Chapter 30
“We’re getting close,” Frank said, swinging the ship near the base of the food pyramid. There was a metal walkway that extended around the pyramid’s exterior.
In the distance, two giant carrot monsters fell from the sky and landed on the city. They were the size of skyscrapers, and they stomped around, destroying everything in sight.
“Dayum,” Kendall said. “And I thought Caulette was fierce.”
Frank put the ship in hover mode and it hovered just outside the pyramid.
“Let’s do this,” Kendall said.
“You’re passionate all of a sudden,” Celerity said as she opened the rear doors of the ship. The doors extended down and landed on the walkway.
“I always knew we’d come back to this city,” Kendall said. “I guess I’ve grown a lot since I was here. I’m not as naïve as I used to be.
