someone else before she came along. 

I thought about asking her about Johnny, so I started off... “so is Johnny always so serious?”

She looked at me but tried to avoid my question by simply replying “well yeah” I needed more. So I tried again “yeah he seemed to like me until the mention of Leo being my mate, but maybe I’m overthinking it” she stopped and turned around to look at me “Luna, I know where you are heading you seem a very smart women. But I cant provide you with the answers you are looking for, you’ll have to ask the alpha yourself” I nodded.

AJA! So there was something behind it all. My curiosity grew.

We got to the pack house and I asked about the dinning room again I was starving. She led me to the kitchen and I mind-linked Valentina again. I hadn’t seen her since yesterday and it was time to catch up.

She arrived at the kitchen 15 mins later. I had made her a sandwich as well turkey with chocolate milkshake. She ate with me and when we were done we headed out for a run. 

That was our normal routine... 

We got to the border of the pack line and where the forest per se started that where we undresses and shifted. We ran for like a mile and a half before we stopped for a breath we were at a river. “Hmm something must really be bugging you” she quickly said. I sat beside her I nodded and started telling her I thought something was off. 

I really liked Leo but it felt weird when I was around Johnny so much bad energy, she said she had heard something about him wanting to take over control of the pack but that Leo’s parents had chose him. Leo had been alpha of the pack for little over a year now. That couldn’t be his problem with me. We chatted about other things. She told me she had felt a lemony smell today when she was in the pool but that when she turned around there was nobody around but the people she had already seen. It seemed weird I really wanted her to find her mate, but if he smelled her too why had he not approached. A good half hour had passed since we had left the pack grounds when some warriors arrived at our location. 

We were brought back to the pack house in our wolf forms as we weren’t allowed to collect our clothes. When we entered the office Leo was there. I hadn’t seen him since the morning. He quickly looked at us and handed me a robe. Solenna had been escorted to her bedroom. 

He started off, “I thought you left”

“No, I just went for a run with my best friend” - I was confused as hell “is there a problem?”

“You didn’t say anything...”

“Was I supposed to?”

“You haven’t even been introduced as Luna of our pack and you are already parading around setting bad examples”

“What?”

“We are not aloud in that part of the forest is a treaty with some rouges we have and if you had asked I could’ve informed you”
