The Queen Gangster

Chapter 6

Against Glaze, and her friends’ advice, Violet went to the Canteen and lined up to buy food. I am starving. As she was about to order, a girl pushed her back and stood in front of her. Violet was stunned by the sudden action. She glared and stared at the girl who was about to speak then pulled her hair and went to the counter and ordered her meal as if nothing happened. 

Violet heard the gasp of students that were present in the cafeteria.

"You!"The girl yelled in anger

Violet completely ignored her, paid for the meal, took the mango shake that was the first to be served to her then took a straw. She faced her while sipping on the straw. Ash's growl could be heard so she gently stroked his head to put him at ease.

"The audacity—! Why did you do that?!" she shouted as she was blushing with anger. Violet smiled, amused at the sight of the girl who still sat on the ground  "I am Stacey, The most popular Girl here!"

She chuckled lightly at her screams. This is entertainment.

Stacey glared “You dare laugh at me? Hah! How dare you lowlife laugh at the likes of me! You’re in front of a Queen! How da—”

Violet grunted in annoyance, c*****g her head back as she placed the glass of mango shake on the counter “Yada-Yada-Yada, you talk too much.”

Her face turned even redder. She then tried to tweak Violet’s hair, but the latter was always faster as she immediately grabbed her by the collar and dragged her out of the canteen and tossed her to the empty hall.

"Stop that I’m popular bullshit. Your voice of a banshee is an ear r**e for everyone who hears it. So do me a favor and shut the f**k up or I might end up beating you up" I said annoyed

"Wow! You’re still brave enough to say that!? Tsk, go ahead! be careful Miles, you b***h!"

Violet rolled her eyes as she left her sitting there and went straight to her last class. What is it with bitches and always running to their boyfriends for help?

"Violet ..." Bea called so Violet immediately turned to her, she looked worried. With trembling hands, she gave her something wrapped with a handkerchief "Stay safe. Please."

She ran away as fast as she could and left her thinking. What’s this for?

Violet entered her form while Ash was still following and locked the door. She lowered her bag and removed the handkerchief wrapped around the item. Her eyes widened and sparkled with admiration when she saw a black dagger hidden underneath it. 

"Damn." She muttered to herself as she raised it up to the light and it glistened

Not wanting it to get scratched, she wrapped it in a black handkerchief and put it in the pocket of her bag. Violet then got up to put her bag inside her room with the thought of doing her homeworks later on.

Then her thoughts wandered back to Bea’s words to her before she ran off; 'Stay safe. Please '. 

Why? What's up?

Suddenly a man in complete black outfit barged in her room with a machete at hand. Violet immediately knew what Bea meant. Ash quickly got up and stood in front of her, growling at the man.

"You! You bastard!" He shouted and almost hit did hit her with the sharp edge of the machete

She quickly snatched her bag and ran out of her room. As she jumped around the furnitures in the room to dodge the sharp weapon, she couldn’t help but groan at the broken items. 

"Who are you ?!" Violet asked aloud as she continued to ran away

Ash quickly jumped on to him and kicked him back making him fall back. That was their chance of escape. Violet quickly made a run for it until she reached the door and slammed it shut as soon as she and Ash got out. Fumbling to find her keys, she pulled it out her pocket and locked the door.

“That’ll keep him in for a while.” She said before scrambling to get back up and ran

She was planning to leave the school for a few hours and maybe go home, but as she was about to turn to the hallway that led to the gates of the school, Ash took a turn at the end of the corridor.

“Ash, here!” She called, but he stayed standing where he was, staring and barking at her “here!”

He barked again, louder this time. She grunted and sighed in defeat as she ran towards his direction and followed him towards the rest of the way. She had no idea where they were, but she followed Ash.

Until they stopped in front of a door. She raised her brow at the dog “Here?”

Ash nudged her thigh and she sighed “Why am I listening to a dog?” She knocked on the door three times.

"Who is that?" Shouted a familiar voice inside 

Ash howled and the door quickly opened.

"Oh, Wha—"

He didn't finish what he was going to say because Ash pushed them in and closed the door. Violet stumbled upon Glaze but immediately avoided and regained her balance on her own.

