**Thalia
Even though it was already getting dark, I still insisted on going to see that dickhead since the police station wasn't so far. Vito insisted on riding me and would get me back home, so I grabbed my helmet, accepting to be a pillion passenger for the first time in my life.
I sat behind him, wrapped my arms around his body and then whispered to him, “Let's start going…”
He twisted the throttle and the engine growled into space, then we kicked off.
It took just ten minutes, and we arrived at the police station; then he led me towards their infirmary where the man could be.
“Frankline the giant!” he said to the nurse at the counter, and my brows furrowed.
I tapped him, “Did you say Frankline?” I asked, and he nodded. “What a beautiful name for a devil,” I commented, and he chuckled.
The nurse searched and gave us his ward number, then we headed there to see the imbecile, as he called him. He was lying on the bed, bandaged all over his limbs, his face, eyes and lips all swollen.
I looked at the man who might barely see me, and then at Vito, “What did you do to him?” I wasn't asking out of concern, but to know if it was enough. People like him didn't deserve to walk under the earth. He didn't look merciful when he wanted me pressed down in that restroom.
Vito walked closer with his palms in his trouser pocket, “The Prez didn't want him dead, so I did teach him a little lesson.”
“A little lesson? With all these bandages?” I asked, my eyes growing wide.
He licked his lips, “Are you pitying him?”
“Pitying?” I laughed out loud. “I could have done more to him if you did nothing. So, what did you use? A bullet? You look like you can handle one.”
He bit his lower lip and shook his head, “My brothers punched and hit him, and I stabbed my tanto knife into his limbs.”
Jesus Christ! He did that? I fought, but couldn't handle weapons. Not that I couldn't use them, but hurting one with it was so difficult for me.
Why am I shocked? He was a biker, and I wasn't. I had just learned how to fight for self-defence reasons.
My gaze shifted from him to the man lying like he was in a coma, and I shook my head. “So, he's not gonna make use of his limbs again?”
“Kind of. I think that's better since cutting off his d**k could cause his death and the Prez didn't want us getting ourselves into trouble. We don't stand people like him, so all of my brothers got out their anger with a blow.” I nodded as he explained, and it sounded so sweet.
In fact, seeing the man this way was enough for me. He wouldn't forget what happened and would live with the scar all his life. He would also try to tutor several men like him out there to be mindful of their acts, or they could pass through the same s**t as him.
“But…” I stepped closer to the bed where the man lay. “...hitting his groin ain't gonna cause his death, right?”
Vito nodded, “You wanna do that?”
“That stuff needs to hurt him a little, so he will realise how precious it could be if he didn't try to abuse it.” I breathed out, folded my sleeve and released a stomp between the man's legs. I didn't even think twice, and I hit him again before Vito held me up.
I couldn't stop laughing.
“Look, he can't even cry out. If you hit him one more time, he might pass out. We can't get into trouble, okay?”
I nodded, and we started to leave the room.
“At least, he won't see the daylight again. From here to prison.” I muttered as we walked out of the ward.
Doing that to him made me feel like a burden was taken off my shoulder. He was the first person to get at me, and I couldn't fight back and save myself, so getting my revenge on him even though the club already did, meant a lot to me.
I felt like I had finally gotten what I deserved.
It had gotten dark by the time we walked out of the hospital premises. We got on the bike once again, and Vito rode me back home.
“I'm expecting you next weekend,” he said the moment I alighted from his bike. “Will you come around?”
I pouted, and then nodded. “But we could have dinner before you leave. Must you eat with your brothers?”
He chuckled, “It's not that way. If you want, then I'm good at eating with you.”
I couldn't hold back my smiles and nodded. “What do you want me to prepare?”
“Us, not you…I can cook too,” he stated, and we locked eyes together before bursting into laughter.
I unlocked the door, and we went in. Then I quickly got out my boots and entered the kitchen.
He came in with me. “What do I help you prepare?”
“Uhm…” I rolled my eyes. “...either burger and coffee, or grilled meat and vegetable salad. Which do you crave?”
He shifted closer to me, stared at me for some time, and muttered, “I'm a lover of meat, so I'll go for the latter.”
I nodded, “Then, I'll get out the meat and have it sliced.”
“You could focus on the vegetables and take care of the meat.”
“If you say so.” I grinned and headed to get the meat.
Honestly, this was my first time getting help in the kitchen. I didn't even know some men could cook, talk about helping in the kitchen. All through as the breadwinner when I was still married to Dante, he would wait until I was back and made us dinner. And because of this, I made it in the morning, and we microwave it at night, or I place an order for us.
I had no one to complain to, and I wasn't even seeing it as stress because it had to do with my husband.
If I could turn the hands of the clock around, I would reject Dante until he hated himself, beat him up if he pestered me.
Vito stayed with me in the kitchen, spiced and grilled the meat while I prepared the vegetable salad. Having them ready was so quick because I wasn't doing it alone, and the meat tasted so great.
“Who taught you how to cook?” I asked him, and he smiled widely. “Don't tell me that your ex did.”
He shook his head, “I taught myself from online tutorials, and I cooked for the club when we didn't have ladies who did that. It was all fun then, and I missed it.”
Wow! Just wow!
“How does it taste?” he asked, and I licked my lips.
If I told him that it tasted like him, would he see it as an insult? But it was so great; it had that unique flavorful taste.
