“Katina, I'm going to round up the cattle.” I say as I stare at my wife and our new daughter. “Okay baby.” She says admiring our baby. Even though Aria isn't our daughter we decided we would treat her any different. I walk outside to where my horse king is. “Hey boy!” I say and rub his head. After I saddle up we head out to the cattle and start herding them up to the barn all the while thinking about what happened the other day. I wonder when her dragon is going to show up. What's it going to look like? I wonder all these thoughts while my horse does all the work. My father was a dragon rider, I never told anyone that. I wonder if I should tell Katina about it. As I'm thinking this I hear a scream that snaps me out of my thoughts. I turn King towards the house and we take off running. Once I reach the house I jump off King and run inside, shot gun in hand. “What's wrong honey?” I yell as I run in the door. I see Katina with a broom in her hand holding it like a sword. “What are you doing crazy woman?” I ask and set the gun down. “I am not crazy! There is a dragon in the crib and it wont let me near Aria!” Katina yells at me. I look at her and slowly walk over to the crib to see a black dragon the size of a beagle curled up next to Aria showing teeth at me for getting to close. I look back at Katina and walk to the fridge and pull out a couple slices of ham and go up to the dragon. Aria is now awake and looking at me. Her normally blue eyes are now red matching the little dragons. I reach my hand out to pet the dragon and he lets me but not without a snarl first. “Oh this is going to be a whole bundle of fun.” I say and turn and smile at Katina but there is no amusement on her face.
