The Dark Moon

Oaklee’s POV, Beep beep beep… After barely any sleep, I opened my eyes to get ready for school. Although I am an honor student, I stayed up all night studying for my finals today. One week left, I silently said to myself as I forced myself to get out of bed. About thirty minutes later, I am showered and standing in my room in front of my vanity, applying my lotion to my sun-kissed skin. I am 5 ft on the dot, with long wavy dirty blonde hair stretching down my waist. Bright blue eyes and I was blessed with my mother’s skinny curvy figure with a C cup and excellent hips and butt. After applying some light mascara with a tiny amount of lip gloss, I walked into my closet, searching for an outfit for the day. After about five minutes, I sipped into my strapless white short sundress that stopped just above my knees, matched it with my tan Sandals and my jean jacket. As I exited my room, I made it down in time to grab a quick bite to eat. Within seconds my twin brother Elon came around the corner with his best friend, Kye, the future Beta. Kye and I are fraternal twins where Kye is about 6’2, with bright blue eyes and dirty blond curly hair neatly presented at the top of his head with his fresh haircut. We are exact opposites. He is far more outgoing than I am, and as for school, he gets by with Bs and Cs. Right before we got ready to head off to school, my mother, The Luna for the Forest Pack, came running into the dining area of the packhouse, letting us know of her final arrangements for our birthday/ Blue Moon festival this weekend. Our mom usually goes nuts planning, but this is the first year our birthday fell on a special occasion. We’re turning 18, can finally find our mate, and come in contact with our wolf. I have always dreamed about meeting my Mate. And unlike most teenage boys, I can say, my brother, Elon, cannot wait either. Elon takes pride in finding his perfect gift from the moon goddess herself and taking over the title of Alpha of the Forest Pack. We both chose to wait for everything until we found our mates. We made our way outside, where I spotted my best friend, Athena, and I jumped into her car. Athena has a twin brother named Zayden, and I spotted Elon and Kye getting into his car. For their 18th birthday, they both got brand new vehicles. Athenas was an all-black mustang with light pink racing stripes, and Zayden received a black Jeep wrangler. After arriving at Centennial high school, we parked in our designated parking spots. We made our way to the front, where I spotted Caleb Brown. I’ve always had the biggest crush on him and couldn’t help but pray to the moon goddess she would bless me with him as a mate. We made our way to the first period; Athena and I sat up front and waited for the teacher to administer the final. After three full periods pass, it’s finally time for lunch. Athena and I sat outside to eat today under the big oak tree. Oaklee, I cannot wait for your party this weekend! The entire pack can’t wait either! The Alpha and Luna through the best parties, and to top it off, so many surrounding Pack officials will be attending we have a better chance at finding our mates! After lunch, I prayed the rest of the day would go just as smooth and couldn’t wait for graduation on Friday. The rest of the day went by super fast and by the time we made it back to the pack house saw my mother and a couple Omega‘s planning out the food for Saturdays festivity’s. Elon’s POV Oaklee are you excited for Saturday! I didn’t know mom, invited so many different packs. I am Elon, I’m just sad I may have to leave our pack. I grew up here. Oaklee any guy would be lucky to have you. You’re smart, funny, and most importantly the best sister. I can’t believe we’re almost 18.
