Chapter Twenty Seven   After our time at the carnival, we decided to already go to school.   “I already had five missed calls from Cayden,” I told Travis. He was just starting the engine before he drove out of the carnival.   “We’re already late,” he commented. We were already thirty minutes late. We stayed for a few more minutes above the sky riding the Ferris wheel.   “Is it okay, tho?” I asked about us being late at the ball. This is my first ball here and I’m late.
