Blood Challenge

“We are going to find him” Alpha Damien said to Tessa on seeing the worried look on her face. She couldn’t keep herself together. She had been tapping her foot worriedly where she sat across the Alpha’s desk. Alpha Damien was as worried as she was. He couldn’t tell if his confrontation had scared him off. Things were getting messy and he felt like he had little control of it. His wife was still missing, it was getting harder with every passing day for his daughter and now this with Kieran.

“Are you sure it is possible to avoid this premonition the elder dropped on us?” Niklaus asked with his arms folded, sitting on the empty chair beside Tessa’s.

“I don’t know but we have to try everything to avoid it” The Alpha replied.

“What do we do now?” Tessa finally asked.

“For now we try to make sense of everything going on while the search for Kieran is ongoing…” He paused and then turned his attention to Niklaus. “Why do you think you were targeted for their attack Klaus?”

“I don’t know exactly, but, I have been thinking about it since it happened. It seems to me like they were testing me”

“What do you mean?” Tessa asked with a questioning look

“I think they are planning something, something big and they are just testing the waters for now” Niklaus explained.

“Whatever it is they might be planning, it's definitely nothing good. We have to be prepared also. Be it Kemuri or the Red Lotus, whichever one is planning an attack, we have to be prepared. Which means I need you to activate the group you’ve been creating. I have a mission for them” Alpha Damien explained and Klaus nodded.

“But what about….” Tessa trailed off when she received a text. She quickly unlocked her phone, thinking it must be a text about Kieran. realizing the text was from Raven, she read through it quickly and her eyes widened with fear and surprise. “Oh my God”

With the size of the moon in the sky, it was evident it was going to be a full moon the next night. But standing still under the almost full moon, Kieran kept staring at the moonstone in his hand. He had lost track of time, not knowing if he had been standing there for hours or just minutes . What was going through his head at that moment were the heartbreaking words he heard from Raven earlier. They were playing like a broken record in his head.

He never thought he would hear those words from her. And what he was most scared of, almost happened. She was ready to reject him on the spot had it not been the interruption they got from the arrival of Kreed. The moment she went to check, going out of the room, he had used the opportunity to run off, disappearing through the window he came from and even ditching Killian and now there he was, standing in front of the door with the moonstone in hand.

Kieran looked up from the moonstone and his eyes fell on the door. He didn’t know what he was doing there or why he had decided to go there. Ever since he left the house and ditched Killian, it was as though he was on autopilot, not controlling his movements or thoughts and now he had ended up in front of the Alpha’s house. He glanced up at the moon and sighed before proceeding to knock on the door, thinking since he was there already, he could get some more advice.

Just before he could knock on the door, the door flung open with Diamond standing there, doorknob in hand. “I thought that was you” She said whilst Kieran's fist was still hanging midair. “What’s up?”

“Hey D” He called softly, his eyes housing heartbreak.

Hearing him call her that instead of the nickname he had for her, Diamond immediately knew something was wrong. “What’s wrong Kieran?” She asked, her forced smile fading.

“Everything” He replied, walking in past her.

She shut the door and followed closely behind him. They got to the living room and she sat down next to him on the couch with a worried look. She knew it probably had something to do with what she overheard him and her father discussing the previous night. “What’s going on Kieran?”

“I don’t know where to start from D” He looked at her with these hurtful eyes she had never seen before.

“It’s about Raven and the mate stuff, isn’t it?” She saw the surprise in his eyes and nodded. “Yeah I know”

Kieran sighed, shaking his head. “She chose him D. She chose Kreed…..I was an i***t to think I had a chance” He said and then scoffed with self pity. “I don’t think I’m built for love. I wouldn’t have ruined everything if I was”

“Of course you are. You just haven’t found yours yet” She tried to console him.

He glanced at her and then scoffed again. “I’m sorry for laying this on you. You’re in a worse situation than I am. Your mom is still missing and you’re hurting and here I am putting my burden on you”

“No. it’s not a burden. We are friends. Yeah we are both hurting but who to lay it on if not your friend. You’re never a burden to me Kieran” She said to him softly.

“Thanks D” He shifted his gaze to her eyes and immediately felt a warmth, a warmth that calmed him down a little by just staring directly into her eyes.

