The news of Rian’s accident was concealed. She had wished not to spread it with a lot of people. The moment she woke up, she saw Lance holding her hand, hoping for her to wake up. She was really confused. It seemed that Shin wasn't human but he looked Human. She needed answers— answers that only Lance can give. She felt her hands beginning to get wet. She looked at Lance and patted his head. Someone came and opened the door to her room.

“Ah. Ms. Schevets, you’re awake. I was informed that your parents will come here 3 days from now. Mr. Junerer already told me what happened. Ill let you rest now. Call me if something happens.” The doctor turned around but stopped as she handed Rian her phone.

“Mr. Junerer told me to get the number of your parents from this phone.” Rian took it and the doctor finally left.

There were 100+ calls coming from her brother and from her parents. She checked her mail and saw something terrifying.

From: Mina

To: Rian Schevets

You met Shin? What are you talking about Rian? Have you forgotten about our classmates who died last summer? They were Mike and Shin. You weren't there at their funeral Rian because you said that you couldn't come.”

After meeting Shin, she mailed Mina. Mike’s older sister. She wanted to thank Mike and invite him to hang out some time but this happened.

Lance woke up and looked at Rian. Tears were in his eyes. As he realized that he was crying, he wiped it off quickly.

“Something was in my eye. Don't ask what.” Lance told her.

“What happened?” She questions, she got stabbed by the male beside her but she knew that it wasn't his intention to but she just got herself in his business thats why she was suffering from the painful wound. Te news got her crest-fallen.

“Listen. Your friend, Shin is already dead. His body was possessed by a tainted angel. You were put into a curse. Remember I was reading Snow White? Well guess what Princess, the moment you eat that apple he gave you, you'll die. I had to kill him to end your curse.” The male said. She couldn't believe it.

“Wai-wait. You're a demon right? How can I trust what you say?” Rian asked, doubting the male’s words.

“Well. A part of me is. Kei is.” Lance sighed.

“I guess theres no point in hiding this. My mom is an angel. My dad is a demon. My mom was banished from heaven. In order to protect me from unlocking my demon, they hid me up in the heavens but on my birthday, I dreamt about stuff that was the time that Kei came up to me and asked me if I was willing to be his master. I took his hand and before I knew it, I was already tainted. I was already one of the fallen. A halfling like me...isn't welcome anywhere. And so, I made a deal. A deal that would make my immortality stop. I took a road to redemption. But I hurt you. A human so the deal is terminated.” Lance explained.

Rian was crest-fallen. She thought that it was her fault that these kind of things had happened to the male. She looked down.

The female’s expression did nit go unnoticed by the male. He smiled when he realized that the female was actually caring for his well-being.

“Hey its not your fault.” Lance reassured the female and these words made her feel worst.

“S-so...what will happen to you now?” She asked, concerned.

“We’ll see.” Lance said and laughed.He didn't want to give him worries anymore

“Now that I know that you're alright. Im taking my leave.” He said and start to head towards the door but then he turned around and hugged the female as tightly as he could. Rian had her eyes wide but she decided to just give him a pat in the back. He pulled away from the hug and looked down to the floor, clearly down.

Flashback: Lance’s choice

Location: Lance’s condominium

“You broke the contract Lance. You are unable to go back to heaven.” Kei reminded the devastated male.

“I know. I know. Now that Im already a demon. You gotta find a new vessel Kei.” He told his demon.

“Yep. On it. Ive decided to take on that Shin’s body. He was already tainted with a demon so it wont be that difficult.” Kei said and looked at the body before the two of them. It was Shin’s body.

“Wanna start the ritual?” Lance offered as he took out a book and started drawing on different symbols on the floor.

“And by releasing you out of my body, and with hurting a human, Ive finally given up on being reincarnated. Ive doubled my sins but I guess I don’t have any regret. At least... I have found someone to protect.” Lance said, having mixed emotions but the one thing that he was sure of is that he is slowly falling for the human female.