"Why are you here?" He asked

"A man entered my dorm and tried to chop us so Ash brought me here" Violet explained casually

Violet saw Ash lying opposite the door. She approached him, and hugged him.

"Thank you Ash" She said and stroked his head, while he licked her cheek

"Did you see who the man was?" Glaze asked

"No. He was wearing a bonnet with holes for eyes—a typical outfit of robbers I think.” She said and Glaze nodded at her

"Where is he now?" He asked

"I don't know, I just locked him there. But maybe he got out" She said yawning at the same time

He took a blanket and a pillow and laid down on the floor.

"There. You go to sleep in the bedroom." He said as he settled in 

"Okay" Violet didn’t really mind any of the things that happened so she quickly went to lay on his bed. Without realizing it, she had fallen asleep almost immediately.

He just shrugged and closed his eyes and let the darkness overrule them.

Violet woke up to the ringing of her phone so she tried to reach out for it even though she was having a hard time reaching it. When she finally answered the call, she yawned "Hel-"

"Violet! You’re needed here at the base! Now!"

Yolie's voice was heard in the background as Tyler did the talking to her. Violet got up immediately. Ash suddenly got up and blocked the door. He turned his head sideways and seemed to be asking questions.

"Ash, I’m needed at my base.” She said as she took her bag and pulled out the black covered dagger that Bea gave her earlier. “I’m assuming you’re still gonna come with me.”

The dog growled softly making her chuckle. They slowly walked out the door to avoid waking up Glaze, then they ran to the gate. She parkoured her way up the gates of the school, while Ash jumped.

Violet ran as fast as she could to the direction of their base. She knew it was far from their school but she had no vehicle with her when she left home. She was sure it would be at least half an hour to reach it if she runs. So that’s what she did.

And as soon as she arrived at the entrance of their base, she didn’t waste a second and entered through the tunnel-like entrance that led to their base. It was old and signs that said no entry were plastered on the entrance with yellow police tape.

When she finally saw her twin brother at the end of the tunnel, he quickly approached her.

"Talia, We lost 10 members because of a gang crashing in" He said, filling her in with the situation

Violet felt her heart sink upon hearing that “No…”

Without wasting a second, she ran inside the huge mansion.

There are broken objects and blood scattered. I saw Percy, crying in the chair.

"Percy!" She exclaimed and knelt in front of her almost immediately

"Talia,They killed them...They killed him...They killed Sam." She said tearfully

Violet’s eyes widened as she embraced her tightly. She took in deep breaths as she processed what had happened. 

"Who trespassed our base?" I asked

"Young Devils" she cried

She quickly let go of her and approached Tyler next to Ash.

"Tyler, help everyone. May gagawin lang ako." Violet said firmly and took the key of her motor that was hanging around his waist and left the mansion

Violet turned the engine on and quickly drove off and saw Ash through her side mirror, chasing her. She stopped and he jumped to the front and she immediately started driving again. 

They arrived at the old textile factory and found a group of men across the door. Violet parked the motor at the back of the building and got off.

Ash interrupted as if forbidding her to go there.

"Ash, move." She ordered, but he growled, causing her to step back "Ash"

Violet blinked and continued walking even though he was blocking her path. She was getting annoyed so she finally knelt down and faced him.

“I’ll be fine, Ash.” She smiled and leaned her forehead on his

She quickly went to the back of a guard, and Ash jumped on one. Violet hit the man's neck with force, while Ash bit the other's neck.

She smiled at him then peeked inside and saw the person she was planning to kill.

"Hello, Young Devils!" A woman shouted from the mini stage "Earlier, we showed Jiyuu who truly owns the spotlight to the throne!"

They all shouted.

"With my older brother, we can defeat them and get the highest rank in Group Combats!" He shouted which caused them to shout. Never. You will never get us the Highest.

Violet saw her chance to climb so she went to the second floor and secretly watched them from the high ground

"And the throne—oh the throne—of The Queen Gangster will be mine!" she shouted and they continued to cheer louder

Violet tried, but she couldn’t stop herself as she laughed bitterly which was the reason they looked up to where she was. She stood on the railings and grinned as the people below

"Long time no f*****g see, Alexa" She said angrily and jumped down in front of her. What a dramatic entrance.