Staring directly into each others’ eyes, they became oblivious of their surroundings and the fact that they had fallen into silence. What was mere moments felt like hours to them, especially Diamond whose heart beat had began speeding up and pounding heavily with nervousness. Before she could stop herself from where she sat on the couch, she had leaned in and kissed him on his lips lightly, pulling back almost immediately.

Kieran’s eyes widened from her action. He couldn’t believe what just happened and neither could Diamond. She felt like the most nervous person on earth at that moment, not knowing how Kieran was going to react and also not knowing why she did that. “Diamond” He called softly.

Diamond slowly shifted her gaze to his and immediately saw the confusion in his eyes. Her heart was threatening to rip out of her chest. As soon as his eyes stared directly back at hers, it was as though she saw an invitation, she wasted no time and leaned back, this time sealing his lips with a deep passionate kiss.

Kissing him deeply, she expected he would reject her and break it but to her surprise, his hands found her face, cupping her face and accepting her kiss. That was all she needed for confirmation. She leaned further, got up and sat on him, straddling him. Kieran’s hands slid down to her waist. Diamond felt a burning sensation inside of her, fueling her desire.

“Wait wait wait” He broke the kiss. “What about your dad?”

“No one is at home” She replied impatiently and resumed kissing him. “My room” She added amidst the kiss.

Kieran took the hint and stood up while carrying her as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Diamond wrapped her arms around his neck as they continued their passionate, burning kiss on the way to her bedroom. They had their lips locked till they got there. She stood on the floor, opened her door and led him in, shutting the door behind them. Immediately she did, Kieran picked her up and carried her to the bed. Settling down on it, they finally broke the kiss and then began staring into each other's eyes and for the first time they could clearly see the passion and desire they felt in each other's eyes. "I want you Kieran" She voiced out softly, taking off her jacket whilst maintaining eye contact with him.

Kieran said nothing but proceeded to take off his hoodie. He was too overcome with the desire to have her at that moment that it felt as though he was in autopilot and couldn’t stop himself. He looked down at her after taking his shirt off to see her sitting there in just her bra and jean. The sight of her bare skin aroused him, a feeling he never had with her. He reached for her jean, unbuttoned it and slowly took them off her. She returned the gesture and took his off.

She took his hand and pulled him to her. They climbed on the bed fully and Diamond wasted no time to pull him into her. She immediately wrapped her legs around his waist tightly as though he was going to disappear. He leaned down and locked lips with her while his hand worked its way up from her thighs to her breast, cupping them through the bra. Feeling his touch through the lacey fabric of the bra, Diamond moaned into his mouth. She could feel herself getting very aroused that her scent was beginning to fill the room. She was getting used to his touch on her breast when he withdrew his hand. She opened her mouth to urge him on but all that came out from her mouth was air as she gasped on feeling his fingers sneak their way into her now soaked panties.

Kieran obliged, wanting to give her whatever she needed. He took off his brief fully and then helped her get fully undressed. His eyes immediately got fixed on her bare body. He was awestruck at how perfect her body was. Seeing the look he had, Diamond became nervous. "What?" She asked a bit shy and embarrassed.

"You look…..beautiful" He said for the first time with a sincere and desiring look in his eyes.

Diamond smiled softly with an inviting look. "I am yours" She whispered, eyeing his fully erected member. She was amazed at the size of it. it wasn’t what she was used to but it made it all the more appealing to her. She reached for it and wrapped both her hands around it, looking up at him with eyes showing both innocence and desire. "I want you inside me" She whispered as she guided him slowly to her entrance.

He leaned closer to her, maintaining eye contact all through. "Are you sure?" He asked. She nodded with an approving smile. Kieran kissed her gently and softly as he slowly pushed himself inside her. She gasped, letting out a quiet moan when she felt him fully inside of her

Scar stood up from the chair he had been sitting and picked up his robe. He walked past the dread doctor while putting on the cloak, covering his gauze covered body. He zipped up the robe and turned to face the doctor. “Now that this is out of the way, I believe it is time to clear the next stage of the plan” He said with a calm and determined voice.

“Your body is ready” The doctor replied, the gas mask on his face making his voice sound husky.

