Calvin knew he had a large chunk of memories missing from that night. As they were on their way back to the bar, the last thing he could clearly remember flashed in his mind. Not knowing he had already confronted Sam about it, he wasn’t so direct in asking this time around.
“Where did you go earlier?” he said, pretending to be nonchalant. “I looked over and you were just gone.” He paused and looked at the ground. “I think that’s why I went out. To look for you.”
