After they turned into the gates of the crematorium, Lisa and Adi found themselves in a large garden. A signpost pointed the way to the different chapels, all with floral names, and pointed them in the direction of a car park. The rain was pelting down even harder when they got out of the car and, as they made a run for it, they saw Akira getting out of the van he had rented to bring Lisbeth, the children, Archie and Bert. He’d let them out at the chapel entrance and was struggling with a gusting umbrella that pitched and turned inside out. It was a futile effort and, when he saw Lisa and Adi running, he threw it on the ground and took off after them.