"You .." she said nervously

"Oh, what happened? when you didn't know I was here you were speaking loudly?" said Violet, plastering a fake smile on her face

She did not speak as if her mouth had been sewn shut and it angered Violet. Without hesitation, she grabbed her hair and placed the sharp edge of her dagger on her neck, pressing gently

"Do you know Sam? Hmm?" Violet asked, almost in a whisper. Alexa did not answer again causing her to grip tighter on her hair. "Hmm?!" She repeated angrily

Then she could hear the reloading of guns around them, making her laugh loudly.

"All right, shoot!” She yelled “You’ll see how your precious little princess will die!" Violet threatened then strangled Alexa with her arm and focused the dagger on her chest.

"Please don't... lower your gun ..." she said breathlessly and nervously

"Is the princess afraid to see the devil early? ... Well you're getting strangled by him" She gritted her teeth, pressing the knife on her neck harder “Do you have any idea what you have done? You killed people from my group to establish dominance and what? Cower in fear when I confront you about it?! You killed my friend’s lover and harmed others! Your pesky plan of stealing the throne from me will not work if you attack them.”

"I-I’m sorry, Violet… Please…” She said crying

"Sorry?! Do you think you can bring Sam back with that pitiful sorry of yours?! No!" Violet shouted angrily

Violet saw Ash approaching them from the crowd of people. He stood beside her, barking and growling lightly. He seemed to be trying to get her back to reality, but she ignored that and pressed the dagger to Alexa’s chest making her scream in pain

"You took lives from us…. I’m just making it even." Violet whispered to her ear and heard her gasp "Sorry ...."

She completely buried the dagger in her chest and pulled it out one she was unconscious. There were those who rushed at her but she just stabbed them like they were nothing. 

Feeling emotionally drained, she walked out of the building as if nothing had happened and rode her motor back to the base.

"Tyler, thank you... Be careful. Don't go out of the mansion unarmed." She ordered, not even looking at anyone of them and returned the key to his motor before gesturing Ash to follow her as she made her way out of their base

As soon as they got back to the campus, they slowly entered Glaze's dorm. The light was off so she slowly walked towards the room she slept in.

"Where were you?" Violet was slightly shocked to hear his voice at the same time the light turned on

"Uhm ..."Violet just kept quiet and scratched the back of her head. She was still feeling drained as she replied “What’s it to you anyway?”

He shook his head "You are with my dog and I want to know where you went for so long."

She wasn’t in the mood to argue with him nor to explain anything, so she rolled her eyes and looked at the clock. 5:45.

"It's only a matter of time before classes start again." He said while putting on a jacket. He threw the white jacket at her "Wear that"

Sighing, she lazily put the jacket on. Just as she was fixing the sleeves, she noticed Glaze’s eyes were on her. She furrowed her brows.

"Oi, what’s with the blood?" He asked so Violet immediately wiped her hand with the blank handkerchief and pocketed it

"Nothing." She simply answered "Wait where are we going?" I asked

Glaze just pulled her out by her arm with Ash and locked the door before walking through the halls. Violet raised a brow when they turned to the direction of her dorm, and they stopped in front of a messy place. The door to the room was removed and hanging by the last screw, and the interior was chaotic. The furniture is broken and the foam of the sofa is scattered.

"If I find out who did this, I will bury them alive." She said annoyed and slowly went to her room and looked for her scrapbook

"What are you digging for?" Glaze asked

“Scrapbook.” She said lazily

Ash and Glaze then began to snoop around as well to help her find it. Violet checked the drawers, cabinets, and under her bed but found disappointment instead of her scrapbook.

She sighed and leaned on the floor, exhaustion overcoming her “I give up.” She muttered to herself

Then Ash barked, making her look up at him. Sigh of relief escaped her lips when she saw him caring the scrapbook in his mouth. She pushed herself up, took the scrap book and hugged it, then kissed Ash’s head.

“Thank you.” She whispered

Violet got up immediately and went out. Glazed followed the two of them without a word. She was just happy she found her scrapbook. She lazily went to the direction of the old playground, ignoring Glaze who was following behind, and just entered the gate.

She wanted time to be alone, but she didn’t really complain.

The more the merrier I guess.
