As soon as he let me go, I started pacing again, and I knew right then that I wouldn't get any peace unless I was as close as I could possibly be. I headed over to the bed and grabbed my things. George never said a word and just followed me from the room, closing the door behind him. We piled into my dad's car without speaking and drove over to the hospital. It was almost like I couldn't form words anymore, I just didn't have the brainpower for such things. The hospital was pretty dark when we got there.
