Chapter Three: A old Man

   “Welcome dad.” I say as I walk my father into our house.  Aria comes running up to us. “Hi grandpa!” She yells as she runs and hugs him. It's been 5 years since Aiken dropped Aria off and my father had never got to meet her until now. I have written many letters to him about her and her huge dragon Talon. My father laughs and hugs her back. “Hi sweetheart.” He says back and hugs her and I have to smile. My dad always wanted more kids but once my mom died he couldn't go back to his people and he never loved again. I look at Katina and she has a warm smile on her face. It took her about a year to get used to Talon, Arias dragon. Once I had told her about my father being a dragon rider she had calmed down a little. I look at Talon and she him standing back snarling and showing teeth at my dad. He's Not the most friendly dragon and I'm sure he hasn't tried to kill us only because of Aria. 

    “Aria would you like to come meet my dragon Flyn?” My dad asks her and smiles at her. Her waves of brown hair bob up and down while she nods and I can't help but smile. I follow them both outside with Talon right on Arias heels. The dragon is now almost too big to fit in our house and it won't be long before he has to sleep out in the barn. I spot Flyn out in the field and I smile. Flynn is an awesome dragon and I'm so happy to see him. “Flynn! Come!” My father yells and Flyn comes flying over. Immediately Talon jumps in front of Aria and is standing in front of her defensively. Flynn stops and stares at the smaller dragon and then before we know it he bows to Talon and my eyes bug out of my head. “My King it is nice to see you again.” Flynn says and I snap my eyes to my dad. 

    After that Aria, Talon and Flynn go off through the field. “Now, why don't you tell me the truth about your little girl,” My dad says putting his hand on my back. I sigh and start telling him the story of how me and Katina came to be raising the princess of the Dragon people.
