"I'm not going to sit here and waste my time, it's obvious she's not going to say anything." Jeffrey said as he tapped his feet impatiently. This earned him a glare from a tired-looking Maya. Don't be confused fellas, after Damon saved me from the hands of Miller, he took me to Cole's house where the rest were waiting for me. As soon as we stepped into the house, I was kept on the 'hot seat' and bombarded with questions.  It's been about an hour now and I haven't given them any good enough response. Just shrugs and passive looks every now and then.  Damon and Maya even tried using the whole 'Good cop, bad cop' thing on me but it didn't work. Especially when the bad cop was so annoying, I guess we all know who took the bad cop duty. "Kim! Are you even listening?" Maya said hitting my arm lightly. "What? Sorry. I kinda spaced out." I said trying to appease her with a smile. "Look Kim, I know you probably hate anyone bossing you around or trying to force you into anything, but you need to understand that we're only trying to help. And it's so annoying that you're just making us look stupid for even trying." Cole said looking me dead in the eyes. As much as I didn't want to agree, I knew he was right. They all have better things doing than being here with me and they really don't deserve this treatment.  "It's not that I don't appreciate your effort, but I don't want to be a burden to anyone." I said with my head bowed. Guilt was an emotion that rarely came to surface for me. "Oh please spare me that crap. Young lady, something is definitely up with you and helping you out of whatever thing you and Miller have going on isn't a burden. We're also doing ourselves a favour." Maya said giving me a 'don't-you-dare-argue' look. * * * "Okay fine. What do you want to know?" I finally said when the silence was becoming unbearable. "Finally." Maya said clapping her hands excitedly and taking the seat across from me.  "Don't you dare lie to us." She said with a serious look before giving Cole a nod. "Are you and Miller dating?" Cole asked immediately. I felt so irritated being associated with such a pig in that way. But I can't blame anyone for making such an assumption. He's been all over me for the past two weeks. "No and yes." I said with a shrug. "Crazy, now isn't the time for your attitude." Damon spoke for the first time in quite a while. "Crazy?!" Maya, Cole and Jeffrey all asked at the same time. "That's a story for another time." Damon said and everyone's attention was back to me. "Unfortunately Damon, I'm being very serious about my answer. No, because it's not something I'm doing willingly but yes, because I'm dating him." I said scrunching my nose in disgust. "I don't get it, why will you date someone if you don't want to?" Jeffrey asked, confusion written all over his face.  He looked so cute, I could give a granny squeeze to those lovely cheeks. "Earth to Kim." Maya said waving her hand in my face. "Well he kinda has something he's holding against me as blackmail." I said trying my best to give off the passive vibe. My answer was a little vague, but at least it was the truth. "And what exactly is this 'something' that he's holding against you?" Cole asked expectantly. "Must I really go into details?" I asked tiredly. "Yes" They all said in unison with a scary look, so I knew better than to argue. I told them about how I met him and Darcy making out during Cole's party and my reaction, how when I got home I noticed my window open but didn't suspect anything and finally about the day he sent the threatening message to me with an attachment of a picture of me naked in the shower.  And I definitely didn't forget to add how he's been making me act like an obedient puppy to his orders. "That son of a b***h! I'm going to kill him, I swear." Maya said pacing about, she was beyond angry. "You know he can actually get into trouble with the law for this, since your consent wasn't given for this pictures to be taken." Jeffrey said thoughtfully. I obviously thought of that before but it's too much attention. "That's a good idea Jeffrey, but it'll draw too much attention and if he finds out that the police is involved, he could post the pictures before they get to him and we both know how fast those kind of pictures spread." I said sighing in defeat.  I really didn't want the police involved, it'll make the news go wild. "So what do we do?" Maya asked and she looked as defeated as I was.                                                          "We can't allow that asshole to keep playing this stupid game. And why didn't you tell us sooner. You can be really dumb Kim. Ever known that?" She added flicking my forehead. I was about to start a cat fight with her  when Cole spoke up. "Guys I think I have an idea." That definitely got everyones attention and we all stared at him like blood thirsty vampires. "My sister is good with computers, hacking and stuff like that. If you can get all of his gadgets, we can get the pictures deleted even from his cloud and drives without him knowing. And if he got them saved on other devices, she can track them down too." Cole said with a victorious smile. "That's great, but how do we get  his gadgets without him noticing?" Maya asked already looking my way. "That's simple just leave it to me and some bottles of beer." I said with an evil smirk.  Miller has very low tolerance level for alcohol. He won't even finish a bottle before he gets drunk.  "I guess we have a plan then." Jeffrey said with an adorable smile, earning nods of approval from the rest of us. ******************************************  It was getting close to midnight and I had a couple of missed calls from my mum. She knew I went for the party, but she just wanted to be sure I was okay. I couldn't blame her for worrying.  She definitely couldn't afford to lose me, but that's a story I'm not ready to tell. "Thanks a lot for the help guys. I think I should be on my way home. Don't want my mum to get worried." I said dusting off the cookie crumbs from my short. "You better not pull something like this on me again. And hey, hope that asshole didn't infect you with cooties." Maya said while giving me a tight hug.  She just said cooties, I'm definitely rubbing off on her. "Bye darling, be safe." Cole said giving me a hug before going back to sit close to Maya.  I'd noticed them a lot tonight but I was not going to ask, at least not yet. "Won't you say bye to your favorite person?" I questioned as I moved closer to Jeffrey. "Not if you are going to squeeze my cheeks again." He said swatting my hand away from his cheek. "Your loss." I said turning away from him diva style.  "Bye Damon and happy thanksgiving guys." I said heading for the door. "Goodnight y'all." Damon said while also making his way to the door.  After his comment about my 'yes and no' answer earlier, he became unusually quiet. I was surprised he even had the decency to say goodnight. "Are you coming or not?" Damon asked bringing me out of my thoughts. The door to the house was open and he stood outside giving me a questioning look. "Coming? I'm taking a cab." I said after closing the door behind me. "Don't worry. It's getting late, I'll just drop you off at your place." He shrugged and walked to his car. "Thanks a lot for this offer of unusual kindness, but I can't make you take a whole different direction from where you're going and my house is really far." I said trailing right behind him. "Kim I'm not exactly doing you a favour. I live few blocks away from you." He said.  I'm pretty sure the look of shock on my face was priceless because he started laughing his ass off. "Asshole." I muttered as I pushed past him and got into the car. ****************************************** We had been on the road for about fifteen minutes now and this awkward silence was killing me. I could feel the tension, but couldn't place my finger on the cause. "I'm not doing this." I said hitting the dashboard lightly. "Took you long enough." Damon said with a smug look. "What are you talking about? I answered the questions you guys asked honestly." I defended. "You answered their questions Kim, not mine." He said combing his hair with his fingers.  Drool worthy action if I may add. You better not judge me, if a man is hot, he is hot. "Kim!" Damon calling my name brought me out of my thoughts.  Bad timing brain, bad timing. "When are you going to tell me what you meant by your statement at the park?" He asked. I would have come up with a sarcastic response and ended it with cooties, but the look of seriousness on Damon's face scared the hell out of me. I looked away immediately. This was why he was quiet back at Cole's place. I couldn't tell him or anyone at all. They'll probably think I'm stupid for what I did. "I know you heard me Kim. Don't shut me out. We all need someone to vent to, I promise not to judge." He said just as the car was slowing down.  Was he actually parking? Goodness gracious!! This dude meant business. "It's nothing, just forget it. I was just being overtly dramatic and said things that didn’t even make sense”. I said trying my best to sound indifferent. "You know I don't give up easily Kim. We're not leaving here until we talk and you better not try running." He said with a victorious look. I could decide to run, but I don't even know where on earth this place is and it's so late, that won't even be a safe option. "Here goes nothing." I sighed under my breath. This was definitely going to be a long night...
