Ink AND LONGING

Episode 5 Rain tapped against the library windows as Emilia unfolded the next letter. The sound wrapped around her like a lullaby, but her heart raced with every word. “I don’t know why I’m telling you things I’ve never told anyone else. Maybe it’s because you don’t know my face, and that makes it safe. Or maybe it’s because you see me in a way no one else has. Either way, your letters feel like light in a place I thought would always be dark.” Her eyes blurred with tears she quickly brushed away. The stranger her stranger was slowly becoming her secret anchor. Each letter she wrote back was no longer just a reply; it was a confession of the girl she was when no one else was watching. She wrote quickly, ink smudging at the corners: “You’re not alone. You may not know me, but I feel you. Every word you write finds me in ways I can’t explain.” Hours later, Adrian returned to the book and found her reply. Reading it, his lips curved into the first genuine smile he had worn in weeks. Neither of them knew that outside the pages, they had already crossed paths more times than they realized two souls circling closer, guided by fate and ink.