“Good. We have waited for too long and wasted enough time” He turned and began walking toward the exit.

Scar came out of the bunker and saw the other members outside waiting for him. The woods where the bunker was located was covered in darkness. He glanced up at the almost full moon that was out sharing its light and then shifted his gaze to his colleagues. He glanced from Rayne to the others. “It is time. It is full moon tomorrow and that will be the perfect time to carry out our plan. It’s time to put an end to the Black Lotus completely” He stated, put on his hood and then walked off into the darkness with the others following behind.

Kieran put on his hoodie, stood up from the bed and then glanced back at Diamond who was on the other side of the room, fully dressed as well. They hadn’t said a word since they began dressing up. Diamond felt embarrassed and shy, too shy to look Kieran in the eyes. Kieran felt guilty, thinking he had taken advantage of their pain and also thinking he had betrayed Raven, cheated on her.

He sighed softly, turning to face Diamond. He was about to say something to her when they heard the front door open. They exchanged knowing glances. “That’s my dad” She pointed out and they both rushed out of the room to go meet him downstairs.

Hurrying down the stairs, Kieran caught the scent of someone else. “Mom?” He said to himself with a puzzled look, wondering what she was doing there. They both got down just in time to see the Alpha and Tessa walking into the living room. “Mom” Kieran called.

“Oh my gosh Kieran? She rushed to him and hugged him. “What are you doing here? Where have you been?” She questioned with relief in her heart.

“What are you guys doing here?”

“We got a text from Raven. She’s scared. They are both heading here right now. They wanted to see us together and that’s why we came here” The Alpha explained, glancing at Diamond who stood behind Kieran.

“Both?” Kieran asked with a questioning look.

“Raven and Kreed….he knows Kieran, Kreed knows everything now” Alpha Damien broke the news just before they heard the door creak open.

They could tell from the footsteps that the person coming over was angry. Few seconds after they heard the door shut, Raven and Kreed appeared in front of them. Kieran immediately felt his heart skip a beat in fear when he saw the anger in Kreed’s eyes. “Kreed” Kieran called with a pleading and scared look.

Seeing him there flared Kreed’s anger. He stormed over to where Kieran was without saying a word and ignoring Kieran’s words. As soon as he got there, he landed a straight and hard punch on Kieran’s face, sending him kneeling on one knee. Kreed didn’t stop there, he immediately grabbed Kieran by his hoodie and began landing blow after blow on his face. “Kreed!” Diamond called with a scared look.

“Kreed please stop” Raven cried, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“Kreed stop you’re hurting him” Tessa called out, seeing her fear play out in front of her.

Kreed ignored all their cries and continued punching Kieran’s now bleeding face. He kept punching Kieran who didn’t bother to resist or protect himself but instead just stayed there on his knees, receiving the punishment he thought he deserved. About to land another punch on him, his hand got seized midair. Kreed looked back and saw the Alpha holding his hand. “That is enough” Said the Alpha, pulling him away from Kieran. “That is not how to go about it” He added.

Diamond stared at Kieran who was still on his knees, bleeding from his lip and face. She couldn’t keep the tears from falling on seeing him in that state. She looked over at Raven and saw her in tears also.

Filled with rage, Kreed looked over at the Alpha and nodded, “You’re right….this is not how to go about it” He said with anger in his voice. They thought that was it until he brought out the claws from his right fingers and balled his hand into a fist. He tightened his fist until his claws tore into his palms and blood began dripping from his fist. He raised up his fist, pointing his bloody fist at Kieran. Seeing this and realizing what he was about to do, Tessa gasped with fear. Alpha Damien shut his eyes, shaking his head, knowing what was coming. “I Kreed challenge you Kieran to an Obedon Duel” He announced with an emotionless expression.

“What?” Diamond gasped, her heart skipping a beat.

“Nooo” Tessa scoffed with a look of disbelief as she dropped on one of the couches.

“No, no, no” Raven buried her face in her palms, sobbing quietly. They all knew what that meant. Challenging someone to an Obedon duel with blood was irreversible. Now that Kreed has done that, they knew it was inevitable and they weren’t ready to face such outcome. The problem wasn’t the duel to them, the problem was that whoever loses gets exiled from the pack.
