Chapter Twenty Five
"Here," I said in a loud voice as I continued walking towards Sonny. He looked at me and I smiled at him. "Thank you for the food. It was good," I complimented as I handed him the container.
He got the container from me and smiled back "Oh, thank you. I'll give you again some other time," he said.
My eyes widened and waved my hand in front of him. "No need," I said and laughed. "I did not mean it like that,"
He chuckled. "I know," he replied. "But when I cook again, I will still give you some,"
I nodded. "Okay," I said. "Thank you, I guess,"
He nodded back. "Yeah, s I gotta go now," he said as he pointed towards his house.
I nodded again and he turned his back on me. When he was gone, I closed the door.
